Stayed at the tropic garden from the 15 of sept to the 24th with my girlfreind and two children 9 and 6 had a great time rooms were spacious (booked one bedroom apartment)and very clean. maid came every day to change bins sheets and sweep and mop hotel staff were freindly and helpfull we had hot water everytime we needed it. and great shower.children loved the outdoor and indoor pools.santa eulalia is a good town for shopping plenty of good places to eat and great bars and cafes. not lively for night clubs but thats why we went there. but as ibiza town is only 15ks away if you hire a car for your stay you can travel the island. wouldnt hesitate to return to this hotel. and probably will

" Absolutely awful "

Avoid this Aparthotel. I have recently returned from a stay at this hotel with my two young daughters (4 and 7 yrs) and mother and have had one of the most awful experiences of my entire life. My family was placed in a ground floor room just above all the generators for the hotel, the room overlooked a road and some flats. As a result of the room being above the generators, there was a loud vibration noise which continued throughout the night, the noise was so loud that we were unable to sleep. We requested a room change, but were told that the better rooms were reserved for Spanish guests and so could not move.
The hotel staff were rude, unhelpful and not at all bothered about the fact that they had placed my family in a room which was unsuitable. I do not recommend this hotel and will not be returning in the future!

Advice: Picturesque

" Lovely hotel "

My boyfriendand I stayed in this hotel from a week at the end of August, The Hotel is a 15 minute walk into the centre of Santa Eulalia where you will find the Marina, Shops and beaches. There is also a bus station with regular busses to surrounding towns.
When we first arrived and were given our room keys we weren't very happy with the room we were given considering the price we had paid. The room wasn't like what we saw in the brochure with 2 seperate sofa beds instead of a bed, When we went the the reception to complain we were asked if we requested a sea view? which suggested you needed to request a sea view to have proper beds??? however once we had discussed the issue with our tour rep he explained that half of the studios are sofa beds and half are normal beds, and we were able to move into a room with normal beds. The room that we moved into had a lovely view of the pool and sea and the room was clean and tidy.
The hotel is very clean and modern and the staff are friendly and happy to help you with any questions about the local area. There were plenty of sun beds available, considering the time of year we went, and a couple of the days there were sunbeds available all day. The pool was lovely and clean and there is a pool bar open throughout the day serving drinks and ice cream and snacks at lunch.
The restaurant was nice and clean and the food was lovely, Salad was served every day as well as pasta and sauce and chips with a variety of other dishes available each day.
We didn't watch much of the entertainment as we walked into Santa Eulalia most evenings, but throughout the day there was activities going on for adults and children.
Apart from the slight problem with the room at the start of the holiday we really enjoyed this hotel, and we are already considering returning next year, this time we will request a Sea view though.

Advice: Lovely resort for families and couples with lots of restaurants overlooking the Marina and Beach.

Activities: The Caves at San Miguel and Ibiza town- comes alive at night

" Wonderful - Book it! "

We had a studio for 1 adult and 1 16 year old. All inclusive food was great with lots of fruit and salads if you didn't fancy the hot dishes. There wasn't much in the way of choice for younger children, but there was pizza and fries most days and lots of bread, pastries, cake and ice cream.
Studio appartment was more of 3 star standard but clean and perfectly functional - apart from hair dryer - useless design - breaks constantly, after our second replacement we gave up and dried our hair in the heat of the sun on the balcony! Take your own!
Hotel is beautiful, lots of clean, sparkling marble everywhere. Pool is very large but there is still the problem of beach towels with no owners on all the beds by 8 am (despite warnings not to - this is ignored). Both hot and cold drinks available all day from the pool bar and from the main bar indoors from 6pm - around midnight'ish. There is ice cream avialable from the pool bar as well as lemon and orange slush drinks, pastries in the morning and cake in the afternoon as well for all inclusive guests.
Entertainment - fantastic Experience Team are just brilliant for keeping the children entertained both day and night - toddlers to 12 years will love it - lots of little ones there when we went and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There is entertainment for adults from 9.30 pm, Bingo, Music Quiz, We will Rock You show, Mama Mia show - which is passable, although some weren't impressed.
Beach is a good 20 minutes stroll away with the harbour 10 - 15 mins depending on whether you take the direct route or the scenic route!
Fabulous holiday for families with young children, or older couples who want everything in one place. Not a place for teens - those that were there looked thoroughly bored. I took my 16 year old into San Antonio for a night around 30 euros each way in a taxi - fabulous night out - highly recommended!
They currently have Table Tennis, Darts, Air Hockey, pool table all close to the poolside area. Would definitely go back without my teenager!

Advice: Beautiful Town with excellent picturesque walks along the main prom.

