Oro Blanco

Oro Blanco Apartments are ACEE!! the rooms are huge with clean bed sheets and kitchen and bathroom areas. I would only recommend these apartments to 14-30 years though as during the night there is lots of shouting and slamming of doors but what do you expect from a 2 star hotel were 14-30 year old lads and girls having a good time and enjoying themselves. I was on holiday from the 17th june to 25th june with my younger neice,sister and mum. My neice is only 1 year old and being truthful it really wasnt the apartments for her she was getting woken up by loud noise and moving of furniture above us. When you arrive at the apartements ask for a pool view apartment and get one that is on one of the higher floors as you are not likely to get as many cockroaches as we did. We was on the 2nd floor and we had 11 cockroaches in our rooms but what do you expect they were around before any of us and it isnt the apartments fault that the cockroaches have chosen to make themselves at home in your apartments. Has you probably already no cockroaches can fly and they fly fast but they WILL NOT BITE !! I would recommend that you keep your blacony doors shut and your thick curtain closed through the day and night whilst your not in as they can we attracted to warm cosy places and they love light but will only come out in the dark( through the night~)

me n my partner stayed their in june n had a fantastic time. your holiday is what you make it so u who had a bad time verrrry unlucki boring people. the cockroaches are a little disgusting n scruffy but the hotel cant help that. we would definatly go back and would defrinatly recomend it.

My friend and I stayed here from the 1st-8th of June 2008 and we thought it was fantastic! The rooms were cleaned every day and were huge! Our studio apartment could easily sleep four people and had a decent sized kitched. We were on the top floor so it was nice and cool on the balcony at night. Pool area was really nice, catches a lot of sun. All the staff are friendly and helpful, they will book taxis for you and give you directions to everywhere. I would not recommed this hotel for people with younger children as there are a lot of teenages and early 20s people there who can be quite rowdy and dominate the pool. There was a bit of noise from people coming in in the early hours but could not be heard once we shut the balcony door. All in all fantastic hotel and only 5 minutes walk from the strip!

We stayed at this hotel from 1st - 8th of June 2008 and found it fantastic. It was cleaned everyday, the room for two of us was massive. The hotel itself was really nice with friendly staff and we had no problems. I would not recommend this hotel for families with younger children though, as there are a lot of 18-30 people there making noise and being rowdy. All in all fantastic place would love to stay there again!

Well theres been some points on here I can agree with, especially the ones made about the towels... They clearly dont have fragrance in their washing powder, or they clearly let them dry in the washing machine - each set smelt like rotting old socks. Anyway, for the price we paid (4 of us 19, 19, 19, 23) we thought overall it was a decentish enough place to stay. We didnt experience a cockroach once, the maids couldnt speak a word of english, but it was fun playing charades with them, and the grumpy spanish dude on reception needed a slap in the face once in a while - but other than that, not a bad place to stay. We too were placed facing the golf course onto the main busy road... but c'mon people, has anyone heard of ear plugs? If you're going to pay cheap, dont expect the ritz - the rooms were of an adequate size, the only downfall i feel was that with the 4 of us, there was only 1 twin room with 2 of us expected to sleep on a 3/4 pull out sofa bed effort (it was a good job two of our party was a couple), plus there wasnt enough storage to accomodate everybody's things. Pool area was nice, always enough sun loungers around the time we went and a good little pool bar that do a decent english breakfast. The entertainment is pants, so dont bother with that, a dodgy quiz and a game of bingo is what it entails.
Apart from the accommodation, it's quite central to pubs and clubs, but being the oldest of our party and being very grandad-like, the PR's for the clubs were really starting to rile me... You would walk past on your way to a restuarant, and they'd physically try and push you into the pub. There were a few instances when people would drive by on mo-peds and stop (thinking your going to get mugged) begging you to go to some 'party' when you decline they call you allsorts saying you're boring T***s etc.
Anyway, overall just above average - nothing special, nothing bad

My Wife, myself and my Mum stayed at the Oro Blanco Apartments Whitsun week 2008. When we got to the reception at the hotel it was about ten o clock at night and fairly tired as my mom is in her eighties. The handing over of the keys and telling us which way to go to the room was quick and straight forward .We were in a three bedroom apartment which was very large, which held up to seven people. The apartment was very clean and tidy, with the cleaners coming in five times a week. The linen was changed twice per week which was sufficient. The only negative thing about the hotel was a fair bit of noise coming from other rooms and guests from above, our room was on the second floor facing the bar and pool on three occasions I had to put cotton wool in my ears to drown out the noise as the double glazing was useless. On other reviews I have read about cockroaches about this hotel I came across none in the week we were there it was very clean. All in all the hotel was okay the weather was warm and sunny; eating out was average as the euro is not to good at the moment. We also hired a car for the week direct from avis at the airport. Would I go to this hotel again probably in a couple of year’s time? But not in June July or august as it would be thronging with noise and to many people Signing out guests numbering three. ADIOS.

My family and I have just returned from the Oro Blanco. I was a little scared before I went because of some of the things I read about them. Well can I put everyones mind at rest who are going. They are fantastic. The rooms are clean with towels getting changed every two days, bed linen changed regularly, pool area great with a good pool bar where you can get drinks and food of a good variety. The hotel staff are really helpfull rom the cleaners right way through to the reception staff. They are positioned well within walking distance to the main area and plenty of shops nearby to buy any groceries. Go there and I am sure you will have a brill time

i went with 2 of my friends were all 18,was great.rooms are good.reception is good. if you like to go out have a good time you should go here. entertaintment is pants but you have the brilliant night life just 5 minute walk from oro blanco.
go to the WISKEY JAR wee pub just down the road from or0 blanco BIG UP JOCK, hes the man:). oh and jamie and jay from china garden. xxxxx

Me and my partner took the chidren in augest of last year, unlike all the bad reviews we read we had a brill time and the only thing got us down was there was nothing for the kids but they got on with it and injoyed the pool and watter park which was only up the road and didnt cost that much, Food was nice,staff friendly also the people we meat was nice hardly no noice at all and miles away from the strip, I would deff go there again but not with the kids as there was nothing there for them and that was the only let down every thing eles was easy and smooth, YOU MUST TRY IT.

I went to oro blanco last year and it was my first time going abroad for 7yrs. When we got to the hotel we were greeted with open arms and the staff were brilliant. The hotel its self was in very good condition and the rooms were very good. when i went there was 8 of us so they accomadated us very well by putting us in 2 differen rooms next to each other. The facilities were very good. The bar was open untill early hours of the morning and the staff on the bar were good aswell. Around the pool and the pool itself were very good. There was enough space so people were not fighting to get a sunbed. The pool itself was a good set out as there was a section for the little children and a section for he rest of the people.
Overall my experiance at this hotel was a good one. i would reccomend to people to come to oro blanco as it is a really nice place to go to and very good staff.!!
