Arcadia hotel great break
Have just returned 3/4/07 14 night break, my family and I really enjoyed it, our standard room was spacious and very clean as was the rest of the hotel, great choice of food including excellent Chinese and Italian a la carte, did not try the japanese or Turkish a la carte but the settings also looked very nice. staff were very helpfull and pleaseant at every level. Pools were spacious and very clean as no eating was aloud poolside, full size football pitch on site tennis courts and a great base to play some fantastic Golf courses from, max 10min drive, nearest and newest Faldo course 3 min taxi ride. NOW the Animation team they get a special thankyou as they worked so hard not only for the shows but the kids club, from face painting to foam parties, banana boat rides they were superb. thanks Arcadia for a great holiday money well spent.
Amazing Arcadia
Just got back from holiday and needed to let other people know what they are missing. This is an excellent Hotel with staff that cannot do enough to make your stay there one to remember. The resturants are fantastic and cater for everyone, the bars are very well stocked and the staff are very cheerful. this hotel really puts a lot of effort into making sure you are looked after. Even on the beach they clear the seaweed that is washed up on shore everyday so you can enjoy yourself on the beach without having to climb over it, you dont even need to take towels to the one of the three luxurious pools as you can collect these on the way. The entertainment at night in the ampitheatre was fun and at the bar in the hotel you have live music each night. The waiters are a friendly bunch especially Fatih Sarag always laughung and joking but never at anyones expense. All in All we were overwhelmed by the reception we recieved and the proffessionalism shown in looking after holiday makers, so much so we are booking up again for next year. (Looking forward to seeing and having a laugh with Fatih again) so if you go and come across Fatih say hello from the Scottish and we will see him soon.
Well run hotel
The Arcadia Golf resort Belek "Absolutely magnificent!" May 2007 A TripAdvisor Member, scotland We have just returned from a weeks all inclusive holiday at the Arcadia Golf Resort in Belek. What can I say food was great. weather fantastic, service was also fantastic with a special mention to one waiter Fatih Sarag who was very helpfull and looked after us, the standard of the resort was very high. Only moan I have is about Belek town the shops where a bit pricy but besides that evrything else was fantastic will go back there no problemo at all
What a shame!
As per the last review, for the first few days we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel & it's facilities. However, I must concur that many of the russian guests are extremely rude & insistent and this largely spoiled the ambience of the hotel. The hotel has a lot of good points but also several bad. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There is a wide variety of food available but the queues can be horrendous & often the buffet food was lukewarm. You have to queue for most drinks when there could easily be a self service system available for wine/beer as in many other a/i hotels. The hotel was extremely full and it was often difficult (actually impossible) to get a seat for the evening entertainment if you got there after 9pm. That said, the entertainment was pretty poor & often very inappropriate for children. The animation team did work very hard however. The a la carte restaurants (chinese & italian) were a welcome change. The food was excellent but the service a little slow. We did not try the japanese, turksh or bbq. The idea of burgers on the beach is a nice one, but again queues couyld be horrendous & there was only 1 member of staff serving & cooking (mad). The flat breads cooked freshly by the pool bar are delicious (again expect to queue). Similarly, there is little of interest in Belek, and compared to other turkish resorts it is very expensive. This could be a really lovely hotel and is mostly spoilt (through no fault of it's own) by rude, ignorant and ill mannered guests. We will not be returning.
Loved It.
Just got back after a 4 week stay, april and may. Good entertainment, hot meals or salads (take your pick). Friendly staff, most of whom speak English. Clean sandy beach and sunshine galore, could not ask for more.
not our cup of tea!
first impressions of the hotel were wonderful, the staff seemed really helpful, the room was bigger than we were expecting and because we arrived at the hotel at 11.30pm, we could even go down for mid-night soup! all seemed well for the 1st couple of days, the swimming pools were fantastic and the sunbathing areas were lovely. then we met the russians (no offence!), me and my husband have never been round russians before, plenty of germans but no russians, and to be perfectly honest, we never want to be around them again, we felt like we were 3rd class ie, russians, germans, then english, for example my husband was at the bar, he ordered our 2 drinks, the bar man picked up a glass, put ice in it, then a russian man came upto the bar, shouted what he wanted and the bar man put down our glass and served him his drinks then carried on with ours! normally if u hold a door open for some1 they acknowledge you in some way, u no, a nod of the head or a thank you! but dont expect this from the russians, if u go throu a door, your expected to give way and if any1 doesnt no..... they have NEVER heard of queing! might sound petty but day after day for 2 weeks, it gets quite annoying. we did complain about the bar man and how we felt, but i expect nothing got done about it as the lady we spoke to in customer relation said she would let us no what happened but she never got back to us, even thou we saw her most days. she even dealt with our next problem... i no that accidents happen and i am not sounding snobby but when ur in your room, u like to kick ur shoes off and walk round bare foot.... not in this room, we had gone out for the day (as many days just to get away from the hotel), when we got back my husband wanted a shower, he walked to the bathroom and stood on a piece of glass which punctured his heal and bled quite badly (not what u expect from a 5* hotel), as u can imagine i was not happy so i went to get the same woman from customer relations, not the most symapthetic person in the world but all the same she came up to our room to have a look and found a lot more glass over the floor, i even found some in the bath the next day!!! because i complained (i think!) we got a bottle of red wine and fruit, nice thought but not good enough. we have been in 3* hotels where the staff have been more caring and considerate. didnt think the location was brilliant, a LONG walk to ANYWHERE! and nothing to do when u get there. the nearest town is belek and if u go there for a bargain, dont bother, ALL the shops are a rip off. go to side on a day trip, its much much cheaper and a lovely place to visit. we have been to icmeler and alanya, THESE are both proper turkish resorts, they have more culture and charm by a long way than belek. as u can tell, not our cup of tea, and to use the expression of other english holiday makers there, we didnt like this 'all inclusive prison camp' and they were only there a week lol if u are like us and are down to earth people, i wouldnt recommend this hotel, or location, but if ur names vladimir! this is the place for u!!!!! needless to say we will not be returning lol
Great week in Belek
A group of 8 of us have just come back from Arcadia Hotel in Belek. The rooms are a really good size (nice strong shower) and it was a great touch to have bottles of water in your room every day. We were very lucky with the weather and got to use all the outside pools and slides. The hotel being on the beach is also a bonus. We were also lucky that on our last day the entertainment was outside and the bar by the pool was open for lunch (they served the most devine pizzas and chopped salads). We all found the food really nice and there was something for everyone and catered for vegetarians. We all joined in with the daytime activities and found the Animation Team really friendly and really good at encouraging us to join in, The evening shows were of a really good standard as well, especially the Moulin Rouge show. Some of our party played golf in nearby courses, and us girls made use of the hotel's spa facilities and enjoyed a Turkish massage amongst other things. There were a lot of footballers when we were there too but they were not loud and were in bed fairly early and not drunk as mentioned in previous reports. In particular, we found Jamie in Guest Relations to be really helpful for the many questions we had and also Kiki and Bonus in the Aminiation Team were brilliant. Would def come back to this hotel.

