Very clean apartment. Reception closed at 4.30 in the afternoon. If you wanted anyone after that time you had to go into the hotel reception next door. Staff were very nice. No kettle in the kitchen and it took a while to make toast in the combination microwave oven. The tv only had Spanish programs on it. The view was great in the day and at night you could see all the ships on the sea. The beach was a 2 minute walk. The only problem with Santa Susanna was there was no local culture. Apart from that it was a great holiday.

Last year me and my family went on a two weeks holiday to the thallassa appartment in santa susanna, spain.
I think the apartments we stayed in were excellent, we couldnt have asked for more. The rooms were very clean, but basic, although we had all of the appliances we needed and the cleaner came in every two days with clean towels and toilet roll. The pool area was also superb, and was a four star as there were a number of different pools, a pool bar, and waiters constantly walking around.
Throughout the holiday we always made new friends, as it will be our fourth holiday in four years now, as we are going again this summer. There are a number of brilliant pubs and resteraunts i reccommend, the drunken duck, legionds and the ship. They are all english pubs, and everyone is really friendly, you couldnt ask for nicer people.
Overall all of the holidays have been eccellent, and will probably come for the next 10 years, and still wont find a fault.
All i can say is go and find out for yourself, and you will understand!

I was very pleased with my visit to Santa Susanna, where I found a wonderful pub called the ship. The staff there were very outgoing and friendly especially the barman Fred who was extremely helpful.
I must point out that there were pick pockets on three occasions. On one occasion there were two women selling flowers who asked for a few cents and then they went into my purse and stole a note. Tourists are probably their main target so beware.

First of all these apartments are not called Talassa they are called Thalassa, I say this so people will know it’s the right apartments.
I can honestly say the only thing this apartment block has going for it is Wendy on the desk, she is very helpful.
There was a party of ten of us six adults and four children we booked with Ferris.
When we booked we told the one who took our booking that myself and my sister in law where booking the bus but giving our seats to my daughters and there families has we were flying out. We were told this was not a problem but when they were on their way to Spain on the bus the Ferris staff tried to take our seats that we had paid for off them coz they were seats short. My daughter was told if we are not on the bus they have every right to take our seats that we had paid for off them.
After her protesting they let them keep them. Then when we arrived at the apartment block we were told it was £80. Deposit for the rooms not £50. Has stated in the brochure.
So that was the start of things.
Overall it’s got a lovely pool, the staff are really ignorant, its very noisy, so don’t expect to sleep at night.
The entertainment is the worst I have ever known and then after the first week, all the prices of drinks lollies and food went up.
My one daughter's bathroom door locked, so she went to the reception desk to ask if someone could fix it for her and she was given a piece of wire and told to do it herself.
I can honestly say we could do with a holiday to get over this one.
So if you’re going to these apartments good luck to you.
Oh yes don’t forget your earplugs, you will need them lol.

I can’t believe what I let myself in for when I booked this holiday.
Yes the rooms were quite clean and very very basic but for the week we were there the cleaners never entered, never changed bedding, or towels and never supplied us with toilet roll.
The bath was only big enough for someone smaller than 3' which was ok for the kids but not for us.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to anyone unless you are a dwarf and don’t like to stay in a clean environment.

An excellent location right on the beach. Amazing facilities, supermarket very close. Excursions to suit everyone. A wide variety of water sports. Local train into the mountains. Many types of restaurants and bars covering all cultures.
Food and drinks are of a high standard with the area been well known for producing some of the best champagne. There is also a large city train that runs right past the hotel stopping at many resorts up and down the Costa Brava coastline and into Barcelona. Free local buses to water parks and theme parks in the area. Cleanliness is a high standard and staff are very helpful, polite and professional at all times. Entertainment within the hotel is very varied.
Something for everyone each night of the week and there are many thing through out the daytime also. This is the best holiday my children and I have ever had so much that we been here 4 the past 5yrs. I cannot find any fault at all and is also an excellent location for the disabled as it s very flat. The hotel adjoined also provides full board and offers packages for self catering customers to upgrade even if just for one day.
There are 2 large swimming pools, Jacuzzi and small child’s pool waiter service round the pool and beach bar. Security is very strict ensuring safety to customers at all times and as the hotel is on the beach wrist bands are worn to ensure only patrons of the hotel use facilities provided.

This was the second time a group of 15 went to the Thalassa Apartments. The rooms were clean but basic. Staff were helpful and the pool and location is excellent.
Would thoroughly recommend visiting the Ship pub, good food and friendly staff.
The weather was not bad for September. The beach is very gritty but directly outside the hotel.
Would go back without hesitation.

Thalassa Apartments are clean, and...
5 / 10
Jul 2004, Ms N Walters

Thalassa Apartments are clean, and well situated, close to the beach and the shops. Staff are friendly enough, but not overly helpful. The rooms were very basic, with no air conditioning, but the cleaning of your room was left to yourself, the maids would enter the room only twice weekly, and that was to change the towels and leave clean bedding - changing the beds, again, was left up to you.
During our stay we ran out of toilet roll, so went to the reception of the neighbouring Tahiti Palya Hotel (as after 4pm there was no-one on the reception of the Thalassa Apartments) to be told that we had to buy our own - I’ve never known this ever!!!
Cooking, and refrigeration facilities were ok, but if the people in the room beforehand were not too good at washing up, the pans would still be a bit greasy!
I found there to be very few other British people to be staying in the Thalassa Apartments, and as long as you aren’t fluent in Dutch, you won’t hear too much swearing, but slamming doors is an altogether different story, I think the Dutch tour Operators offer a bit of an 18-30 type holiday at this hotel as well up until 5-6am you will hear loud, drunken youngsters stamping across the corridors and singing to their hearts content, with no courtesy towards the other guests, but if you are a heavy sleeper then this will not pose a problem to you, unless, due to the heat and lack of air conditioning, you have to sleep with your balcony door slightly open!
I have visited the Thalassa Apartments twice with my partner, and will indeed return to the resort in the Summer of 2006, but this time we will be staying at a different hotel complex.
