Stayed at this hotel 3 times now, not because it is great, only that its the best the Island has to offer.
The accommodation is good and is great value for money this time of the year, about £40 B&B - not bad for 5 star hotel.
Pools, sunbeds etc all good.
The food is better in some of the local restaurants, do give them a try.

We chose a 5* hotel with supposed excellent restaurants as we love good food and wine.
We were very unhappy as the food was all packet rubbish, and I know as I'm a Chef myself. The 'homemade' Gnocchi was the same as Tesco's!
The pool was beautiful although lacking in loungers. The rooms were ok but definitely not 5* quality.
We had several spa treatments which ended up with my partner feeling extremely ill afterwards, due to excessive temperatures in the massage pools and no warning beforehand that the jets could cause severe bruising.
The Island itself was lovely but you have to watch out for local police officials, who get money out of you for supposed driving offences, if you choose to drive that is.
Julian’s restaurant just round the corner from Kempinski's was a God send-beautiful fresh fish, wonderful service and reasonable prices.

I'm the kind of guy that, no matter where I go, no matter what I do, I see stuff that 'could be done better'. I know, a nasty habit that I try to surpress, and I manage not to share my thoughts all the time ;-)
We spent 3 days in the hotel with partner in 2 small kids in september 2010, now I'm looking to rebook for another short break - thought I briefly summarize my previous experience with you: If I was to take over the hotel, I wouldn't know what to improve., it was simply excellent!
