Airotel Parthenon

Helpfull staff. Very close to Acropolis and restaurants. Definitely not a 4* hotel by any standards I am familiar with. Relatively expensive for the quality of hotel. You must be paying for the position. Hop on hop off bus just round the corner. Handy for tourists. Rooms are very basic. Smallest TV I have ever seen in an hotel. Having just returned from Athens on a week's holiday I cannot say enough nice things about the Parthenon Hotel. The location is prime. The rooms were very clean. The hotel staff was incredible. I would return in a heartbeat. Georgia, at the front desk, was most helpful and kind. Too, I wish I could adequately express my thanks to Frantzesuos. He was particularly helpful and very gracious. The entire staff was extremely accommodating, knowledgeable, and responsive.

I booked The Hotel Parthenon based on the very positive online reviews, and we were not disappointed. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and speak very good English. The rooms, while not luxurious, are clean and of adequate size. (Our room looked exactly like the photo posted by the Nov. 6, 2005 reviewer.) There is internet access available as well. The very good breakfast buffet has an assortment of hot and cold items, set in a very nice dining room. But the location is what makes this a great pick for seeing Athens. If you take... more
