Activities: siam park is a must foor everyone and for food you cant go past the whiskey jar
" oro for hire "
Submitted By: joaDue to shape of property, ie a "U" shape, any sounds echo, ie people talking in pool bar at 2am, sounds like they are in your room.
Good location for bars, restaurants, and access to either Los Christianos or beaches. Also only across road from new Siam Water park, which is a must, much better than Aqualand. Also if you want to go to Jungle Park (where the bird of prey show is fantastic - watching them fly free) book via an agent (£17-19 euros) as it is 24.50 euros if you pay at the park, buses are free and directly opposite apartments.
Reps tell you to turn right out of the gate, but there are loads of great pubs and restaurants if you turn left, especially the chinese just around the corner on the left. Al you can eat for 6.50 euros, but they stitch you with the price of the drinks, but the buffet is worth it.
This may sound like a negative review, and in part it is, but although we would not stay there or in playa de las americas again, we will visit the apartments to see the staff, as we made some great friends.

" very good holiday "
Submitted By: emma1989takes just 15 mins car ride to/from the airport, the hotel is close to the centre. loads of bars and restaurants to choose from, nice friendly people. theres a macdonalds and burger king (and even a Hooters)right on the sea front. would have liked a bit more entertainment in the hotel itself. keep an eye out for people trying to sell you stuff on the street, an African woman tried to sell me 'good luck' for €5. would deffinatley go again, but with a group of people, didnt feel safe for 2 young girls to be walking the streets at night. all in all, a great holiday.
Advice: lovely, picturesque island, great views and nice beaches
Activities: great food at Mathews, round the corner from Oro Blanco. Veronicas strip is a must!

" Oro Blanco "
Submitted By: jimwattThe main note of caution is hire a safe and keep a very close eye on your belongings. My son had his expensive mobile phone stolen from our room while he was sleeping in his bed ! I met several people who had items stolen and all (like my son) on the last day of their holiday.
" our holiday "
Submitted By: gdeThe only bad point was the Thomas Cook reps, they sell tours etc as well as Aqualand at very high prices. We paid a fortune to go to Aqualand as we were told by the Thomas Cook Reps BRIAN and SARAH that the new Saim Water Park did not have a safety certificate,THIS WAS A LIE !!! as they get a better payoff from Aqualand. We paid Thomas Cook 139 euros for Aqualand,if we had gone to pay at the door we would only have paid 68 euros !!!!!!!! so dont buy any trips from the reps.Take note Thomas Cook have now nearly taken over all the holiday companies and Tenerife airport was full of their planes.
All in all we had a good time.
" Oro dissapointment!!! "
Submitted By: Kaylee_louiseThroughout the holiday the reception staff were rude and very unhelpul and at one point i even had to request to speak to the manager.
Also during our stay 17 items of clothing and property belonnging to us went missing and after speaking with the reception was told it was not there responsibilty. A comment of "i dont like c12" was also made!
I admit , our group was rather rouwdy and at times could be loud, but a polite request would of been sufficent.
During our stay an accident also occured so that one of our party injured his foot causing some damage to a window. The rep was no help at all and only seemed intrested in making sure we paid as soon as possible.
On a brighter note the area ( pubs and clubs) were brilliant and the bar staff at the hotel ( namely hugh) were really nice and welcoming. Perhaps the other staff should take a leaf out of his book!
I would recommend tenerife to everyone - just not the hotel!
" Had really good apartments, one 3... "
Submitted By: Mr J ErringtonThe apartments are good but they have changed since we were last there two years ago from a family to a youngsters apartments. We still had a good time but had to calm down groups of lads and lasses in the pool when my 13 month old granddaughter was close to them. We still met some lovely people, including the people I had words with and some really nice families.
Situated perfectly between the Starco/Veronicas(5mins walk) area and the Patch(7-8mins) and on towards Los Cristianos(10mins) Oro Blanco is an excellent base that is even better now that Siam Park is open. You are within walking distance of the new park and can even see it if you are facing the golf course.
There are some fantastic eating and drinking holes nearby. Starting with the restraunts best first-
Mama Rosa's, can not be faulted
Michaelangelo's, almost as good
Matthews, really good breakfast
American Dreams, nice food in American setting with decent entertainment
Royal Garden, on the seafront at Veronicas, really nice
Pheasant Plucker, good food.
Pubs- in no particular order
Yesteryears- good bar, tranny dj is a laugh
Jacks Bar, Royal Oak 2 and The Bus Stop are so good we spent he whole night in them sometimes.
Leonardos, do not go to PDLA and miss The Wild Boys
The Anchor, became my local, watched football here and they have some cracking entertainment at a night time
Clubs-
Tramps, really good especially when the big djs are on
Sound of Cream, good club but quiet

Submitted By: arkinsmithWe were a bit worried before we went because of some of the reviews we read but it was nothing like the reviews the rooms were very basic but you get what you pay for the kitchen was good enough to make food in though.
We didn't see one cockroach in our room or in the whole hotel except for outside which is to be expected.
No air conditioning but you can rent a fan from reception if needs be.
Staff very friendly.
We didn't hear to much noise a bit from veronicas at night but nothing that you wouldn't beable to sleep through.
Would definitely recommend YesterYears for somewhere to drink really cheap and the staff couldn't be more welcoming theres a tranny who works in there who goes by the name of Jessica Frost and she is absolutely fantastic.
Would definitely recommend it and we are thinking about going back in February.
