We stayed at Oro Blanco in March, over all the place was clean and tidy, the rooms were a good size. Close to beach, shops, bars etc. Good time was had by all.
Be warned though if you’re a young group and make even the slightest noise after midnight you will be charged 50 Euros per person. You will get this back if you behave, but it's a little extreme.
Hotel itself is very secure at night they have a security guard that is on duty all night.
Don't expect a conversation out of him because the extent of his vocabulary is - be quiet.
On the whole it was quite nice probably would stay again.
Would not recommend to younger people on holiday for a laugh, as you will be skint by the end of your first week.

The rooms were large but the standard of cleaning was very poor, and I had to clean the room on the first day - there was old dirty underwear in the bedroom draws.
Staff were good and helpful.
Our room was to the front of the hotel which meant we overlooked a busy road - the traffic was non stop and that meant we could not open the windows due to the noise, so we did not get much sleep all week.
However, we paid cheap so I feel that I cannot complain too much - staff said the hotel is full of young party people all summer, so take care if you’re over 25.

My Wife and myself booked the Oro Blanco and it was only after I read the reports on it that I started to wonder if I had made a mistake. The hotel was clean and well kept, our room was again clean well decorated and everything worked.
We saw the area where the call girls were said to hang around but the club was closed and we never saw anything unusual all week. The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with our requests from extra pillows to money changing. The hotel is sited well for all the bars and we had some very good nights in the Anchor and some excellent food in Snappys.
The pool is small for the amount of guests but we went to the beach most days. We found that it was not very noisy on a night and never had any problems sleeping but this may be due to the fact that a lot of the quests were middle to old age or families, it may be a different story in the summer months. We both had a very enjoyable holiday and would go back again at this time of year.

Just back from Oro Blanco apartments and must say it was the best holiday ever!
The rooms were basic but clean, all you need on holidays.
The rep Martin was great, very friendly and helpful, and was around a good bit during the day.
The pool area was clean and the bar staff very friendly. Good entertainment at night - casino night, quizzes etc...
The pub Linekers down the road is brilliant for anyone looking for good night out. The bar staff fun and good music.
Will defo go back to the Oro Blanco without a doubt. All the other guests that we talked to seemed to enjoy it too!

I'm 16 and stayed in the Oro Blanco apartments with my mum and older brother over Christmas and really enjoyed myself. It was surprisingly busy for Christmas time.
Our apartment had 3 rooms; two bedrooms and a living room/kitchen. It was very spacious with room to sleep 6 people! Perfect for a group of youngsters but you must be quiet after midnight.
It also had a very long balcony with a good view of the sea. For those who don't know how to pack light there is plenty wardrobe space.
The pool is also huge however the building blocks the sun a bit so you are likely to find everyone sunbathing on one side of the pool. (With your usual early risers who like to mark their territory with their towels and then go away.)
Around the pool there are plenty amusements for kids/teenagers. There are a few pool tables (not free), a big chess board, big TV's and a foosball table. Also, there is a sauna and washing machines downstairs.
The apartments are in a great location 10-15 minutes bus ride from the airport, 5 minutes by car up to the Las Americas Golf Course which is great and 10 minutes walk to the beach and all the nightlife.
I recommend the club Tramps and Rags underneath. For those who enjoy piano/jazz there is a great, classy bar called Joey's which is further along the beach.
If you are a keen golfer - don't go at Christmas time! 100 euros per person for a round and its disappointing having to pair up with people to make up a foursome when you’re paying those prices.
On the down side the staff of the apartments weren't exactly the friendliest and housekeeping were a bit of a let down. Being a chambermaid/housekeeper myself at the weekends, I must admit I was checking the girl's work in more scrutiny than most.
The sheets weren't changed throughout the week and rubbish was left in the bins for days. Some days I think she was quite happy not to clean our room, as it obviously was one of the biggest.
I would go back and stay in these apartments... possibly with a group of friends in the summer time.

