Im a 13 year old girl that has been on a 2 week family holiday with my mam,2 sisters, brother and nanny.i would not recommened this holiday for any children at all.i was very disapointed as i was told there would be things on for my age but there wasnt.for the first week there was no entertanier and the second week there was "dave the rave" which i woudn class as an entertainer.my brother,10,was very exited about all the things they had planned like riffle shooting, darts but everytime he went down at 11 each morning and he went down and dave the rave said "no theres not enough people".it doesnt matter if there was 1 or 100 people there he should of still did it.another thing about dave the rave is that at half 11 in the morning when the activity was meant to be on he went top the bar to have a pint of beer until 4pm when there was meant to be the next activity on.another thing is theres no lifts.i have a 2 yr old sister which we had 2 carry her buggie up more than 6 flights of stairs.we arrived at 6am saturday morning and had 2 carry 6 heavy suitcases up the 6 flights of stairs, the baby, the buggy and the rest of the luggage without any sleep frm the thursday before.we arrived at the appartment and the tiloet was broke my mam had to put her hand down the sistrain to flush it,there was doors of presses falling off,and my baby sister ,2,was falling asleep on the pull out bed in the lounge of the appartment and there was a spring out and she ripped her leg all the way down.i would not reccomend these appartments if you are bringing teenagers on holiday.i would not reccomened these appartments at all.

The rooms are a good size but ours...

Aug 2007, Miss S Bushnell

The rooms are a good size but ours didn't really get cleaned much. Our beds were changed once in a week, but the floor never seemed to get swept. There is a broom so you can do it yourself.
There is no lift so if u are on the top floor like us it’s a long walk!! And u also have to walk through the hotel it is joined with - the Balanzat, so isn't ideal for ppl who can’t walk far. The location is really nice, the beach is on the doorstep n is a really nice small cove...but isn't ideal if u like lots of choice of restaurants/bars.
There is an English bar up the rd about 5/10 min walk with a really friendly family running it n does yummy food... there is also a pizza restaurant n little beach cafe the food is great but only 4/5restaurants nearby.
The pool is a nice size; n u can also use all the facilities in the other hotel. If you are going with children it’s a really good hotel to stay in, they are always running things like darts, pool games 2 keep the children entertained.
Most of the staff are friendly -esp. des lol. Some of them you need to tell things 3 times to be heard though... when we arrived our toilet was broken n had to tell them 3 times before it was fixed.
If you are looking to go to San Antonio for the night or day its expensive... a cab cost 40euros each way, but there is a bus service that stop outside the hotel once or twice a day that goes there. But overall it’s a really nice relaxing holiday... would recommend it n defo go back!!

I stopped in Torremar Apartments last...
7 / 10
Jul 2007, Miss V Wareham

I stopped in Torremar Apartments last week, me and my family had 2 Apartments between the 4 of us.
The rooms are very basic but adequate and fairly clean. Cooking facilities were a grill a 2 ring hob and a kettle with basic utensils.
Air conditioning consists of a rotating fan in the bedrooms which considering the heat probably wasn't the strongest to make much difference. We found that leaving the patio windows in the bedrooms wide open helped, until the 2 cockerels across the road wake you at 7.30am, a good thing if you want an early start!?
Maids came and cleaned the room with fresh towels and sheets twice in the week.
The pool area is nice with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas for shade. Being the school holidays and lots of children about we found it quite amusing watching Jordan and Suzanna, the kids reps, playing water bingo amongst other games with the kids.
Entertainment for the grown ups wasn't the best to be honest not just at the apartments but throughout the whole of the resort, it's VERY quiet. We ended up playing cards in the apartment most nights and drinking strawberry and lemon slush puppies laced with vodka from the bar!
You really need a car to get about the resort itself as it hasn't got a lot to offer once you've been to the caves and the beach. The bus and taxi service is terrible, you really are trapped if you don't have a car or go on any Reps excursions, unless you want a quiet holiday of course?
The food around the resort wasn't the best. In fact it's pretty poor, even though we stayed self catering we do like to sample the local restaurants howeverl we were very disappointed. Saying that though, if you like sardines for 9 Euros per person, on a Friday night you can go to a locals all you can eat, caught freshly that day, sardine meal right on the beach. Great if you want to sample a locals night.
Other than all that, Ibiza is a beautiful island, make sure you go on the Sunset Cruise around San Antonio and take a visit to Formentera if you love Caribbean style beaches...I'll definitely be going back when i can, even if it's not to stay at Puerto San Miguel.