Thanks very much for your kind words. We encourage all our guests to fill in our guest questionnaires with comments - both positive and negative - to enable us to improve our service to you. Every comment and review of the hotel is read by senior management. We do have some sports teams here in Winter, but the summer season has begun now, all our outdoor facilities and restaurants are open until October, and the weather is nearly always warm and sunny - come and see for yourself! Thanks for reading this, Jamie Bedwell ARCADIA GUEST RELATIONS

A change from Icmeler.
My wife and i deceided that after twenty years of going to Icmeler { Marmaris }, we would try a new location. We LOVE Turkey and even though we have tried different countries, Turkey is a MUST for us. This hotel in Belek is fantastic. Our room was the best we have stayed in. Cleaned daily by the greatest maid. The food is plentiful and tasty. Please remember this is TURKEY. Dont expect bacon and sausages for breakfast. Your choice of food is amazing. Even vegetarians are well catered for. When we stayed in February there were a lot of football teams staying. Other than being woken by telephone one morning by a couple of drunken lads, telling us there was a party in their room, they kept themselves to themselves. Go see JAMIE or MAXINE at customer relations. VERY, VERY helpful and great to talk to. The entertainment was very poor, but the karaoke set up is the BEST i have seen in a hotel. If you like shopping BE WARNED.... it is a good ten minute walk to the town of Belek, with nothing to look at but woods. As with anywhere in Turkey, once at the shops YOU WILL GET HASSLED. Shame really; it is the only off putting thing in this great country. Still, they have to try to make a living. There is a market on a Saturday, and some great bargains can be had. The all inclusive drinks at this hotel are more than passable and the wine is EXCELLENT. All in all, this is a GREAT hotel with lots of facilities but to far from the shops.

Dear Madam/SIr, first of all we would like to thank you for your interest in our Hotel. Thank you so much for taking your free time and sharing your positive feedback concerning our hotel services with us and other readers via Tripadvisor. The only thing I wanted to presice - there is none at our Guest Relation Department called Maxime. So, I suggest you meant our helpful Jasmine. We'll be happy to see you in Limak Arcadia again. Kind regards, Anna Yiğit Guest Relations Manager

A Great Early Spring Holiday
A group of 8 adults - 4 played 3 very good rounds of golf - the weather was excellent - indoor pool fabulous - all staff helpful and friendly - rooms were large and clean - beds very comfortable - food and choice excellent - probably due to the amount of footballers in the hotel - which at times meant the bars were busy but at least we were not surrounded by the silver surfers all the time - we feel that this would be lovely in April/May when the outside pools would be open and the weather warmer - our stay was lovely and the weather far better than we expected - we would all go back to Arcadia.
2 star hotel - not 5 star
We booked this 5 star hotel through Thomas Cook. A week before we were due to travel we noticed that it had been marked down to 4 star. The room was extremely basic - in fact a travel lodge room would have been preferable. The hotel was packed with football teams who took over most of the lounge areas completely. It was a fully inclusive deal - the restaurant looked more like a school canteen, the tables were not cleaned and laid out, trying to get a drink in the restaurant was a waste of time. We were very very disappointed and would not go back.
