Me and my husband have just arrived back from two weeks at the Celeste Apartments, the apartments were lovely and clean, could do with a bit of decorating doing. the cleaners came nearly every day. It is very central to everything, and the reception staff couldn't do enough to help you, they were very friendly and pleasant.

The apartments are split into three blocks. We were in block 2. This is the block that houses the reception and seems to have the largest pool. The blocks are well set out and felt very secure with the addition of a locked gate that only guests could access. Some of the rooms are set over the bars and restaurants and shops on the road. Ours was one of these. We were above Motowns. We did not find this to be a problem with noise. The apartments were large and as other reviewers have said, basic - again this was not a problem. Nice touches were washing up liquid and tea towels being provided. The rooms were very clean and were cleaned most days. The cleaners were always on the go and very nice. Reception staff were also very helpful and polite. Our patio was large with 2 sun beds and a patio set provided. We loved the pool albeit a bit cold! For toddlers and children who are not confident in the water, the pool is a little bit deep. My 2 kids lived in the pool though (age 4 and 8). Some days it felt like our own private villa with a pool as it was so quiet! The apartments are very central being a 5 or so minute walk behind to the beach and there are plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. To get anywhere in the resort will take no more than 10 minutes. This is our 3rd time in Costa Teguise and these have been the lowest star apartments we have stayed in and the cheapest, but the best! We cannot wait to go back and will definitely be choosing Celeste again.

  • Advice: block 2 seems to be the best set out with most having a pool view. Remember to head down to the far end of the prom for more bars and restaurants.

just arrived back from a brill holiday with my wife and two children aged 5 and 14 where to start first. well the celeste apartments were lovely and clean .some say basic but i just think they fit in with the location superbly . we arrived at 7 on sunday 15 th august and were welcomed by a lovely smile from a friendly receptionist . the location could not have been better close to the square wher there are several quiet bars and lovely restaurant which all cater for everyone and again are so friendly and very reasonably priced .just outside to the right of our apprtments in block 1 was a really nice bar called Motowns which the staff there were always lovely and so friendly { you must check this out } the prices were good too about 2 euros for a pint and only 1 euros for soft drinks magners was only 3 euros .50 which was good considering you pay 3 to 4 pounds in this country . we have been back to teguise 6 times now aover the past 7 years and cant wait to go again next year .im sure we will be staying at the celeste again but if not it will only because there are no vacancies .need ia say any more well done thomas cook for this booking and thankyou to all who made it most enjoyable .oh i forgot to mention we stayed at room 127 a downstairs appartment but theres only one a bove anyway but although it was very warm out side the breeze kept it reasonably cool indise .oh and the appartments had every thing you neede ie micowave fridge frezer kettle and all utensils that you could think of the beach was 5 mins away but there are 3 small pools which are very small but all that are needed in this quiet place

What a brilliant holiday! We couldn't find fault with anything. The apartment was basic but clean[cleaned every day],the staff were friendly and helpful and the location is fantastic. The day trips are worth going on especially Timanfaya National Park and camel ride.Booked the trips in Last Minute Travel over the road from the Celeste--much cheaper than with the rep.--ie.difference of 10 euros to go to Teguise Sunday market.Found some lovely places to eat, especially El Maestro, and check out the breakfast in Motowns at 1.95 euros--cracking!We will definitely be going back next year.-p.s.the pools are checked for bacteria every morning.

Me and my family stayed at the celeste apartments last year. Yes the apartments are pretty basic but they are so practical with everything you need and all the staff are very friendly. Also the pools was always cleaned every night so the was a grat standard of cleanliness! They are really close to the beach and shops so they are very handy as well! They are also very close to all the restaurants, which all served absoloutely lovely food! Generally I absoloutely loved Lanzarote and would reccommend it to everyone ! :)

I went here for a little break (4 nights) and i will certainly be returning. The appartments was very basic but very very clean, but to be truthful you dont go on holiday to stay in all day. The appartments provided everything you needed. Just a couple of minutes walk you have bars, restrants, cafes, internet cafe and plus there is internet at the celeste with wireless too so you could take your lap tops! The staff are very friendly and helpful, You have ample of supermarkets to shop from. And if you like a drink just round the corner from you there is a square ful of bars and eating places , there are quiet bars and there are lively bars what ever takes your fancy on the night. There is an english cafe in the square called The square inn and they do a fab full breakfast just like from home and they are a lovely couple. Every thing you need is walking distance but if you want to venture around lanzarote there is plenty excursions on offer or rent a car because i think driving in lanzarote is very easy. Ive only been back from lanzarote 24hrs and already im looking to book another break there at the celeste !

