Onat Apartments

We arrived at Onat Apartments at 6am to find our room was filthy and hadn’t been cleaned from the last occupiers. The toilet and shower was disgusting need I say more.... The stairs are lethal! At the top of the stairs there is a very unstable banister. For air conditioning, they were asking extortionate prices which was suddenly increased due to it being August!!!
The staff did try their best to help but they were all female mad!!! after whatever they could get. The pool surround was very slippery and several people fell over whilst we were there. One of the pool lights kept coming out in the water...........electrocution came to mind. The owner was inhospitable. The staff hounded us everyday to eat there or drink there. The little cooker was only issued once I requested it, the towels and sheets were only changed if you kept asking the cleaners. The cleaners kept their work to a minimum. Our room was certainly not cleaned everyday.
We will not be going to the Onat Apartments ever again, we will in time go back to Turkey, it is a beautiful place.
The Goldtrail rep was very unhelpful, and unwilling to put herself out for any of us.

Never again shall I book a holiday with goldtrail. These apartments were dirty, never had bedding changed although requested frequently, towels looked like they had been used by the whole of Icmeler. The stairs in the rooms and the pool area were a health hazard and not suitable for adults never mind children. The rep was unhelpful, evasive, and rude.
The owner made a woman on her own, with 3children leave her room the night before she was due to leave with no where to go as she told other guests that they could use the pool at the apartments around the corner. It is not 500m to the beach more like one and a half miles, at least. There was no games room or billiards as described by goldtrail. If you have already booked to go to the onat change it, the extra cost you may have in doing so will be worth it, otherwise you will have an even bigger nightmare when you arrive.
Icmeler itself is a great resort, clean beach and plenty of places to eat and drink. The waterfall restaurant is excellent as is the Bart Simpson’s and Selam restaurants. A good value for money resort. just avoid the Onat apartments. Had to give a rating of 1 as I cant give zero.

What an absolute disaster, as mentioned by previous clients Goldtrail have ALOT to answer for. Firstly when arriving at Dalaman Airport exhausted at 3 am we find that Onat have no room for us and we are being moved to a 2* accommodation - Castle apartments. which was shoddy. The Rep told us she couldn’t move us as there was no room. We weren’t having any of it and pestered until we were moved a day and a half later. whilst staying at Onat apartments, I encountered a hospital trip where i was stung by a wasp and carted off, constantly pestered by the sex mad staff. The manager who tried to stop us leaving the resort because he was obsessed with my friend. racially discriminated by one of the acting staff there at 7 am in the morning for sitting and talking with my friends, witnessed rows after rows with the customers and management. The clients knew the ongoings of the hotel’s financial situation because it was so openly discussed! is that professional? There was talk of Onat being shut down because it was so shoddy. Hearing that while your staying there is not at all comforting. On my last day one of the staff who became obsessed with me upset me by crowding me constantly and making inappropriate gestures let himself into my room and tried to apologise whilst all my family were sleeping. You can imagine the embarrassment. I’m only 18, so I had to answer to my family what was going on at 5am in the morning. It’s just absolutely outrageous. How Goldtrail and Onat can even get away with this is beyond me. How can Goldtrail be a representative for a nut house? Never Ever booking with these people again. Every person I met on holiday who had booked with Goldtrail had their Holiday ruined in one way or another. For all the mishaps and ruinings Goldtrail should compensate in one way or another. The only highlight of my holiday was meeting a few people at Onat who made me stay sane at Onat! otherwise would have been on first flight back to London. If you can survive Onat, you can survive anything!!

This place was totally awful. No facilities for children. Noisy music constantly blared from a system with damaged speakers. The apartments were never cleaned properly, only once in the two weeks we were there, despite a sign saying that they should be cleaned twice a week.
The owner never spoke to us only to ask for money for the air-conditioning which was extortionate. The shower tray was blocked with scum and hair and constantly flooded, no lock on the balcony door, dangerous stairs. Hilts we were there 5 ambulances were called to deal with clients who fell or were in need of treatment. its a tip. No proper kitchenette.

I’ve only just come back from visiting the Onat apartments with my husband mum and my two year old daughter the Onat Apartments was a BIG disappointment to us.
The rooms were very dirty as mentioned by previous holiday makers the stairs were a death trap especially for small children there was no such thing as banisters you could easily walk out the shower and slip and you’d be facing a long fall down the stairs or loft stairs would be more suited!! One thing I can say is that the Staff were amazing they really put their necks out to help the guests feel welcome and at ease and most of all to have fun!
I wouldn’t fault the waiters in any way, if anything they made stay for us! One thing I found out is that Goldtrail have alot to answer for they advertise the apartments in which ever way they like to make it appealing for holiday makers then the manageress gets all the stick where she has nothing to do with what they advertise in there brochures! I will most definitely not be travelling with Goldtrail again, as my luggage didn’t turn up when I arrived at Dalaman airport my rep was supposed to be on the case, happens to be I met some friends from England which are from Turkey, they helped get my luggage back and my rep just says still no joy, she didn’t even bother trying to help!
Please don’t let this put you off Icmeler as its an amazing place, I will def be hoping to go back next year, just with a different tour operator and be staying in a different apartment.

When my family arrived at the Onat apartments we expected it to be a very nice place to stay for the week. We believed this, as the man who greeted us was very polite and took our luggage to the room. When we walked into our apartment we were met by an awful smell. There were bars on the windows so we were like prisoners. There was blood on the sheets as well as dirt. The shower had mould up the walls and there was wires hanging from the ceiling. We were very upset and complained. Nothing was done until we spoke to the English rep for the second time. One of my family members slipped in the bathroom and was bruised for the whole holiday. I cannot complain about the staff members as they were friendly, but sometimes we felt intimidated by them. We would never choose to live like that for an other hour, never mind the week!

What can I say about the Onat (oh no) apartments the rooms are dirty and dangerous the stairs leading to the bedroom are a death trap.
It’s a loft ladder than a set of stairs. The maids don’t do much other than walkabout and sweep the floor. If you want clean bedding and towels don’t wait for the maid get them your self. As for downstairs the bar area is not bad the pool is a good size but round the edge very very dangerous when wet.
In the brochure it shows green matting round the pool this doesn't exist and never has. the only good thing I can say about the Onat is the waiters are friendly and willing to help .ps. always check your bill when paying to make sure your only paying for what you have had!

Icmeler is a beautiful venue and very much preferable to its larger cousin Marmaris.
The Onat appartments themselves cannot be faulted for the friendliness of the staff and their commitment to the guests. They do their very best to make you feel welcome. Its one down point would be the distance from the beach, DO NOT be mislead by the fact that this is 750m from the beach IT SIMPLY ISN'T!
The beautiful beach is a good 20minute walk from the appartments-albeit a very pleasant walk through Tree lined sun baked streets! The general hygiene and cleanliness is OK but this seemed to depend on whether the cleaner is in a good mood or not. I would agree that the stairs in upstairs rooms are dangerous if you have small children.
If value for money in a lovely surroundings is what you are looking for, and you don’t mind basic then this is for you. Lets face it self-catering means you don’t spend that much time in the room. This place is nothing fancy but if you are not fussy it is fine.
