Very plesantry surprised aftr reading some bad reviews, we found the excellant accomadation spotlessley clean . Very good position for beach ,shops bars and loads of places to eat . We as a family use timeshare apartments on a regular basis , but found these apartments every bit as good . Reception were very helpful and apartment was ready as soon as we arrived . Could do with a bit more entertainment but you can find that just a short walk down the road you will find plenty to do . Tour rep TORI was very helpful and we would definitly come back again and recommend it to our friends . WELL DONE AND THANKS FOR A GREAT HOLIDAY TO ALL AT CLUB MIGJORN .

Don't believe the bad reports

May 2009, Matthews Family

We (2 adults and 2 children 12 & 5) have just returned from the Migjorn Apartments. We read some terrible reviews before we went and nearly changed our minds. BUT the apartments have been totally refurbished to a very high standard and the whole complex has been upgraded with new apartments, pools, bar, reception area the lot. The rooms were high spec, and very clean and were cleaned by the friendly staff daily. Everything was brand new in our apartment, we even had to remove the packing from the inside of the fridge. As these were still new, they only opened the beginning of May, we had to ask for some items such as a kettle, but it quickly arrived with no fuss.
The stay was helped by the Thomson rep, Tori, who was friendly, excellent with the children (she played table tennis with our 12 year old), and extremely helpful in terms of good places to eat and which bars to visit and those to miss.
We also found some good restaurants, especially the S’enramada (you will find it left at the bowling alley, off the main street, opposite the Kopi Bar – Calle manuel de Falla is the road name) which was run by a local family with a varied menu and excellent value compared with some of the other more prominent restaurants.
Generally we could not fault the hotel or the town and beach and had a great holiday. We would definitely return.

  • Holiday Date:May 2009
  • Advice: Busy village setting with lots of resturants, a water park, long sandy beach
  • Activities: S’enramada (you will find it left at the bowling alley, off the main street, opposite the Kopi Bar –

Just arrived back from 2 weeks in the...
1 / 10
Aug 2008, Mr K Dytham

Just arrived back from 2 weeks in the Club Migjorn Apts and can only describe this as the worst holiday we have ever had. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE APTS TO ANYONE. THESE APTS AND THIS RESORT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES.
We went as 2 families, one with an 11 year old the other family with an 12 & 14 year old. We had 2 apartments, ours was split over 3 levels the other apt split over 2 levels. Being split level the apts do appear to be very small and 2 sets of tiled steps in our apt made it quite dangerous.
On our 3rd night our friends had things stolen from their apt whilst they were sleeping, the thieves climbed a wall and reached through the bedroom window to steal phones and a camera from the side of their bed. Another family were also burgled the same night, this time the thieves actually walked through their apartment & past their 2 year old & 14 year old whilst they were all asleep. God knows what could have happend had they been woken up by this. Their is no security at all at these apts. The rep told us that this was the first time something like this had happened, but we were told by other holidaymakers that this had happened the previous week also. Our apartment didn't have air conditioning, so had to hire a fan at 3 Euro per day, (coudn't leave windows open after break-ins).
The pool area is nice and the kids enjoyed mixing with the other kids there, although the bar area is quite expensive, especially soft drinks & snacks, 3 Euros(£2.40)for a fruit shoot, the same for a small plate of chips. Also they do not let you consume your own food & drink anywhere around the large pool area, even though it is purchased from the supermarket that belongs to the apartments. The Air Condition Restaurant advertised in the Skytours brochure is closed & being used as a store room.
There is not many family bars in Playa den Bossa except Big Bens, Sports Bar, Murphys Irish Bar and unos, which is basically a supermarket with tables, chairs and pool tables outside. All other bars are aimed at 18-30s playing rave music. Drugs are on offer at most of these bars as well as from the "lucky lucky" men. There are some nice places to eat especially Oasis & Sports Bar and a few good spanish restaurants The beach is dirty and full of broken beer bottles and plastic cups, and if you walk on it first thing in a morning there are still people drinking from the night before. Very disapointed with both the resort & apartments and especially disapointed with Thomson Skytours. DEFINATLEY NOT GOING BACK.

May 2008, Miss T Luttman

have just got back from club migjorn apartments and enjoyed it very much we were on a family holiday with children ages 12 and 7 who spent most of the time in the 2 pools there. the apartments are very clean, a snack bar on site which sells nice food and drinks and not too expensive. the entertainment could have been a bit better but there are loads of other places to go in the evening. there is a bar called big ben where there have loads of entertainment which we really enjoyed. i would highly recommend staying at these apartments.

Excellent accommodation, myself and...

Dec 2007, Mr K Duckering

Excellent accommodation, myself and my family have been going for the past 10 years, don't listen to all the stuck up people saying about too much noise and dangerous balcony's its aload of rubbish.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, they always remember us every time we arrive there and welcome us with free BBQ and drinks. The hotels are clean and tidy and are cleaned every two days, with new towels at request from reception.
The cook Paco in the bar is a good laugh and so are the rest of the bar staff, as I say we have been going for the past 10 years and nothing has ever happened to my 5 children, who are all ages ranging from 5 to 20, nothing is to much trouble there if you ask. I would definitely recommend this holiday to everyone.

