Walhalla Apartments

Went as a group of 4 lads (aged 19/20) with high hopes of having a holiday of a lifetime! ...didn't work out that way.
Walhalla receptionist and manager were very ignorant and unhelpful. Refused to cash our travellers cheques and blamed ANY noise around the apartments on us with official written warnings. The staff always looked at us suspiciously which really didn't let us enjoy our holiday as much as we should've. It is very family orientated, we never felt welcome here!
On the plus side, the pool area was nice and spacious despite being right next to the road. Bar food was cheap and tasty.
Apart from the problems we had at Walhalla, we spent as much time away from the apartments as possible and had a great time. The apartments are well located for everything, and easy enough to find your way back home to after a night out!

I stayed at the Walhalla Apartments with my sister, brother in law and 4 of our children. We had bottom floor too so was very easy getting a space by the pool of a morning. Apartments were very clean. Not much to cook on as there was only 2 rings but I didn’t go on holiday to cook so it wasn’t a prob. Staff there were excellent and very friendly with children too. Hotel is situated on a road which if you come out of the gates has the yumbo centre 5 mins to the left and the beach 5 mins to the right. Must say the night life isn’t up to much but as we had children and they had us worn out weren’t too much of a problem. The yumbo centre is were all the nightlife is, many many many gay bars sex shops etc so we did find it difficult to sit somewhere with the children. Shopping there wasn’t a problem either too. Shops are quite cheap. On all we had an excellent holiday, weather was beautiful, beach was too but the food and nightlife had a bit more to be desired....

Advertised Self Catering but Very Very basic, cooking utensils consisted of 2 cooking rings, no grill, micro, oven etc.
Toasters and kettles could be hired for 30 euros for the fortnight. Pool must have been dirty as I came home with a terrible ear infection. Pool Bar Was Nice. Location was good, central to most of the nightlife. Overall not a bad holiday.

Friendly atmosphere, ideal location right between the Yumbo Centre and the beach night life. No entertainment but great nightlife at the beach just down the road. Apartments big, clean but basic.
Pool clean and good size. The lift was a fairly rocky ride but did the job. Overall a nice apartment and would return there again.
