Opened May 2001 this was a 3 star hotel, which has been converted into a luxury hostel each room with en-suite facilities. There are two elushis bars on the ground floor where breakfast is served. A residents chill out room with TV, Internet access and suberb views over Edinburgh. There are 160 beds in various sizes with plenty of twin rooms that are ideal for teachers or coach drivers. The hostel is located next to Waverley Station and is one minutes walk from the drop off point for the airport transfer bus that is an excellent service. We took a special offer from a local Lincolnshire paper for a return ticket from Newark Northgate station to Edinburgh return for £15 and we had to book in advance to book seats. The train journey was quick & smooth.