The mixed reviews from others had concerned us and we now think we can see why.
The transfer went OK and reception were friendly and efficient. However it was with some worry that we went to our room.
On opening the door there was an overpowering smell of bleach, still could this mean it had been well cleaned? - opening all the windows and balcony doors reduced the problem, though it took a couple of days for the smell to go completely, but then it was clean!
The beds were some of the most comfortable we have experienced in over thirty years of using hotels and extra pillows and light blankets were provided quickly on request.
The self catering facilities were more basic than our more usual locations, but we had decided before going that we would eat out more on this trip.
The room itself could not have been better placed - a corner room on one of the upper floors - views over part of the golf course, parts of Los Cristianos and the sea - we had some fantastic sunsets over the bay.
OK, there were hotels in view, but for us not too intrusive and we could also see La Gomera and even El Hierro at times. This was just what we had asked for from our travel agent, so no disappointment on that account.
Maid service was as expected. When we saw them they were friendly and towel and bedding changes were as quoted. Cleaning was very quick, but there wasn't much to clean up.
This fortnight's holiday was to mark a special anniversary so we had decided to do something different, book quite late and see what we would end up with.
This was also our first ever 'package holiday'- our previous holidays have always been as independent travellers, even easier now with the internet - so we wanted to try to experience the complete thing.
The 'welcome' meeting the next morning was certainly something different. Most of those present were of more mature years (40s, 50s, 60s, plus) but the rep - did not seem to realise this.
He regularly referred to us as 'Guys'. "Hi guys” was also his regular greeting if/when he noticed us during the holiday. Later another rep joined; she had a completely different style, very good.
His first mistake was to tell us we were in one of the best hotels in the area, the looks on faces around said something else, but he then corrected himself by saying it was best because the rep(s) would be there all day on most days!
We also discovered that just about everything was "amazing" - he said this at least 42 times (yes, so often I got bored and couldn't help counting). His pushy technique to try to sell us yet another amazing experience appeared to have the opposite effect, certainly on those sitting near us.
It seemed that many of us had been to Tenerife on previous holidays and had our own plans for the time. We were not too shocked then when meeting fellow residents at the local bus stops or when travelling around.
The 'bono' ticket system is really useful and a good way to see a bit more of the 'real' Tenerife. Mentioning 'Bono' tickets is something useful perhaps that the reps could introduce, but then they aren't getting any financial reward from this!
We enjoyed our holiday overall, unfortunately we met others in the hotel who had other experiences, one young mother had many of her children’s clothes ruined when they fell onto the damp (bleach) floor when she was unpacking - the reaction of the rep / reception was less than helpful.
It also seemed that many were disappointed with their rooms, views in one direction, of a wall, or no balcony, but again with a full hotel there was little sympathy to their plight.
Our main complaints:
(i) The cleanliness around the pool, other guests leaving cans, cigarette ends papers lying around and no clean up apparently till the evening.
(ii) The noise, fellow residents having loud arguments, banging doors etc. It's 'amazing' how much noise travels around the landings and between rooms.
(iii) The bar / karaoke - the racket from this echoed up through the pool area, even to the top floor. As we were out most evenings this was not too much of a nuisance, but when you do want an earlier night it was a problem.
Would we go back to Oro Blanco? No
Would we ever have another package holiday? Maybe, but we would be much more selective and use the net to check the reviews.

A fantastic accommodation with a lovely pool.
The rooms were OK, but I think the maids could do a bit more than just make the beds (perhaps clean towels and loo roll?).
The bar is brilliant, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. All in all a brilliant place to stay - And my thanks to all the staff and Airtours for such a wonderful place.
10/10

I would put these apartments as being 1000/10, but it won't let me.
I utterly loved this holiday, its great for young groups. The reps, Alister, was amazing, top guy.
Our room, room b34, luxury 5 girls, so spacious, one of the best rooms. 3 bed rooms, a big kitchen, dining room, with TV and seating, bathroom, and an extra toilet.
Sea view with 3/4 balconies. Amazing, really good spacious room for 5 girls.
The staff really helpful. Only had one bug in the room the entire holiday. There are shops real close to the hotel.
The pool, big. Plenty of room around the pool too. The pool bar which served food during the day, and had a very well used happy hour at night. Is really good value.
The night life.... the best! Linekers is the best bar in the world.
You will have such a laugh in here, make sure you go to the foam party, the school disco, and do the booze cruise in the day too!
This really is worth every penny... I’m so going back! This is the best place ever!

I went with friends on a late deal. We asked for and got 2 studios adjacent to each other, with balconies. The actual rooms were a good size for 2 people (they are for 2/3), basic but ok as we were only there for a week. Standard of cleaning not brilliant, but you are told about this in the brochures. Our group consisted of male 50 and females 52, 46 and 20. The pool. Cold and very dodgy slippery white area round it, and too small for the complex. I read up on the apartments/studios before going and the area and were pleasantly surprised about the brothel/prostitute problem! We did not encounter anything bad. There are sex shops around, but we were not bothered by them. The veronicas area is nearby (turn left as you leave apartments), which is apparently the bad area so, we went right! This leads down to Los Cristianos (about 15/20 minute stroll). The beaches there are lovely, as are the shopping areas. Really pretty at night! Reception staff were helpful. We had lovely weather, only 2 cloudy days, but still warm. On the whole, it wasn't too bad there. We are going back next year around the same time (last week in November), but will not be staying at Oro Blanco. One reason being we liked the Los Cristianos area, and would rather be nearer. Beware the scratch card touts! They are very annoying. Their line is are you going to the shopping centers? Then take a card and you think you are maybe going to get a discount for the shops - you will not! Everyone wins, and then you will get bundled into a taxi and they are really time share sharks-to be avoided at all costs! And we heard some of them with their boss, being told-you have to get more today! Very intimidating! We think they should be thrown off the island as they are giving it a bad name! Which is a shame, as it is very pretty.

I cannot fault this holiday. The rooms were excellent. Make sure that you go for the Club Oro Blanco and go for a 3 bedroom apartment.
The pool was not cold as other reviewers claimed and there were plenty of loungers all day long.
There was not too much noise and the apartment is well situated. The cleaners came in every day and changed towels and bedding quite often. They even washed up the dishes one day.
Just two criticisms -- its a shame the TV only had CNN and Sky Premier in English and BBC1.
Also the internet kept breaking down -- both terminals in the lobby.
Still we were not there to watch TV or to surf -- lovely tans and a great time.