Where to start, here goes. Arrived at...
1 / 10
Nov 2007, Mrs L Allison

Where to start, here goes. Arrived at 11 am all 6 of us excited myself husband and 4 kids 9/8/7/2. We was escorted to an apartment on the 1st floor which we asked for a ground floor when booking 10 months previously.
The room was dirty, beds unclean and the balcony was dangerous, gaps too big and a canopy over an Italian restaurant was directly on the balcony, making it more dangerous to my kids, of which there was 2 different doors leading out to it. I went to reception to complain about the balcony, beds and the fact that we should have been on a ground floor apartment. We was then moved to the room next door because the beds were cleaner but the balcony still the same. My 7 year old son could get through the balcony gaps never mind my 2 year old.
Thomson reps were not available till 6.30. I went back to reception to say I was still unhappy with the balcony with 4 kids and 2 doors leading to it, no way could I keep them away from it. The Spanish receptionist called me fussy, nit picking and not ever going to be happy with anything which is untrue. She threatened to call the police on me for complaining. My kids safety comes first. I then returned to my husband, the weather outside was thunder storms and lightening, so we had to wait in that apartment for 7hrs till the rep turned up to see us.
As the day went on I knew I could smell gas but my husband could not due to a stuffy nose. I dared not complain in case I was wrong and the receptionist had already threatened me with the police. I was sure she would this time. So we all sat there breathing it in till 6.30. The rep arrived and smelt the gas immediately very strong too. She said we would not be in that room that night. She returned to us to say there was nowhere else but a 1 bed apartment in which we would all have to sleep in but that was a health and safety problem so she said I'll get the gas sorted and open the windows but you will have to sleep in there tonight but tomorrow she promised us to move hotel. None of us got any sleep despite been up since 2 the morning before. Couldn't help but think what could have happened if me or husband had smoked. The next day the rep came again to say the move would cost us £3000 pounds, which we clearly wasn't going to pay. She found us a 1 bed apartment later that night and said she would put extra beds in for us. It never happened I was told to top and tail my kids which would have meant us getting no sleep again. The rep had gone home so the only thing we could do was go back to that dreaded room again.
The next morning we packed up and went to the reception to ask them to put extra beds into that apartment as we really couldn't stay in that 2 bed apartment again. No rep works there on a Friday and the receptionist had given away the 1 bed apartment. We asked to be sent home as we were all upset. The manager arrived to get us another 1 bed apartment with extra beds which he managed in 2 hours. Two hours sat in the blazing sun with my kids wanting to play in the pool but we could not let them.
We didn't know what was going to happen next. A little happier we moved to that apartment. Night time came and we realized there was no bedding or pillows for the kids and the reception was shut. My little girl slept on the floor the whole time as she had no bed. Although we had paid for her one. No hot water either reception said it was down to the apartment been for 2-4 people not 6 so they did nothing about it. Strip washes every night.
We went to Playa D en Bossa on 3oct-17oct and almost all the shops were shut already for the end of season which we wasn't told on booking. The end of season is 31st October but nothing much open. The beach isn't looked after that well. Water park was open for the first 5 days of arriving then shut too. I would not recommend the apartments or the location to anyone with children. I hope this helps you decide on a holiday here. We was not the only people complaining at the time loads were too. I have recently wrote to Thomson to see what happens but I don't intend leaving this matter.

Arrived at 22.30 ish, needed to buy...

Oct 2007, Mrs T M Hall

Arrived at 22.30 ish, needed to buy some water to make tea ect hotel only had little bottles shop was closed.
I found the apartment very dismal, depressing, you go in the kitchen, then down four steps to a basement like lounge, no comfort in the chairs at all then upstairs to the bedroom which I found the best feature which was brighter and had a bigger window but the other windows were small. I found I hated coming back into the place it was so dark, it reminded me of a prison cell.
The staff were very nice and helpful I couldn’t fault them. I came back yesterday Oct 24 2007 so thought I would write this whilst fresh in my mind. Even though it was coming to the end of the season it was very noisy at night everything starts after 10.30 at night which I find strange, so after being out in the day we found ourselves hanging around waiting for the time to come around for the karaoke or anything else to start which made it a very long day.
We overlooked the pool which was nice but it was also the hub of activity all the kids playing screaming till gone 1.pm the beach was nice but a tad on the unkempt side lack of regular maintenance I would say. The little entertainment that was on was mainly geared up for the kids, e.g. kids disco, games ect nothing much for adults except quizzes.

What a holiday!! Me and 4 mates...
10 / 10
Oct 2007, Mr A Howe

What a holiday!! Me and 4 mates enjoyed the best holiday ever! Make sure that you check out Murphy’s Irish pub in the main high street, also bora bora is worth a look. (Not for children).
The water park is wicked and everybody is friendly and will make you feel welcome. Camlio in the hotel bar is the biggest legend going serving up some good cocktails.
For the young adults there are plenty of clubs around and a disco bus going to the ones more far away this is a free service!!! Playen den bossa I think is on the best side of the island and is allot nicer than other popular places.
All and all a brilliant week spent in a brilliant country.

Worst holiday ever it was too busy...

Oct 2007, Mrs C Warwick

Worst holiday ever it was too busy and definitely too noisy, even the apartments!
I hope no one with a toddler ever gets put into room 104 like us which has a bedroom window which overlooks the bar and entertainments area, especially when there was another block of apts. across the other side of the complex.
The only thing about this resort which I enjoyed was watching the aeroplanes, they were even quieter than the people who went about all night. Bar staff very friendly but entertainment crap and noisy - definitely a no go with young kids.
Good points - only one - being home again.
