THe hotel is extreamly basic, is in dire need of a refurb - the food again is basic with limited choice although we managed to eat a meal each night, the breakfast was again the same but you could find something to eat if only a cup of coffee and a slice of toast! The hotel was well situated for the resort, which is compact with mainly restaurants and only a handful of decent bars " Charlies" bar was probably the most popular, offering nightly entertainment, some of which was very good, other nights I could of sang better myself !! - My children made friends in the hotel which was good for them but this did mean that we had to suffer poor entertainment and overpriced drinks, also I must add that the slightly older children probably aged between 12-16 were extreamly noisy at night right thru till about 2.00 - 3.00 in the morning, most people complained about this and it seemed to be the topic of conversation around the pool most days. Would not go back to this hotel again and probably would not go to Es Cana as not enough going on for me really.

Just spent 2 great weeks at the Anfora Playa. The rooms were basic but clean , towels changed every day and beds a couple of times a week. The pools and poolsides were kept very clean .The food was good unless you are a 'Veggie' in which case there wasn't really much choice but that is the same in almost every hotel and restaurant everywhere. All the staff were helpful and polite at all times. The entertainment staff worked very hard to make sure there was something for all ages (hope Tony's leg is better}. Bearing in mind that this is a 2* hotel and not 5* I think it is excellent value for money. Es Cana is a lovely resort with a good choice of bars and restaurants and quite a few interesting shops not forgetting the hippy market every Wednesday. It is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel to the beach, there are also some lovely walks.

This is a fantastic hotel apart from the food!! Breakfast was good but the evening meal was very poor. The starters were ok and the deserts but the main meal was poor. I know it is only 2 star but even so. There were a lot of children at the hotel and they were not well catered for. The entertainment staff Ana and Tony were great they had their work cut out for them with the kids and the adults. This is a family hotel so there are plenty of kids, we had a great time at this hotel apart from the food.

Arrived at 10pm, got a very friendly welcome and a meal. Hotel rooms are very basic but clean. There were 2 adults and 2 grandchildren. The kids really enjoyed all the facilities and the hotel itself. All the staff were friendly and accommodating which made the holiday enjoyable and relaxing. Food was good without being excellent, but the kids enjoyed it. Es Cana is a lovely resort and excellent for families.

We arrived at 5 in the morning and were greeted by a night porter who give us our info pack and was very nice to us. Then went to sleep for a few hours before getting breakfast.
When we first entered we did not thing very much but when we sat down with our food it was exceptional. There was everything from a full English breakfast to cereal. You could have fruit juice to drink or tea or coffee and much more.
Now the rooms were really clean when we first walked in and the beds were made plus we had clean towels ready for use. During the day the entertainers Anna +Toni did all sorts of games with the kids and even the adults. Also in the week scuba diving instructors came and gave a free taster session.
The entertainers would play stuff like darts and pistol shooting or even archery and if you hit a certain target you could win a free drink or make the entertainers jump in the pool in their clothes. Most of the bar staff were English and were very helpful and nice. They would sometimes have a chat with you.
In the bar area there was satellite TV. There was 3 pools two main pools and a toddler pool. Entertainment at night was excellent it was all performed outside except the drag queen he performed inside
The evening meal was great like the breakfast the only downfall was you had to buy the drinks in the evening but a few things on the menu were pork chops scampi fish bites turkey and chips and salad were on every day for dessert there was cheese cake ice-cream and jelly and much more
The only downfall really about this hotel was there was no air conditioning
But overall this hotel is brilliant I would definitely come back.

