Paraja Beach Hotel Reviews
" Excellent hotel "

This is a great hotel right on the sea front with wonderful panoramic coastal views. The hotel is very well kept, has good facilities and lovely grounds. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The all inclusive deal was good value and includes food and drink from 7.30am till 11pm. Branded alcohol was extra, as is usual unless you go "ultra all-inclusive" and pay 4 times more, but what was provided included spirits as well as wine, lager, sangria, soft drinks and some cocktails and we never felt the need for anything more. The food was a good buffet with plenty of choice and of a good standard for the star rating and cost of the holiday. Some sports are also included but no watersports. If you are a beach lover you may have to walk 15 minutes in either direction as the beach in front of the hotel is small and sometimes disappears all together depending on the tide. However, the pools at the hotel are lovely with plenty of sunbeds available. Some of the beaches do have a nudists on them so if you are offended by this then this area is probably not the best place to go. Also, don't get talked into going on the PAL trip unless you really want to buy a mattress... the so called "tour" of the island promised to go with the presentation was very poor, hire a car or pay for a proper tour so you don't waste a day of your holiday (no reflection on the hotel - just a piece of sightseeing advice!) Overall we had a wonderful holiday and hope to return next year.
Advice: A relatively quiet but lovely resort, predominantly German area.

If you're looking for a peaceful, all-inclusive holiday with a good standard of accomodation, you won't go far wrong booking the Paraja Beach Hotel in Fuerteventura.
We stayed for a week in May 2008 and had a lovely relaxing break.
The food is plentiful and of a good standard. The beer and wine are available to just help yourself to. The nearby beaches are some of the best you will find anywhere.
We enjoyed it so much we have just booked another week here for April 2009.
Highly recommended.

Firstly I reaserched the hotel before I booked, checking out all the reveiw websites.
The hotel is emmense, the quality is a 5 star I would say, the rooms are clean and of a very good standard decoration wise, the size of the hotel's foyers are unbelievable.
The staff at the hotel were as helpfull as they could be and spoke good english.
I read that this was a greman dominated hotel, so what you dont bother them they dont bother you, haha. Im scottish and I never seen or heard another fellow scot.
The place is spotless inside and out, the pools are a decent size and the beach is a 5 mins walk away (saying that if you are prudish dont walk to the beach to the right of the hotel as it's mostly nudist.
The food was okay had a good choice but repetitive as most all inclusives are, the drink was fine but all inc stops at 11pm (self help to the beer wines and soft drinks)
If you want to be near shops and pubs then dont book this hotel, you will have to walk 15/20 mins into costa calma (not that big a resort). Jandia is 15 mins bus trip away the shops and pubs here are far better than costa calma. Next time Jandia is were I will be heading, fuerteventura offers great weather as always even in september it must have hit over 30 degrees. so if you want a relaxing quiet holiday at a luxury hotel then book it, I payed just under £1000 for 2 that was everything flights measl transfers for the week all inc. Only one thing that annoyed me was that it states every room has a sea veiw FALSE mine didnt it was a side veiw onto some greenery and a wall.
On the day we were leaving we were due to be picked up at 6pm so we booked a room for a shower, OMG this room was luxury huge balcony with sun beds, huge sitting room, huge double bedroom huge bathroom jacuzi bath seperate walk in tiled shower double sinks his and her bath robes hanging. This room was something else and obviously would cost a bit extra but it's there and im sure there is a few of them so worth looking into if you want to book something extra special.
Hope this has helped, all the best with booking your holiday.

" Just come back from the Pajara Beach... "
Submitted By: Ms M Sutton
Just come back from the Pajara Beach Hotel. We spent a weeks all inclusive there as a family of 5. We had a family suite, one room with 3 single beds, dining table, sofa and chair with doors over looking children's pool, the other room had a massive bed! Bathroom with jacuzzi bath, shower cubicle. The hotel is so so clean and very well maintained. Food was good quality and plentiful. Not much to do and see around the hotel, just the beach and a few shops. Had a day at Oasis Park, excellent day out.
I would recommended this hotel if you want a quiet resort, its good for family's and couples.

