I stayed here in June had a fab time....
8 / 10
Aug 2006, Mrs M Wren

I stayed here in June had a fab time. The location and setting is absolutely stunning we spent our days moving from the pool area to the beach to grab some shade. The hotel has a motor boat that you can go on for a very reasonable £20 for a full day trip, lunch afternoon tea and plenty of drinks.
The staff are very friendly. I was a little disappointed by the food but the others in my group really enjoyed it. The hotel was gradually opening all the bars during our stay as it was getting busier as the week went on the Turkish schools had just broken up for the summer.
Take a walk through the hotel next door (very noisy) and along the waterfront and you will come to some lovely bars and restaurants we ate on the beach at Olivias we had a lovely 4 course meal and wine for about £15 each.
Take the dolmus to Bodrum about 15 mins away this is such a wonderful vibrant place a complete contrast to Torba. A wonderful relaxing holiday.

Four of us booked to stay in this...

Jun 2006, Miss CM Ryder

Four of us booked to stay in this hotel as a late booking 12th June for a week.
Overall it was a 4* hotel concerning hospitality. The cleanliness of the rooms were ok but it stated we had linen change each day, they changed our top cover but our bottom bed sheet was not changed throughout the stay. We also booked a superior room to find we had 2 single beds!
One major disappointment was on our 4th day when we glanced into the kitchen when a waiter came through the door and noticed one of the staff were smoking. As I am a non smoker this completely ruined my opinion of the hotel.
The bar staff and animation team were great, very friendly. It says in the brochure the hotel has 5 bars, pool bar, lobby bar, disco bar, roof bar, and snack bar. Only 2 of the 5 were open during our stay.
The disco bar has a big screen and was the ideal place to watch the England game, there were a least 40 of us in this room and the staff refused to open the bar so we all had to keep going upstairs to the pool bar to get our drinks. In the brochure it states the disco bar opens on demand - I think at least 40 people is enough of a demand! Considering the hotel was only half full as we were told by reception staff so it’s not as if they were rushed off their feet at the other bar!

Myself, partner and 6yr old son...
10 / 10
Jun 2006, marhys

Myself, partner and 6yr old son visited Izer Beach in June 2005. We were a bit apprehensive going 'All inclusive', but what a surprise we got. Apart from our flight with Thomas Cook Airlines, everything was perfect.
The room was basic, but very clean. We had a small fridge and a safe deposit box. The bathroom was also very clean, I am a bit of a fusspot when it comes to bathrooms too! We stayed in a superior room which is actually in the older part of the complex.
A few steps from our room was the 'quiet' pool and beach. There were plenty of sun loungers and shades. There was also a bar, buffet restaurant and Turkish restaurant. The other pool was more lively with water slides and activities/music etc. Around that pool there was an Italian restaurant and bar.
The hotel and its grounds were very well kept and also very clean. The hotel staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. They were always smiling too!
The food was excellent! Not one dish repeated during our stay. Everything was well presented, hot dishes were hot and the selection of both hot and cold was great. Everything from braised lamb to potato salad! Not a 'beef burger' or 'pie and mash' in site.
There were a couple of shops and during our stay a small market was held twice.
The First Choice rep was excellent. It was a shame that First Choice didn't use their own airline though. Thomas Cook Airlines staff were miserable, unhelpful, child 'un-friendly' and rude. The seating was extremely cramped.
We enjoyed our stay so much, we have booked to go back again!

Jun 2005, Mrs T Johns

We was meant to go to club belluerverda in Bodrum but first choice pulled us out of there and put us into Izer Beach, there was myself my mum and my six year old daughter we stay there for two weeks and it was brilliant the food was good there was always something different every night, the staff were very polite and always up for a good laugh and they spoke very good English. The hotel was very clean and tidy. I am glad that we was put there now and now at the other hotel, and I would recommend Izer beach hotel to anyone, the entertainment was good in the evenings.

Great Holiday. Turkey is mostly Hot,...

May 2005, Mr P Stanbridge

Great Holiday.
Turkey is mostly Hot, although we did have a couple of days of cloud and a little rain.
Hotel was good, although let down some days by choice of food. The staff were helpful, spoke excellent English and were good a spotting an empty wine glass.
It has two pool areas - one for the kids which is loud and has a kids club and snack bar etc, and one for the adults (although kids are allowed in it), which is quiet and by the beach.
All inclusive worked very well for us, with plenty of soft drinks/cups of tea during the day, and wine in the evening. The larger was fine, but the Brandy was cheap.
Buying things in Turkey is different. Your barter for most things, and this is Fun at first, but it was nice to get back to Tesco on return! An added complexity is the currency. In 2005, they except new Turkish Lira (1 unit = 40p), old Turkish Lira (1 Million Units = 40p), and price everything Euros and pounds.
The Torba resort is first drop off from the airport (about 45 mins), and there is nothing there really. However, we went to Bodrum by Bus two days, and this was very easy and cheap.
The rep was very good and honest. Felt First Choice was better than Airtours!
We did one trip Ephesus, which took about 2 and hours to get there, and was worth it.
Couple of words of warning about Turkey - firstly the loos. You are not allowed/able to flush loo paper down the loo - there is bin that is emptied daily.
Secondly, you need a £10 note for the Visa to get in.
