" Chillin' "

Perfect position for relaxing beach holiday close to beach, excellent restaurants and good base if you want to hire a car and explore, which we have done on previous trips. apartments are fully equipped inc microwave (if you can be bothered to cook!) without having to pay the usual hire charges for a kettle etc. The Highlander bar is recommended for a full english breakfast if you want friendly english customer service from mein hosts Kev and Sandra and Kev makes a lethal Sangria too! We've stayed here in May and oct/Nov 09 and are booking up for Feb 2010 already as we are getting withdrawals symptoms!

Advice: Best part of Lanzarote for couples wanting a relaxing holiday

Activities: La Ciociara for a fantastic individual menu cooked to perfection by the owner/chef.

Good for: Beach

" good "

We stayed in the Apartments Celeste for 2 weeks,I like everyone else had read the reports but the cats are friendly and not annoying at all they just chill by the pool. The apartments are basic but they are right near the beach, you just walk behind them and your there. We went on a few excursions(use the travel shop right at bottom near beach little hut).If your going to eat at one of the many Chinese restaurants then go to one called Jumbo's very friendly and if you meet Jay one of the waiters he will show you tricks, kept my kids entertained. The best beach is the one opposite Jumbo's,my kids called it "maldives beach"very clear water and little coves to sunbathe in.For the best nights out with kids or without go to Cactus Jacks,(turn right from apartments keep walking then take left after doctors)Friendly staff, cheap happy hour and lots of entertainment all night long!Watch out for the Star Ladies well good drag act!!All in all had brill holiday the apartments are just right, bus stop opposite to go to Puerto del Carmen and on excursions and restaurants just at back not noisy at all!!!

Advice: try it

Activities: Jumbo's,Hacienda,

" Excellent!!!! "

Hi, thought I must write a review having just returned from Lanzarote. We were very skeptical before we went after reading reviews on various websites. But i have to say that when we got there we were pleasantly surprise. The apartments were basic but very clean and tidy and had all the facilities needed for a holiday e.g microwave, cooker, fridge, kettle and toaster. The apartments are set in 3 blocks, each block with its own swimming pool. The pool's shallow end started at 1.05m so was great for us as our youngest is 9. The apartments are set in a fantastic location, right by shops, restaurants and around the corner from the fabulous beaches. The apartment staff were lovely and very helpful, we hired a fan for the week which cost sixteen euros with a five euro refundable deposit. The Black Bull pub is just beneath the apartments that we stayed in and they are the most fantastic family you could ever meet, very welcoming and very friendly and helpful. The weather was brilliant whilst we were there so we didn't wander too far from the beach and the swimming pool. The apartments are cleaned regularly and linen and towellls changed to and the balcony was huge. We will definately return to Lanzarote very soon!!!!

Advice: Definately a place to visit.

Activities: Black bull for eating, Higlander for Kareoke!

" A Great Holiday "

This is the third time my mum and I have stayed in Costa, each time a different apartment but this one we will be going back to.
Admittedly these apartments are a bit shabby, hence the 9/10 mark, but everything works, the place was clean and there was lashings of hot water any time of the day.
Reception were really friendly, helpful and well organised. Our apartment was ready even though we arrived at 10am in the morning. On leaving day we flew out at 9pm so they provided a room to lock up our cases and you could book the use of another apartment for an hour to shower and change. All this was free and they even rang for a taxi for us.
If you like cats this is the place for you! Every morning a big tabby was waiting at the door for us, he was there when we got back from the beach and there again all evening while we played scrabble on the patio!
The walk to the beach was an easy 5 minute one downhill, unfortunately this meant it was uphill coming back, but still you can't have everything!
The apartments were on either ground floor or up one level and our one had a poolside view which was lovely. It was quiet at night and during the day actually once the last of the families with children went home.

Advice: Be sure to visit the market square, two markets a week and live music twice a week also.

Activities: All the restaurants in the square were absolutely fantastic

" Great place to stay ! "

The Celeste Apartments are set in an excellent location within the resort and are very close to the beach (5 min walk). The staff and TK rep are very helpful and friendly with lots of smiles and the three blocks of apartments and pools area are kept very clean.
Apartments are nice and have everything you need for a self catering holiday, all have a large patio area, most overlooking the pool. It has a very relaxed atmostphere and we sometimes felt like we were at home in our back garden, with the added benefit of a pool!
There doesn't seem to be a "Centre" to Costa Teguise as the bars and restaurants are scattered everywhere and little side streets reveal hidden courtyards of bars and restaurants - it's really quite nice!
Black Bull pub and Saxos are great, as are the beach bars for an afternoon snack and drink, lots of special offers so don't let the Euro rate put you off. The beaches are lovely and breezy and there is a prom where you can walk all the way around the bay to explore the beaches.
Would highly reccommend these apartments !!

Advice: Lovely resort would definitely consider going back in a couple of years

Activities: Black Bull, Saxos, Aqua Park, Sea Cruise day trip

" fantastic place to stay "

This was our 3rd time at the Celeste and we are returning again in 2009 in fact 4 return trips have been booked already. I think this says it all! Celeste is basic but clean with everything you need, staff are very friendly too, trying to speak a little spannish to with them makes even more of a difference. A great place for a chill out rest.Cannot recommend them enough.

" Christmas in Lanzarote "

We just spent Christmas in Lanzarote and stayed at the Celeste. The apartments were very clean...basic but with everything we needed. We had an upstairs accommadation which had a nice balcony/terrace with chairs, table and sunbeds. The cleaner came in most days and the reception staff were very nice and helpful. We requested more pillows and it was written in the book and they were brought the next day. Each apartment has it's own boiler, so there was always plenty of hot water. The only thing that spoiled our time at the Celeste was the beds which were very hard....so hard that we woke up every time we turned over, so we didn't get a lot of sleep.the Celeste is 5 minutes from the beach and all the restaurants and bars, but not too close to be noisy!

