Hilton Athens Hotel

The service at your hotel is excellent and especially at cafe Vyzandion with the beautiful environment,the smiling waiters and waitresses always ready to serve the customer.I have always enjoyed my meetings with friends or business appointments which I always arranged to take place at your excellent cafes and restaurants.

We stayed at the Athens Hilton for a company meeting, so we had a great group rate on the rooms, but everything else was expensive. The hotel was well set-up for a meeting of over 180 people. Meeting rooms were great and it was wonderful to have the pool to relax around in between and after meetings. Catered food left something to be desired. The rooms are a decent size for Europe and beautifully decorated-- blond wood, metal and soothing colors-- and a good number face the Acropolis (not mine, however). My stay at the Hilton was better than expected. I was apprehensive pulling up to the hotel because it looks kind of crappy on the outside. But once in the lobby, I felt better. Depite the fact the euro (-) against the dollar, I picked a good place to stay. The rooms were wonderful, especially the bathroom(Loved the shower!). The hotel has a great top floor looking bar with a great view! However, when the bar gets busy, the bartenders get stressed and consequently service is slow. We stayed two nights. One was on the Sunday 3/7 at the 40x room. Since we arrive (13:00) there was a food car in a door of a near room, In another door of a room we saw durty glasses and a water bottle (in the floor). in the Monday morning nothing was changed it looks like a phantom side of the Hotel. My husband and I first started arranging our hotels around our Greek Island cruise 7 months before our June 4-11 trip. We used Trip Advisor comments to carefully select our hotels. We paid in full and non-refundable (to us) for our hotel in Athens back in November of 2004. We arrived at the Hilton just after 5 pm to discover that they were booked and did not have a room for us. Just returned from Greece and stayed at the Hilton for 4 nights. Great service and nice rooms. Beautiful pool too. Just a short walk to the metro...it was a great location. Staff was exceptional. Nice resturant behind the Hilton....not expensive. The roof top bar had a great view but a drink was 16 euro each....pretty pricely for a small cosmo! That is the only fault that we had with the hotel! I really think it was excellent.

After visiting some ofthe Greek Islands during Greek Easter, we needed to spend out last night in Athens due to an early flight back to NY. We picked the Hilton and it was such a great ending to a wonderful family trip. I especially commend the front desk staff who were more then accomodating especially a wonderful young woman named Christina. She really went out of her way to help us and even booked us a car to the airport at a price much lower then what we would have paid if we had made our own arrangements. The spa/gym was simply... more
