St George Lycabettus Boutique Hotel

Nice neighborhood, great views with a small deck, great pool, breakfast buffet was very good ($25), but the hotel was not 5 star by any standard. The walk up to the hotel was really nothing. We stayed 3 nights on the third floor overlooking the Acropolis and park below @ $300/night. A small room in general including the closet, so small the room corridor door cannot fully open into your room because the entry area is to narrow. Stayed in August 2002 and August 2003. Hotel very nice, upscale area, first time we had the inside view of the walls. Breakfast was very good but expensive. Second stay had two connecting rooms with balcony facing Acropolis. The staff was extremely helpful but we are Greek so that may have had something to do with it. Overall this is a very nice hotel but too expensive for what you get. My family and I will not be staying there again this summer as it is too far from the main shopping area on Ermou.