Advice: We enjoyed sitting in the old square with a beer, especially at night!

Activities: The paella at the restaurant by the roundabout was great!

" I have just returned from a holiday... "

I have just returned from a holiday in Lanzarote, with my Husband and 2 year old son. Ive not got a bad word to say about Celeste apartments, they had everything needed for a self catering holiday and were cleaned most days. All areas within the apartments were also very clean and tidy and i liked the fact that all the 3 apartment blocks had a locked gate which made you feel secure. The only bad point was the swimming pools they are very deep and not for younger children. We stayed in the first block in a ground floor apartment which we were told was the quieter block, the terrace had a sun lounger on it and a gate so my little boy could play without us worrying about him escaping. We were only 5mins walk from the beach and all restaurants. We spent a lot of time in Bar Bex the owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. They served food all day and if you use the pool in the 2nd block they serve out onto the terrace. I would defiantly recommend these apartments to friend and family and are hoping to return soon.

" we stayed at the celeste apartments... "

we stayed at the celeste apartments for 1 week at the end of october.
was a last minute deal and we were very happy with the deal we got, the apartments are basic, but very clean, the pool areas are also we maintained, also like the fact you have a secure gate to protect the apartments so people couldn't just wonder in, reception staff were very helpful. The weather was great and not as windy as we were told it was there. Plents of nice places to eat and drink while looking out to the sea, fantastic in the evening. Also make sure you go to the local market on a thursday evening lots of great bargains, the location was great as it was just a 2min walk to the beach and the restaurants and shop, we really enjoyed the holiday and are planning to go back again. overall a really nice place to stay if you are booking a low price holiday.

" Returned from a two week stay at the... "

Returned from a two week stay at the celeste.
The celeste apartments are in a perfect location, a 2 minute walk away from the beach and all the shops and supermarkets.
The celeste apartments are basic but they have everything you need and you have a big balcony space with a table and chairs and if you're lucky like us, you'll even get sun loungers!
They could do with being painted but lets face it, you only sleep in your apartment really.
As im a seventeen year old girl, i would say that these apartments are more for a family with younger children.
But im sure anyone would enjoy their stay.
Oh and also, take a visit to 'Bar Bex', the people in there are soo friendly and they do a lovely breakfast!!

" We had a fantastic 2 week stay at the... "

We had a fantastic 2 week stay at the celeste apts.... We stayed here with our three children 2 teenagaers and a 8 year old... our room was a very good standard and clean... We had our own patio area that was large for sunbathing or eating al fresco...
The pool area was clean the pool was a little small and deep but just perfect for lounging whilst my youngest was in there i didnt have to worry about him wandering off!

The apartments themselves are situated right in the heart of costa teguise.... 2 minute walk to the beautiful beach.... the main square is just outside the apartments and although our bedroom backed on to a very popular pub it was never too loud.....

There is a number of supermarkets in the area the spa and the netto are a two minute walk away there is a number of very good pub/ food places in the area the british cafe a real favourite and also the tex mex house in the square.... Overall lanzarote is a lovely place the people really nice and fantastic weather... we have been here a couple of times, although this was our first stay at the celeste .... for a good clean comfortable apartment in the heart of the action you cant go wrong here... In fact we have booked to stay again in september!

Oh and one more thing there is a drag show across the road very family friendly and a great laugh the drinks are reasonable and the company good well worth a visit...

" had a great holiday in costa teguise,... "

had a great holiday in costa teguise, the apartment was quite basic but was ok for our needs. very close to the beach and all the shops which was a bonus. only problem was the swimming pool, my daughter who is 6 would not get in because it was so deep in the shallow end. went on 2 trips, the grand tour, which was great but a bit too expensive when you have 2 kids and you have to buy your lunch at an allocated restaurant where they dont cater for younger kids or people who are vegetarians. also went on the country night out which we all enjoyed! all the staff were fantastic!!! i would recommend these apartments.

" stayed here as a family-2 adults 3... "

stayed here as a family-2 adults 3 kids and had a really nice holiday. The apartment was on second floor (im glad we got this as far more private than ground floor). The pool was small and quite deep but luckily all mine can swim-toddlers would have to have grown up in pool with them as theres no shallow end. The apartment itself was ample with a big enough balcony to sunbathe on and eat on in the evening and the area was nice and clean. No entertainment at all but we liked it that way. Staff were nice and polite too. Safes were kept in reception and this was only open at certain times so you had to always make sure u had enough to tide u over in case it was shut. mostly ate and drank underneath the apartments at Bar Bex-run by a fantastic family-food was good and they were some of the nicest people wed ever met on holiday.hello to liz pete n bex. there is a supermarket next door and larger ones in the area surrounding the celeste. the beach was about 10 mins walk and was ok-certainly not one of the best ive been to but still ok-lanzarote is quite breezy and i found it didnt brighten up till 11-12 o clock but i guess most people would be glad of the breeze i know my kids were.Lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance and a market is held few times a week in the square which is only 2 mins away-now the negative points(sorry) it was windy at night and our inside doors were always banging-had to position a rag in all the doors at night-and the beds were the hardest ive ever slept on ever.id probably go back but id stay in a different apartment(the kids would stay there tho)it was peak summertime but wasnt crowded at all -id go back if it was a really cheap deal but have to say the uncomfy beds along with the windy weather would put me off otherwise
