just got back from a weeks stay at the colina mar, first time for all inclusive holiday. rooms were clean and cleaned often also you have a small kitchen which is a bonus. there are 2 pools we stayed at the smaller pool which is a lot quieter and more relaxed. all staff were friendly, night entertainment was good and varied, trip to beach by taxi is about 3 to 4 euros there are taxis across the road and down by the shopping complex. beware in the shopping complex of touts and avoid the electrical shops they are a bit of a con

My family & I have just spent 10 days in the Colina Mar which had both good & bad points. The rooms were great very spacious & with a kettle & a fridge which we have never had in any other hotel where we were all inclusive. The pool was quite large which was nice but around the edges where people were walking is no more than a death trap the amount of people who we saw slip & fall was terrible someone is going to have a serious accident if some kind of matting isn't put down soon. Some of the staff were some of the rudest & unfriendliest I've come across in a hotel apart from Jose & Michelle who worked on the night bar & the cleaners were so friendly & polite but everything was just too much trouble for the others. The food wasn't bad but it was very repetitive lunch time & evening. The hotel had a list of rules such has no reserving sunbeds yet by 7 am the sunbeds were full of towels but could stay like that for hours with no sign of anyone actually on them! No one took any notice of any rule & at times I can only describe it as a free for all, people with bottles of vodka around the pool at 8 am rolling around drunk falling in the pool with drinks & all this in front of young children. I think some kind of security is needed. We would go back to Gran Canaria but sorry to say not to the Colina Mar.

We knew the resort from previous holidays, and the location of the Colina Mar. Having booked it online for a quick week away, we then read the customer reviews and panicked, wondering what was ahead of us! What a load of nonsense! We couldn't find fault with any aspect ie. bar staff, cleaners, accomodation etc. We paid for a family of four, self catering for a week- well worth the money paid! The room was cleaned, fresh towels, friendly cleaners. The pool was cleaned every morning, the bar staff were efficient and hardworking, and we didn't experience any of the complaints other reviewers seemed to have left. We would definitely have no doubts rebooking a holiday at the Colina Mar in Puerto Rico!

My family have been coming to this hotel for years, sometimes twice a year. Omg what a changed hotel since going all inclusive. Breakfast ok, the rest was awful.
bar staff except for (i think his name is manguel! the gentleman that has been there for years. It was a joy to see him)the rest were rude and ignorant.waiting staff terrible terrible attitude, couldn't do enough to annoy you. At nite at the bar you had to wait a least 30mins for a drink. Again nite staff were ignorant. This hotel is now moved miles away from the family atmosphere which attracted us for years.
the room was clean and maid services was ok. First time we have experienced police and riot vans at this hotel (4 times !!)
sorry colina mar but we wont be back.

Myself,my husband and my 4yr old daughter was really looking forward to our 2wk holiday at the "COLINA MAR".The food was diguisting from day 1 of our holiday. We all had to eat out nearly 3 times aday because we couldn't eat anything as it was all horrible,we paid for "ALL INCLUSIVE" and we had to use all our £800 spending money on eating out and taxis as the hotel was situated right at the hill top and it would take you 45 minutes to walk down into the town centre.Taxi's cost you 5 euro's each way and 3 euro's 50 to the beach which was full of shingle everywhere. The maid's only changed our bedding twice in 2wks and when we went to the colina mar weather was between 44-52 degree's and we was sweating every night and the bedding started to smell as the maid's didn't change it regularly and we didn't get clean towel's every day niether. The pidgeon's was landing on the food buffet outside and flies kept landing on the food aswell. The bar staff were really nice and they was the only people who would smile at you also "FATIMA" the entertainment lady was fantastic too.Would we recommend this hotel DEFINATELY NOT.

We stayed at the Colina and loved it. The verenda door was dirty but that never put us of. Our room was only just down and along from reception and it was amazingly quite for people ariving. Great entertainment lovely staff. Door lock was a bit stiff but maid helped us. Lovely pool(heated)loads of sun loungers and parosols. Mini market on sight good for buying drinks as bar is expensive. Fresh beding and towels left daily. Great views. Best place to go for breakfast is Flick's. Down to the center only costs 3 euro in a taxi. We enjoyed walking down then gettin a taxi back up. Beware of the touts and pathways! My daughter wore sannys for our down hill walk but the pathways were a little slidy because of the material used for it any other shoe was ok. Once you had walked with your sannys down the hill once they started to grip. PAL trip to the caves is a must

Appartments were clean and comfortable but possibly could have been cleaned more frequently. The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning.
The day and night entertainment was good fun. there was water aerobics, water polo and volleyball in the pool. At night there was a kids disco and different acts every night for the adults, from singers to parrot shows and bingo.
As for the bar itself they had a great happy hour where you could get 2 drinks for 1 all night. However in my opinion the bar staff were unberarably slow and even when the place was quiet you might still have a long wait to get your drinks. Also they ran out of clean glasses several times and have to serve the drinks in paper cups.
To sum up we had a great time there and i would recommend it to anyone. We would have given a higher mark but only for the bar staff.

The pool area and the pool itself was lovely, the rooms were cleaned well nearly every day and it was very relaxing. However, the prices were horrendous and the bar staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Happy hour was advertised but when we came to pay for our drinks they said that our drinks weren't included in the happy hour, which clearly they were as they were written down on the list! A member of my party's ipod went missing, we informed reception and they did nothing about it at all and didn't even get back to us after promising they would! Overall the hotel was nice and clean and comfortable but I think i'd choose somewhere else next time as the unfriendly staff put a bit of a dampener on the holiday! The area was lovely and the restaurants were reasonable, unlike the hotel.

Just back from a week's stay. Had a great holiday apart from the room having cockroaches three nights in a row, and a flooded bathroom. Staff were very friendly and were extremely good at their job which helped make our stay enjoyable. I will never stay at these apartments again they are not very clean and in need of refurbishment felt we paid a lot of money for something that was not up to standard. I would also note that Thomas Cook, need to train their reps to a better standard of customer care.
I would not recommend anyone to stay in room 213....