Perfect position for relaxing beach holiday close to beach, excellent restaurants and good base if you want to hire a car and explore, which we have done on previous trips. apartments are fully equipped inc microwave (if you can be bothered to cook!) without having to pay the usual hire charges for a kettle etc. The Highlander bar is recommended for a full english breakfast if you want friendly english customer service from mein hosts Kev and Sandra and Kev makes a lethal Sangria too! We've stayed here in May and oct/Nov 09 and are booking up for Feb 2010 already as we are getting withdrawals symptoms!

We stayed in the Apartments Celeste for 2 weeks,I like everyone else had read the reports but the cats are friendly and not annoying at all they just chill by the pool. The apartments are basic but they are right near the beach, you just walk behind them and your there. We went on a few excursions(use the travel shop right at bottom near beach little hut).If your going to eat at one of the many Chinese restaurants then go to one called Jumbo's very friendly and if you meet Jay one of the waiters he will show you tricks, kept my kids entertained. The best beach is the one opposite Jumbo's,my kids called it "maldives beach"very clear water and little coves to sunbathe in.For the best nights out with kids or without go to Cactus Jacks,(turn right from apartments keep walking then take left after doctors)Friendly staff, cheap happy hour and lots of entertainment all night long!Watch out for the Star Ladies well good drag act!!All in all had brill holiday the apartments are just right, bus stop opposite to go to Puerto del Carmen and on excursions and restaurants just at back not noisy at all!!!

Hi, thought I must write a review having just returned from Lanzarote. We were very skeptical before we went after reading reviews on various websites. But i have to say that when we got there we were pleasantly surprise. The apartments were basic but very clean and tidy and had all the facilities needed for a holiday e.g microwave, cooker, fridge, kettle and toaster. The apartments are set in 3 blocks, each block with its own swimming pool. The pool's shallow end started at 1.05m so was great for us as our youngest is 9. The apartments are set in a fantastic location, right by shops, restaurants and around the corner from the fabulous beaches. The apartment staff were lovely and very helpful, we hired a fan for the week which cost sixteen euros with a five euro refundable deposit. The Black Bull pub is just beneath the apartments that we stayed in and they are the most fantastic family you could ever meet, very welcoming and very friendly and helpful. The weather was brilliant whilst we were there so we didn't wander too far from the beach and the swimming pool. The apartments are cleaned regularly and linen and towellls changed to and the balcony was huge. We will definately return to Lanzarote very soon!!!!

  • Advice: Definately a place to visit.
  • Activities: Black bull for eating, Higlander for Kareoke!

A Great Holiday

This is the third time my mum and I have stayed in Costa, each time a different apartment but this one we will be going back to.
Admittedly these apartments are a bit shabby, hence the 9/10 mark, but everything works, the place was clean and there was lashings of hot water any time of the day.
Reception were really friendly, helpful and well organised. Our apartment was ready even though we arrived at 10am in the morning. On leaving day we flew out at 9pm so they provided a room to lock up our cases and you could book the use of another apartment for an hour to shower and change. All this was free and they even rang for a taxi for us.
If you like cats this is the place for you! Every morning a big tabby was waiting at the door for us, he was there when we got back from the beach and there again all evening while we played scrabble on the patio!
The walk to the beach was an easy 5 minute one downhill, unfortunately this meant it was uphill coming back, but still you can't have everything!
The apartments were on either ground floor or up one level and our one had a poolside view which was lovely. It was quiet at night and during the day actually once the last of the families with children went home.

The Celeste Apartments are set in an excellent location within the resort and are very close to the beach (5 min walk). The staff and TK rep are very helpful and friendly with lots of smiles and the three blocks of apartments and pools area are kept very clean.
Apartments are nice and have everything you need for a self catering holiday, all have a large patio area, most overlooking the pool. It has a very relaxed atmostphere and we sometimes felt like we were at home in our back garden, with the added benefit of a pool!
There doesn't seem to be a "Centre" to Costa Teguise as the bars and restaurants are scattered everywhere and little side streets reveal hidden courtyards of bars and restaurants - it's really quite nice!
Black Bull pub and Saxos are great, as are the beach bars for an afternoon snack and drink, lots of special offers so don't let the Euro rate put you off. The beaches are lovely and breezy and there is a prom where you can walk all the way around the bay to explore the beaches.
Would highly reccommend these apartments !!