well i booked this holiday online and all seperatly, i did read the reviews before i went so was a little 50/50 but thought id take the chance anyway as it was so cheap.
we arrived at about quater past 4 in the morning at the hotel, we were greeted by a spanish night porter who was loverly. couldnt speak a word of english but pointed us in the right direction.
we found our room easily and there was a lift so we didnt have to carry any heavy luggage. the room we walked into was spotless. and a welcome leaflet on the side explaining about breakfast phones taxis departures the lot.
we climbed into bed and got up for breakfast a few hours later we were delighted the food was amazing there was something for everyone from the full english, cereals, fruit, toast there was lots of condiments too including butter margarine jam etc, drinks were available tea, coffee, cappacino, milk, juices of all kinds. we were impressed and you could eat as much as you liked.
our first day we explored es cana which in all honesty didnt take that long as its quite small and much to my delight pretty flat. the hotel is in a perfect position just off the main street so in the nights there wasnt to much noise. it is literally a 5 min walk to the beach and the town where there are plenty of shops most are tacky souveneir places but great for moochin around.
the beach and view was fab loverly blue water although was very busy in the day and a bit pricey for a family if you want sun beds and umberellas. they do water sports from the beach banana boats paragliding etc prices start from around 12 euro per person up to 40 euro. the only dissapointment was the sea weed at the beach as we are not avid fans and there is a quite a lot.
although the pools at the hotel are fab, spotlessly clean and you do have a choice of 3 but one is a baby pool so ideal for toddlers. there were plenty of sun beds.
entertainment at the hotel was pretty good and excellent for the kids during the day as they played games and often tried to get us to join in even though we didnt have any children. the nights there was something on every night the best was the parrot show very entertaining, we didnt really see much after that as we went out as no children.
i do recommend the bar next door called los pinos prices were the cheapest on the island i was drinking vodka and coke my partner pints came to 3.50 euro the staff were fab and very entertaining and friendly.
evening meals at the hotel were good as well they do provide childrens meals which you have to ask for instead of the buffet style for adults which they did fish fingers and chicken nugget meals. the adults menu buffet was varied although served a lot of fish so if your not an avid fan of fish you may need to stock up on the loverly fresh salad and chips. salad, chips, soup and rolls were provided every day. some of things available which were on the menu i have listed. king prawns in batter, calamari in batter, pork chops, sword fish, vegetables, turkey in gravy, tuna steaks, mushrooms, hamburgers and onions, kebabs, salami, cold meats and cheese. the puddings were awesome trifle, tirimisu, mousse, ice cream, jelly, fresh fruit yougurt. the only down fall was no drinks provided at the evening meal.
the rooms were cleaned daily except a tuesday when the maids have a day off but you do still get clean towells. the towells are whiter than white and smell nice which was a bonus. the staff were lovely and friendly great with the kids especially the entetainers as they jumped in the pool and let them soak them with water pistols etc. there is no air conditioning in the rooms although you can hire a fan for 2.50 euro a day. you can also hire kettles and irons. there is a washing facility available but we did not use. there is air con in the dining area so you can eat a meal with out a sweat on. although as it was july as you can imagine the heat was over whealming.
as an overall of this hotel we have given it a 10 value for money and we have already decided that we would go back in the future.

My first impression of the hotel when we arrived was quite poor. It didn’t look as nice as the brochure and was quite basic. The lack of air conditioning was the main problem, but it was also annoying that there was no TV or fridge in the room. We hired a fan, but it wasn’t very effective. I also found the staff quite unfriendly – in fact most of them were actually quite miserable and therefore unapproachable.
I found the food acceptable, although there wasn’t much choice at breakfast, but I found the choice for the evening meal satisfactory. On the plus side, the hotel was very clean and the room was serviced daily. The pool area was nice. As there were two pools, and plenty of sun loungers, relaxing by the pool wasn’t a problem. I thought the evening entertainment could have been better – some days there wasn’t anything and then at other times there would be a half-hearted attempt at some amusement. The nearby Panorama hotel seemed to have better things on in the evenings, and they don’t mind non-residents being there.
The resort of Es Cana was fantastic, it was lively enough for those that wanted it and also plenty of places to go if you prefer a quiet night. There were lots of bars, restaurants, convenience shops and souvenir shops. The beach was only a 5 minute walk away, but it did get quite busy. It was easy to get around, Santa Eulalia is just 10 minutes away by bus and there’s also a boat that goes to Ibiza town, which is well worth a visit.
I would definitely love to go back to Ibiza and would stay in Es Cana again as it’s a lovely resort, however I would choose a different hotel next time round as that was the only thing that spoiled the holiday for me.

Very nice hotel, towels changed every day. Food was not very good, could make do with the breakfast, but the evening meal was quite poor.
Really good pool area lots of sun beds and you could get a decent snack which was reasonably priced.
Overall we had a very nice holiday and the hotel was quite acceptable, plenty of bars and restaurants.

The hotel was spotless and not crowded food was excellent and plenty of it, it was a family run hotel and the staff were great. Two swimming pools and no problem getting a sun bed, bar by poolside. Kids club and lots of other activities.
Two mins walk to beach, which was quiet and unspoiled, ferry to Formentera & Santa Eulalia. Good shops and restaurants, it was the most prettiest place I’ve ever stayed at. Good tour of island and evening entertainment. I would go back again, and hopefully the bedrooms will soon have air conditioning, but it wasn’t really a problem we hired a fan for the week.
So I would say top marks 10 out of 10.

When we arrived at the hotel we were disappointed. We thought we booked 3* allocated on arrival to find it was only 2*. We complained only to be told by Thomson we booked their rating of 3t, it was not made clear!
The room did not have air conditioning, we hired a fan which was not much help. The room was very spacious though. It was very clean, towels changed every day. The staff were good. There were always plenty of sun beds available as there are 2 good pools.
The food was not that good. Hake in bread crumbs was more like fish cake. We also had to lay our own tables! Entertainment was good. Hotel was in a good area. If you go don t forget to take a hair dryer and a bar of soap!