My dad and I had a fantastic time, me...

Jul 2007, Miss S Guess

My dad and I had a fantastic time, me especially. Suzanne, the temporary entertainer made my holiday, she was absolutely fantastic. The other entertainer, Jordan was also very good.
As far as the room was concerned, it lacked in cleanliness and through the week, our bed linen was changed once and the towels replaced with clean ones twice, the second time being our last day.
However with the entertainment we didn't spend a lot of time in our room.
Entertainment included; children's games such as "killer pool", football on the beach and games in the pool. In the evening the entertainment included; karaoke quizzes and even a production of grease performed by Suzanne, Jordan and willing hotel guests.
The surrounding area is very quiet with 2 or 3 restaurants and around the same number of shops, all of which provide everything a holiday maker would need.
Overall the holiday was fantastic. The only criticism would be the cleanliness.

Literally just back from these...

Jul 2007, Ms K Connell

Literally just back from these apartments. When we arrived I nearly cried, as the resort is not what you could call busy by any stretch of the imagination.
After a good look around we decided that we would give it a try as we were only there for a week. We were travelling with our 16 year old daughter and fortunately she was not too bothered about the lack of things to do, the pool area was clean and there were always loungers to be had.
There is still no cash machine so be warned to take plenty of cash with you. If you smoke take cigs with you, as you will find it very difficult to get them in the resort - you can buy them in a couple of places but it is by the carton.
The apartments were clean and quite spacious - been in worse (try Bulgaria) but I wouldn't hurry back to this resort as it is all stairs and hills and there is very little to do.
We did go over to the next bay on the Sunday night for the hippy party but be warned our taxi driver was rude, even aggressive and refused to arrange to pick us back up.
Thankfully as we walked along the road we spotted other tourists getting into a cab and the driver radioed through for us - our driver back was really nice.
If you are looking for lively and happening and you have booked this resort change your booking! All, apart from two, bars close at midnight and all of the restaurants (apart from the Balansat which is fish) sell the exact same menu, the only variation in the amount of herbs or spices that they use - really boring after a few days let alone a week.
Great for a chill holiday with a young family or just a chill holiday if you like lying around doing nothing - if you are a holiday doer doesn’t go here.

Jun 2007, Miss B Dukes

I thought our stay at Torremar I & II Apartments was fantastic. Staff were really friendly and had a great atmosphere in and around the apartments.
Only thing we had a problem with was having to ask 3 times about getting our cold water tap fixed, but apart from that it was a brilliant holiday and want to go again.
The weather was really nice, the apartments were really clean and had decent entertainment for both kids and adults.

Wow, what a brill holiday, the rooms...

Oct 2006, Miss K Pearce

Wow, what a brill holiday, the rooms were clean. The staff were friendly. The pool was great and we was always able to get sun beds which is surprising considering there was 15 of us. The apartments themselves were great, basic but nice.
The only faults I have were the entertainment and the area itself. The entertainment was great for the kids but a bit Butlins style when it come down to the adults stuff. The area was nice and beach was so close so that was lovely but we found it to be very quiet and the transport into the busy areas was limited as the buses didn’t run often. Apart from that we all had a lovely holiday, and enjoyed it loads!
I wouldn’t go back but that’s only because I’m 18 and I’m after a bit of the club action but if you are after a relaxing holiday then San Miguel is the place to go and I recommends these apartments! Fab, fab, fab!

We had a lovely time at the Torremar...

Sep 2006, Ms E Spike

We had a lovely time at the Torremar apartments. Our room was clean and had everything we needed e.g. kettle, toaster, pots, pans etc. The cleaners came in regularly so we didn't have any issues with the room not being clean or well supplied with towels and bedding. The rooms aren't air conditioned but we found the ceiling fan in the bedroom more than compensated for this although I can imagine it getting quite stifling in peak periods. The apartments are positioned pretty much on the beach so the location was excellent!
The only thing that we did find a bit annoying was the noise of the Thomson reps at the all inclusive hotels across the road and some nights it did seem like 'battle of the reps' as our rep struggled to be heard over them!
The resort of San Miguel itself is VERY quiet with only a couple of restaurants to choose from, it was lovely to relax for a couple of days but after this we both got bored and hired a car to see the rest of the island and used the apartment as a 'base-camp'! I'd recommend seeing as much of the island as possible to anyone going as there are some truly beautiful places.