" Hotel is very clean and quiet ideal... "

Hotel is very clean and quiet ideal for a family with "Young" children who want to relax.
The Hotel is impressive with great pools that a penguin would feel at home in, it was so cold. I’m 32 and never went in. It is full of Germans who were very pleasant indeed and great with my son.
Food - It's very good but my partner and I have had better at 4 stars all inclusive.
Bar - It's all inclusive that stops at 11.00pm and the better brands have to be paid for, there is only 1 member of bar staff on until 11.00pm then more staff turn up (when you have to pay).
Entertainment - We saw 3 good acts over the 7 days, the resident band was Constalation, but we got sick of them they were on every night - dull. The kid’s entertainment at night is poor. Mini disco for 30 mins and it is the same every night. The kids like it but it's painful for us adults.
New Years Eve. It was a special holiday we went for New Years and it was a massive huge disappointment. DO NOT GO. No fireworks even though they were advertised, No decent act only the resident band AGAIN who had a break at 11.50pm and the host of the mini disco took over and was not prepared.
The meal before as well was packed and all inclusive residents were pushed to the back of the dining hall to make way for guests coming for one night. The all inclusive wine became waiter served, which means you got one drink every 30 mins unless you buy some. NYE was a real real let down.
The Resort. Nothing to do unless you like walking or kite surfing or want to hire a car to go afar. The only thing that broke up 7 dull days was the Zoo that is nearby. That is truly amazing and worth a visit, a must see is the reptile show.
It's 18 euros for adults kids under 4 for free but your rep will sell you a ticket for 24 euros and you have to catch the public bus like you would if you were just making your own way there so don't buy a rep ticket at the welcome meeting or the "we want to rip you off meeting".
Would we go back - NO but the Hotel does know if its your birthday by your registration card and send you a nice cake and a bottle of bubbly, nice touch.

Wonderful hotel. Excellent holiday.
The hotel is a modern 4*, and very modern. Good facilities, gym (free) small heated pool and very large non-heated pool, internet room, poolside bar with cold snacks, tennis courts. Main shops are only 10 mins walk. New zoo "oasis park" 10 mins away by bus (1 euro) + well worth the visit (go early- as not to miss shows).
All in all an excellent hotel, great rooms, good food + service. Next to the best beach on the island.
Can't see how you could be disappointed. Excellent.

HOW WRONG WE WERE
BEWARE THE CROSS CONTAMINATION WITH THE RAW AND COOKED MEATS
The service by the staff at reception was diabolical ,they were far too busy doing nothing to welcome us, after a 5 minute wait (with no other patrons at the reception desk) we were finally asked what we wanted, We were checked in but told our room was not ready but we could visit the buffet lunch while we waited ,this we did and we were horified at what we saw. The hotel boasts showcooking but what we saw was unbelievable, the chef for lunch was show cooking chicken, she was using a pair of tongs to remove raw chicken from a bowl and place it onto a hot plate, she then continued with the same tongs to turn over cooked and cooking chicken, and after placing more RAW chicken from the bowl onto the hotplate she proceded to serve guests cooked chicken from the hotplate with the same tongs ( dont know about you but I dont mix raw chicken and cooked chicken together or use the same utensils to serve it , this can only be asking for trouble) I did complain at the time but to no avail
We survived lunch the first day by eating salad and cheese but we had lost any confidence in the kitchen after what we had seen. At dinner things were no better the only difference was instead of chicken they were serving pork chops (cooked and served in the same manner) we did not wish to be ill with food poisoning whilst we stayed at this hotel and with the same style of cooking being employed at dinner we made a complaint in writing to the hotel director
The following days lunch service was pork chops (think they must have had a lot of them left from the dinner service the day before)
the method of cooking had been changed and the chefs were now wearing blue gloves to place the raw meat onto the hotplate (good you might think) but they soon slipped back into their old ways with the tongs and the cross contamination continued. We dare not eat any of the cooked meat whilst we stayed there we thought if this is what is going on with what you can see them cooking ,whats going on with what you cant see? The evening meal was a barbacue................ yes you guessed it, the blue gloves the tongs and the old ways of contamination were shown again even though a separate pair of tongs were available for the handling of raw meat .
All the cooking staff, looked very professional and looked as though they had been trained how to cook and serve correctly, but it seemed they were too lazy to do this in the correct manner
Our complaint was handled by the reception manager and we were given a r2 hotel t -shirt each and free passes to the hotel spa and sauna (which the hotel literature said was included in our stay anyway) maybe to try and buy our silence
Good for: Beach
