When when we checked in to the hotel our room was on the ground floor(room 115)and we had a hut right in the way of the view of the pool. It also had just a fridge in it, no kitchen. The bathroom was dirty and had a broken door on the shower and just looked cheap. You could see all the paint touch ups and peeling paint all over the one wall. We went for dinner right away, the plan was to eat in and relax as we had just arrived, but the food was not good at all. We went to the reception and asked if we could change our room as the view was the back of a hut. They changed it the next day and gave us a room on the top floor that was much better with a kitchen, high ceilings, a nice view front and back (room 345?). It also had a much better bathroom. Although in both rooms the beds were hard as rock, recommend that you put a blanket under the sheet to stop you going numb! The second room put us in a much better mood about our hols, it looks like they have built a new part and the rooms are much better in that section. I had seen that some one wrote on a review that the pool had just been redone but there were still a lot of small tiles missing from the pools, it would not take much to fix them. As said 20 min walk to the town. The kite surf beach is about 10 min walk and is nice. We ended up going out for meals every night as we could not eat the food. The breakfast was stone cold, I had toast every day for breakfast and a coffee as I could not eat anything else. At lunch all we could eat were salads, the lunch menu was the same every day. All in all you get what you pay for and the hotel needs some TLC. The food was not good at all and other people we spoke to also felt the same about the food. On the upside the second room was clean and good value for money and the people that work there were very nice. I don't think I would return to Corralejo, not much going on or to see.
- Advice: There is a steak house in music square that was really good.

Nice hotel, no complaints. Pools clean, restaurant was nice, food was ok, just as you would find at an all inclusive place.
Staff were nice, the maids pleasant. The rooms were cleaned about 4 days out of 7. changed towels 3 times in the week. Microwave and toaster and hobs in the little kitchen in the apartment.
There was entertainment on an evening but more for the young ones.
Only downfall is that its about 20mins walk from the town centre, but its only 3 euros in a cab. There is a waterpark up the road from the hotel.
All in all a nice hotel.

Hi everyone,
I stayed at the aloe club resort in june 2010 for a week with my mum.when i first got there i had mixed feelings about the hotel, from what i first saw i thought there wouldnt be anything for a kid my age (13), but as i started to look around properly i knew i would love it, and i was right!
I had a proper look around and it was amazing!5 pools 1 jacuzzi and two extra pools for staff at the back. They had a tennis court, archery and a playground/play club.
The food wasnt always amazing i must admit, some nights better than others.
the staff there were amazing! They were so kind!two people stick in my mind and that was maggie and jack!they were the b est staff there!
The pools are always cleaned everyday and familys will love it there!i know i did!the weather was good aswell it reached 34 degrees whilst i was there! had an amazing tan!
I highly recomend this hotel for all ages!
Hope i have been a help for people! : )

Stayed in the Aloe Club in May 2010 and was very pleased with it. Have gone to Corralejo many times over the years and always enjoyed it. We were familier with the area, but that was our first time to stay at that resort, so liked the idea it is a bit out of the town and a good walk to the beach (dunes) although a free bus is provided every morning. We stayed self catering as we like to be free to eat at different places. We got stuck for two days with the ash cloud, which ment time spent trying to get flights home, but the receptionist was fantastic, her name is Alexandra and she was very helpfull. We will be staying there again and would recommend it.

They promised heated pool 22 dgr - what a joke! 1 week where we were unabe to go into the swimmingpools not so funny! Fuerteventura is a stormy place and don't expect to find shelter for the wind around the pool-area. Rooms needs renovation, painting - and if you like the water anything but brown - don't go. You like your drinks in plastic cups? Go for it!
- Advice: Why Fuerteventura? Shops are already closed - nothing grows here except heavy winds....
- Activities: I think itdoesn't excist

Great place. Predominantly Scandinavian and Italian but they all have a knowledge of English. I took my two sons 13 and 17 all inclusive and we all enjoyed and were impressed.
Activities were provided all day, every day and there was also the football game which brings all nationalities together. They were involved with all the activities listed and even participated in the evening shows on a couple of occasions in the evening.
Maid service was excellent, towels changed every day, free pool towels, and bedding changed alternate days.
Food was good quality, seafood, fish, pork, steak, really everything you would expect. There were 12 hot meals each meal and chefs were on hand every meal to cook fish, meat, or squid in front of you. Loads of variety. If you enjoy European cuisine you won’t be disappointed.
Staff were great and looked after us very well and we were ENGLISH. Pools are great, seven in total.
I would recommend and return. The reason there are few English is that no English tour operator has a presence.
Final word is that the Italians and Spanish have a reputation for good food and wine and like kids. Enough said.

