la casetta the building is ok. but fellow guests acted like ****** up nutters.it felt like a cross between a zoo and a prison. the staff are useless and rude the deposit 150 euros is steep but seeing the state of the clientelle you may understand them and they wanted 5 euros a day to park a hire car in the grounds!I have just got back last night so if my spelling is bad excuse me. Im dog tired and need another holiday to get over it .

stayed here for a week last july. The room was great very big living area, clean, huge balcony with a great veiw of the park an sea. nice quiet location, no noise of a night but not too far from the resturants and bars. 10 min stroll to the beach, 20min walk to the main square or 1 euro on the bus. There is a great big supermarket next door and a tourist shop at the end of the road where you can book your day trips. the water park is fantastic, the theme park is good and you can go for free the day after it you keep your ticket. The pool is tiny but was always empty.
You have to turn your key four times for the door to lock properly, and pay 150 euros room deposit, make sure you ask for this back the day before you leave if you've got an early flight, as the people on the desk arnt always around. would recomend this hotel for young groups/couples or families with older children who are looking for a cheap hotel.

Stayed at the La Caseta for a week from 5th February 2011
We (two of us) had apartment 12A on the 12th floor (there are 13 floors in all) The view from the apartment was fantastic. There are 3 apartments on each floor and we had the one that overlooked the park and out to sea. The bacony was very big. There was central heating/air conditioning. There was a fridge, two ring cooker, kettle, toaster,TV etc.The beds were confortable and the bathroom was clean. It is in a very nice location, near enough for the Old Town and also close enough for the Levante side. There are no noisy bars within earshot. I definately would go back there again, well in actual fact we are going back there in April, so yes I would certainly recommend these apartments.

Just came back from benidorm stayed at these apartments, location good for old and new benidorm and close to beach about 10 minutes but on arrival housekeeper as she calls herself could turn milk sour!! 150euros deposit which i thought was a bit steep, as there is nothing in the apartment you could damage that was worth that much!Tv was 50cents to watch and on a timer (all spanish stations anyway)no radio felt we were in a prison cell when in the apartment.Rooms were clean but extremely basic, balconies large but not south facing.Dirty little cafe downstairs run by a spanish family that are so unfriendly its unbelievable, reception hardly ever manned therefore no help around if needed, would not recommend these apartments at all.Have always stayed in self catering accommodation and know you pay for what you get but these apartments were something else.Would return to benidorm great place something for everyone, but definitely not to these apartments

I have just returned from my hols in benidorm and had a fantastic time. I had booked through teletext and got the hol quite cheap. I had read some rather dodgy reviews of La Caseta - I was very pleased with it. Extremely clean and very spacious - full kitchen utensils - seperate bedroom etc etc. Amazing really. Excellent location and nice pool and brilliant supermarket next door.

I have just returned from a weeks stay in the La Caseta Apartments with 6 friends. I found Benidorm very lively and the nightlife was brilliant, however little can be said for the apartments. We arrived at 11.30pm at night and were dumped outside the apartments; our rep did not show us into the reception area. We waited at the reception for 15 minutes to discover there was noone there. We went to the bar next door which was just closing up to say we had arrived and were waiting for our keys. We were told to go to the hotel at the top of the road to collect our keys, which we did. When we found our apartments we were horrified at the vulgar smell which filled the entire floor. It smelt like someone had let off a stink bomb and it was completely inhabitible. The apartments were small, very basic and clammy as there is no air conditioning. We spent our first night on the telephone complaining to Thomas Cook who refused to do anything about the situation until the next day. Eventually after 2 long phone calls a rep came and viewed the apartment with the terrible smell and agreed it was not acceptable. As it turned out there was a drainage problem as there was a blockage in the u-bend. We spent the whole week unable to use our sink as it was filled with dirty water and our fridge also broke and leaked water all over the floor. We had to keep our food in our friend's apartment. You only get clean towels and sheets once a week unless you pay to get clean ones. We did find the gentleman from the apartment quite friendly and the bar next door is a decent size and serves good food. The apartments are adequate for a group of young singles who are out drinking a lot and not fussy but I would not recommend it to someone looking for a nice place to live. Don't let this put you off Benidorm though, it is a great resort!

We agree with some comments made regarding initial reception, but La Caseta is, after all, self catering and not an hotel. Once we made ourselves known to the elderly gentleman at reception, he was charming and helpful.
The apartment itself was clean, the sheets were clean but the bedspreads should be replaced. Linen should be changed more often and spare toilet rolls should be provided - we only had one during the first week and bought our own with our groceries.
We could only get CNN on the TV so attempted to follow the Spanish programmes.
La Caseta was not at all bad for a budget holiday. There was some noise - mostly the sound of the doors being locked, but we did go in May when it was out of season. The swimming pool looked spotless.
The young family at the restaurant were exremely polite and helpful and the meals were superior to those we experienced at others. In fact, once we had been friendly towards them, we found them friendly in return. We honestly could not fault their service and would very much like them to be complimented.
The holiday reps were exremely helpful and we enjoyed the trips and entertainment offered. We are not drinkers so we cannot comment on bars. Don't mention the tourist train - don't go on that if you have a bad back! Our driver was off schedule and went round like a bat out of h......
We would go back to Benidorm and La Caseta next May.

Just got back from Benidorm with mixed feelings. The appartment was ok, in a good place as it was only 5 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to the night life. I was very surprised to discover on arrival that you have to pay 100 euros as a deposit and going on a stag holiday for a week, this was a considerable amount of money. The people who own the hotel are not very friendly so i wouldnt bother asking them for anything. However you have got a good supermarket next door and an average restaurant on the other side.
I would not go back to Benidorm for a number of reasons but mainly it is the locals. We encountered some trouble whilst we were there and this ruined our holiday. The police were no use at all and treated us like the accused. The hospital was again no use at all and if it wasnt for one trainee doctor speaking english i think we would probably still be there now.
The many bars in Benidorm are good and were a laugh most of the time. I would recommend the Irish bar on the beach and Picaddily's not far from there.

This was the worst holiday ever. This was a last minute booking and went with open minds. we arrived at 9pm and had to take a small bus because the coach couldnt fit down the road wen we arrived the spanish driver just pointed and the dingy hotel and grunted so we took our suitcases we were given our keys in an envelope. our rooms was dirty and the cups were filthy. the tv onlycame on if u put 50 cent in it for an hour one day out of our two week stay we were showering with cold water and a man walked straight in our apartment with a key and took the money out of the tv we were shocked. the pool was tiny and dirty and the bar downstairs was exspensive. above our 5th floor room were spanish people at night they partied till 5 in the morning they were shouting and banging we asked for them to be quite but shouted what we thought in spanish abuse it go worse so we phoned the police but they said they werent responisble. One night we watched them walk out and about 20 people came out from that apartment we were shocked we also woke up to sick all over our balconey ledge and toilet paper thrown all round the pool. the only good side was the great weather and the golden sand beach and you must visit "jimmeys" this is a scotish bar wich serves amazing british food and staff very friendly. all in all not a good holiday would only recommend for the 18-22 year olds who just want to party!!!! not for familys would never return.

Room itself was clean and quite spacious. Within reasonable reach of the beach but not suitable for less able people. Long walk to and from the transfer dropoff point. 150 euro deposit is very high and another 10 euros for the safe. Staff generally helpful except for one large spanish gentleman who was abrupt and not very helpful at all. Another couple who were guests found the same gentleman unhelpful.