Sep 2006, Miss JC Henry

My three sisters and I (two adults, 2 children) stayed in the Torremar Apartments for 1 week during August this year. The apartments were adequate and very clean with regular towel changes etc.
The hotel itself, bar and pool area were also very clean and well maintained. We stayed on a half board basis which included breakfast and evening meal. The evening meal was a set menu which changed daily and there were around four choices of starter, main course and desert. Even though the menu was set, the restaurant staff were more than happy to accommodate our requests for a change of main course, when the set menu didn't suit.
The hotel was right on the beach and the children had great fun feeding and catching small fish. The resort is very small and quiet, it does have a few shops, a nightclub and a lovely bar called 'Angela' which is child friendly and definitely worth a visit. On the whole we had a very enjoyable stay, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful (especially the bar staff) and the daytime activities, swimming pool games and evening entertainment kept both adults and children highly entertained.
The only problem I encountered was that there was not a bank or cash machine in the resort itself, a twenty minute taxi or bus ride was necessary to the neighbouring resort and the hotel itself did not have credit card facilities - although the surrounding shops did. Overall, everything considered my sisters and I give it a thumbs up!

We have just returned from the best...

Aug 2006, Miss Karen Cottell

We have just returned from the best holiday we have ever had, the accommodation was brilliant we had a 5 bedroom apartment and there was also loads of extra's including a toaster, electric kettle and a can opener.
There was a sitting area which was very spacious with a TV with MTV and a Spanish news station very handy for looking at the local weather, there was too a dinning area with a table and six chairs and a very large balcony with a table and chairs too. There was too bedrooms and a fold up bed under the sofa and a person could sleep on the sofa too, the bedrooms were huge one with a double bed and one with too single beds. In each of the bedrooms there were two large wardrobes and another Balcony/terrace in the two of them.
The location was fantastic with the beach a 30 second walk away and around 5 supermarket and souvenir shops with fairly low prices. There are also a small selection of restaurants, which are lovely and there is a lovely buffet restaurant in the big hotel up the hill which anyone can use. It is starter's main course and desert and you can have as much food and drink as you want. First you have to go to the reception with is on the 7th floor and there is a lift or a stairs and the restaurant is on the same floor. Once you get to the reception you just ask for what you want and then help you self when you get to the restaurant.
There is also great entertainment in the accommodation in the morning and in the evening, and there is bingo every night at 9:30 which is a great laugh and the last night my mum won 50 euro. The entertainers were brilliant Richard and Jordan were their names and they made our holiday.

Aug 2006, Mrs T Charles

We have just returned from the Torremar, and I must say that we have had one of the best holidays ever. The rooms were basic, but clean and spacious, the kids had a fabulous time in the pool, and our 7 year old loved the park which is right next to the entertainment, so we were there drinking our beer and our kids were in the park, not bothering us!
The entertainment team, Jordan and Richard were first class and were very funny, they even managed to persuade my husband to take part in grease as one of the t birds! Overall it was a nice, relaxed, family orientated holiday and we would definitely go back, although I think the one thing missing is a first aider, although luckily our neighbour Alison had just passed a first aid course and reassured me that I was being a big baby about my cut finger! Thank you Alison!

My family and I have just returned...

Aug 2006, Mrs K Humphries

My family and I have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Torremar apartments. I’ll get the down sides out the way first. No air con in apartments meant you were hot hot and hot at night there was a lack of sun beds around pool which meant my husband had to set his alarm in the mornings extra early to get some for us.
There was a lack of jugs for beer in the evenings which my husband and friend definitely needed as they helped the entertainment team out on quite a few occasions which I must say was hilarious!!.
The apartments are clean and we regularly had clean towels. The resort itself is small but enough for us and our 7 and 4 year old. We would like to say a big thank you to Jordan and Richard for entertaining us they were great. Our two girls loved mini-disco and are still singing music man and star trekking now.
I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a quiet chilled holiday its also great for kids. So all in all we had a great time and would return, we met some lovely people who we are definitely going to keep in touch with you know who you are guys!!!