Activities: San Antonio - lovely place as well as being lively, but very safe and enjoyable

" Great Laid Back Resort! "

Booked as a last minute 10-day deal due to redundancy. Used Lowcostbeds.com for a good deal not knowing what to expect...
All paperwork was received via one email after the online transaction - flight, transfer, hotel. Everything was painless and went like clockwork - would use Lowcostbeds again.
Santa Eulalia is a great laid-back resort with just enough for a relaxing holiday with plenty of restaurants, bars and walks. We went mid October and being middle-aged was just 'buzzy' enough for us. We would have liked a couple of '70's Disco' places for the odd wild night, but any 'clubby' type of venue (I think there were ony two!) didn't start till 11pm - and we were ready for bed by then. There were no live jazz band bars either.
We stayed at the Tropic Garden Aparthotel which was a perfect location for a nice 15 min pleasant stroll to the town or 20 minute stroll the opposite way along the coastline to a great quiet sandy beach which was ideal for swimming.
We booked self-catering and the kitchenette area had the basic of utensils which suited us. However, if you're a family you'll probably need to purchase a few items locally to complement the crockery etc.
The hotel and rooms were kept very clean and outside swimming pool nice and big (but not heated).
With regard to hotel entertainment, this was mainly focused on young families with children, with no separate bar or entertainment for the middle-aged folk - so we went to the town every evening to escape!

" Excellent! "

Don't listen to any bad comments about this place, its fabulous. For the money, you just wont find better. We had a great time and the rooms are spotless and well managed and maintained.
Pool outdoors is an aquired taste in terms of a bit cold, but once in its brilliant. Try the indoor heated one if you're a proper wuss :-)

" We have just returned from a... "

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Tropic Garden hotel ( 4 adults and one 3 year old). Our apartment was huge, over looking the pool with an extremely spacious balcony. We were on an all inclusive basis and the food and drink was excellent value for money with a great selection available for vegetarians and fussy 3 year olds too! I would definately recommend booking all inclusive as a few of the self catering guests commented on the price of drinks and cost of eating out within the resort.
We found all of the staff extremely helpful and the kids club were happy to let my 3 year old join in with the activities as long as they were accompanied by a parent. The pools were great too and we used both the indoor and outdoor pools every day.
The only draw back would be the evening entertainment. My son loved the mini disco however the entertainment from 9.30pm was bingo or karaoke and the music selection could have been better!
A fantastic hotel in a great location with lovely food and facilities and we would love to return!

" Although when we arrived our room was... "

Although when we arrived our room was not ready untill 14.30 that was not a problem. All of the hotel and complex was very clean and well maintained. I did discover a problem being that we had paid £175.00? under occupancy that did not matter as we were taking our grand children and I stipulated a separate bedroom for them, the problem was that no way could the room accommodate 4 adults as it does state in the brochure, (the 4th bed is only suitable for up to a 12 year old), ie wardrobe space NIL, 3DINNING CHAIRS, every time we ate we had to bring in a patio chair and put a cushion on it. I did lodge a formal complaint with the rep before we left. And I have to say we have been travelling abroad for a lot of years and this is the first time we have ever complained. I am amazed Thomson put up with this. But as I stated nothing was wrong with the hotel in general, the Animation Team were out of this world with what they did with the children.

" Was nervous after reading previous... "

Was nervous after reading previous comments, but needn't have worried. The hotel was great, the food excellent (loads of choice), apartment spacious, pool fab. My only gripe would be the lack of choice on all-inclusive at the pool bar (but you can go into the restaurant), and food stocks weren't always replenished as quickly as they could have been.

The entertainment was great - good family fun, which managed to amuse all 3 kids (aged 3, 15 & 19) and a couple of 40-somethings!! It wasn't always that professional, but they tried hard, and that was part of the charm!

Previous comments about it being a German hotel were unfounded - a few Germans, but mainly 45% Spanish/45% English. But whatever the nationality, everyone was friendly.

The location was fine for those on all inclusive, but it could be a bit too far from the resort if you needed to walk there every night (about 20mins).

" My wife, two children and I found the... "

My wife, two children and I found the Tropic Gardens Hotel a fantastic holiday venue. The accomodation, whilst basic, was spotlessly clean and the air conditioning made it comfortable with temperatures outside reaching 32 celsius.

The children loved the pool complex and also the indoor pool in which to cool off in during the hot summer sun. The entertainment staff were excellent and encouraged guests to participate in the various activities offered to adults and children alike, (water polo, darts, volleyball and table tennis to name just a few). The entertainment team also provided fun family shows in the evenings that we all enjoyed.

The all inclusive rate gives fantastic value for money and the food provided was excellent with a wide variety on offer. It was also pleasant to use the pool side bar during the day and not have to worry about carrying any money.

During our stay my youngest child suffered an ear infection that required medical attention during the early hours of our last day prior to our flight home. We found staff extremely pleasant and helpful and provided us with facilities for our child to rest which we were truly greatful for.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and my family and I lwould ove to return again.