As an independent, single traveller, I thought this hotel was great, especially as I had booked it very cheap as a self catering holiday, then when I got there I discovered that it was all inclusive for everyone!
They don’t have any wrist bands or cards or any forms of identifying the AI guests, so all guests can use the restaurant and bar freely.
I think that is because they normally advertise this only in Italy as a fully AI resort. It seems that in their quiet times, when it isn’t full, they advertise in the UK as AI or SC, but when you get there, there is no difference.
I thought the food was fine (well, I can hardly complain as I didn’t pay for it!) - It was decent, basic food. There was always a choice of quite a few main courses, and always a good selection at the salad bar too, and I really enjoyed it.
The Italian entertainment staff were very friendly; they didn’t speak much English but still tried to chat a bit.
They didn’t include the Brits in the activities, but who can blame them as some of the Brits were very grumpy about it being all in Italian. It didn’t bother me; I just lay by the pool and read my book!
The room was very clean and the maid came in most days. I was there for two weeks, and I think there were only about 3 days when she didn’t come in.
Other peoples' comments about the bar times in the evening were correct - the bar/restaurant closes at 9.30pm, and the other bar opens at 10 - very strange!
Most people just stocked up on drinks at 9.30 then sat and drank them until the other bar opened. Not a problem as they do tell you this when you check in.
There is a free hotel bus to one of the fantastic white sandy beaches (on the way to the dunes); this runs twice a day there and back, so you can go for just a morning or afternoon if you want.
The beach IS very close by, I think other people who said there wasn’t one for 1-2 miles didn’t realise it was there. I found it just by exploring.
Once you get to it, 5 mins walk away from the hotel in the direction of the sea, you can then walk all the way into the town on the beach/beach path, about half an hour or less, it’s a lovely walk.
I would definitely go there again.

The previous reviews of this complex are completely and utterly correct.
Our holiday was over Xmas & New Year so you can imagine, if my husband had not organised for us to go in the bar room in the evenings, we would still be sitting outside in the cold now, he held a sit-in in the restaurant until someone opened up the bar room.
When I say bar room, it is a little room with approx 7 tables, not cleaned because only the English use it. No stereo, unless Alfredo decided to join us, we nicknamed him Alfresco because he always kept us outside.
The complex is nice, but it is still being advertised as being 400m from the beach, when it is not, it is more like 2 miles from the town and the beach.
There is no tapas bar as advertised. There is no all day snack bar as advertised, there is a snack cabinet on the bar, if they remember to fill it up, but you would not eat what was in it, because everyone had their hands in there.
There is absolutely no entertainment unless you get your entertainment from watching the Italians make complete fools of themselves.
For the Italians, it must be the best holiday ever, because the staff there fall over backwards to either serve them or entertain them, none of the staff speak English, not their fault, Blu Club is an Italian Entertainment company.
When we were there, they did let the non Italian kids join in, but the poor little mites did not understand any of them.
The maid service is much hit & miss, some people said they were very good, we did not find this, I have never met such lazy cleaners, hence it is the first time we have never left the maid a tip.
The food was not that bad, bit samish everyday, but we have had worse elsewhere. If you don’t like the food, there is a very good stake house called Blue Jeans in the town, pricey, but really good.
A bit more local is the Flintstone bar/cafe run by miserable English people who charge over the top for their food & drink. Over €6 Euro for a jacket potato & fillings etc.
Anyway, for the Italians it is a great place, for the English, please save your money and go elsewhere.
However, we met some very nice people there, some we are still in touch with.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It should be a 1-2 star not a 3.
The hotel is all Italian speaking, no English, no kids entertainment, no adult entertainment.
The evening bar 10pm till midnight, was just a room, no music, again an Italian speaking barman, NO atmosphere
Pools (4 of them), were so cold, no one was in them the whole 2 weeks we were there, the maids were very poor.
FOOD, well if you can imagine the worst school dinners ever and add chips, at least 50 people were moved from there whilst we stayed there, we were moved from another hotel, which was over booked so there was no where for us to go!
NO beach within 400 meters that was the dunes, no swimming allowed, and town centre was at least 20-30 mins away, down 3 very busy roads.
The hotel is not catered in the slightest for English or any other nationality apart from Italian. They are rude, things don’t run off each other, we had gaps from the evening restaurant closing to the evening bar opening, so you had to sit outside in the cold evening wind.
Nothing for the kids to do, or anything to play with, even the pools were too cold for them.
I wouldn’t even use this as a base, it’s just awful in everyway possible, and I never complain about holidays, but this was bad from start to finish.
People were arriving and leaving that night. It was a special New Year holiday for us, but the situation didn’t completely ruin it.
We spent more money going out all the time, you just couldn’t eat there. Please don’t stay here.

Have just returned from Aloe Club resort, we knew the location before we went and the walk into town was very pleasant, good value taxis are always available for the return trip at night. I celebrated my birthday whilst away and was kindly left a bottle of red wine in the apartment curtesy of the management. Very nice touch!!! The apartment was spacious and clean. Cannot comment on the food as we were only self catering, but no one looked like they were starving there!! Would recommend the resort and will cerainly be returning.
