On an island full of sun and surrounded by a sea of beautiful blue water, this sounds like paradise.
It is a wonderful place to go with lots of shops, but all seem to be typically tourist driven which is understandable considering the amount of visitors they get. The ferry journey is...how shall I put it...cultural. It is very busy and far from the organisation we’re used to.
It has some wonderful beaches but most of the nicest are privately owned by hotels. The public beaches are still nice and lovely to have a rest and sunbathe on. Wherever you go inland, even if slightly, it is hilly and a climb up. The Letizia hotel has about a 15 minute walk and is up a small hill. There are quite a few pubs and clubs, which are sometimes EXTREMELY near to your hotel, so make sure you check before you book.
Anyway, it is a wonderful environment with fun and sun (and maybe some walking). I would recommend it to you all as long as you know what you'll expect!
