We have just returned from Michael's Beach Apartments, and I have to say that it has been our worst ever experience abroad When we arrived we were allocated a 1 bedroomed substandard apartment. Fridge was rusty, although when we complained we were given a fridge that had the door falling off. Mattresses and towels were stained, air conditioning was noisy and then started leaking there was an odd smell in the apartment. We definitely did not feel happy about using crockery and cutlery. We did asked to be moved but were told that there were no other apartments available. On the third day we saw some people leaving and demanded to be moved. We than moved to a newer apartment which initially appeared better beds were newer fridge and utensils were better. However we now had ants and cockroaches. This was the final straw so we just moved out, and ended up paying 600 euro for a superb house further along the beach for the last 3 days. In my opinion Michael's Beach Apartments should be shut down or completely refurbished. The whole place has a rundown appearance sunbeds are very old and torn as are umbrellas. This would not even be a 1 star in my opinion.

Found apartments great for money paid. Cleaned every day with friendly staff. Shop in apartments quite expensive but plenty of other shops nearby. Great location next to beach with good views and plenty of sunbeds. Would definately go back. Great pubs nearby try porche pub quiet but andreos who owns it really friendly.

Best Value I saw while in Cyprus
The Apt that we had was perfect everything in working order and tons of space for the holiday away from home. It had everything we needed and they even offered a few things we did not have.
The supermarket in building had honest prices and had plenty to choose from weather it was breakfast items, lunch fixings , drinks , most anything you needed
The beach Tiki bar has a great atmospher to it Mark was a great host at the bar and a good cook. Jim the Manager was a true working Hotel Manager always checking to see that all was running well and also has the personal touch to chat with the guests and make sure you are enjoying your stay.
If you are going to Cyprus this is your place to stay not just for Larnaka I suggest you make it your headquarters and make day trips to the other cities when you get back to your Apt you feel like you are getting home at end of day.
P.S. Also the staff is a 7 day staff they are there everyday so its like family you do not have to worrie about not knowing who to see about anything they are all there everyday ( just like family )

The apartments are clean, the staff and Jim the manager are friendly and will help in any way they can. This is the plus points.
The apartments have been rated as an A Class this is equivalent to a 4 star (do not be fooled) this is about a 2 star.
Having went in the middle of April there was very little in the shop, the beach side snack bar was closed, the sandy beach was more like stones and muck but the sea is warm.
The pool is situated at the front of the complex, and has very little sunloungers and is very basic; I did not feel it was very clean, although when I said this, it was cleaned.
Having gone to Cyprus for 2 weddings I was disappointed with the accommodation as having family in the 2 neighbouring hotels which are both 4 star, it was clear that ours was not.
Having spent 1 week at the Michael’s Beach I feel that this type of accommodation is ideal for people who are looking to party all night and sleep all day.
John our tour rep was nice enough but I felt he was not interested in moving us to other apartments when I complained on the first night.
After 3 days I was offered other S/C accommodation in Limassol but refused as this was 20 minutes away from all of the family we were with.
I was also offered to upgrade to the Princess for the last 4 days of our holiday for a vast amount of money but would have had to take 2 rooms, which meant my husband and I taking one child each, I also refused this.
One consolation to this holiday was we had very good weather.

We found the place to be absolutely superb, a lovely room more or less right on the beach with fantastic views, the self catering equipment was more than adequate, we only ate breakfast in the apartment, we had lunch & dinner out in the numerous restaurants which were about a 200 yard walk away from Michaels beach apartments. I would say there’s about 10 or more lovely restaurants all within about 500 yards of the apartments.
Also local supermarkets are within the same radius, which stock all the provisions you require for self catering, and even better there’s a shop on the complex to save you the hassle. We will definitely return next year in May or September.
For the record we had our room cleaned everyday, by a very nice local girl. All in all we had a great time, and we much prefer self catering, especially when there's such nice restaurants and bars all within a 5 minute walk.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Larnaca, Cyprus, and stayed at the Michaels Beach' we cannot fault the accommodation, the staff or the location of our apartment. The receptionist and cleaner went out of their way to be helpful. We had a lovely view of the Med from our balcony, and were close to the beach. We are not beach people but it is good if you are. We love Larnaca and the Cypriot people, they are always so friendly and generous. We are always remembered by our local taverna and bar. We will be returning to Larnaca and will be using the Michael Beach again, and would recommend it to anyone.

I think this is one of my worst holidays ever! The apartments are definitely not four star, I would rate them two star or three at a push.
The apartments were very basic and we only had them cleaned once in the whole week! No clean sheets and towels were only changed once after I asked!
There was minimal cooking equipment and what was there was not clean enough to be used! The swimming pool was dirty and there was only four sun beds for everyone around the pool.
The staff were friendly but nothing actually got done!
The beech is mud and not sand. The only nice feature is the shallow water of the sea which was very pleasant to swim in although the views on both sides were massive industrial parks!
We struggled to find food and had to get taxi's to Larnaca town everyday. I really would never advice to holiday here!

Low costs comparing to hotels level. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and spacey rooms with enough equipments on kitchenette, of course hotel is not new, and not luxury, but we didn't looked for it. Peaceful situation on the beach, no traffic noise. Beach was shallow and clean.
Pool was small but by the sea there was enough space to swim. Good traffic connections and near airport. Taxi costs only 8 Cyp (14 euros) between hotel and airport. Lot of cats, but they were friendly and good shape. Nice place for families and people who are looking for peaceful beach life.

We booked Michael’s Beach less than a week before travelling due to Golden Sun going bust. Basically, we found the apartments at random via several search engines, checked it out on the holiday forums and as time was short, decided to go for it. The week only cost about £140 (Alpha Rooms) so we didn’t expect miracles. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious, with a daily cleaning service. There’s enough equipment to self cater and also a small shop on site. It’s right on the beach as the name implies, and just a few minutes walk from the typical tourist ‘strip’ on the Larnaca-Dhekelia Road. There’s a decent sized pool and loungers, etc. The air con is free, which is unusual. Staff friendly and helpful.
