Marcus and the other staff were great and extremely helpful and friendly. A large group of Israelis were disruptive while we were there. Marcus and the other staff took no messing and showed them the door!
Rooms were basic and air conditioning worked out at about £30 for a fortnight.
Food in the restaurant was good quality and reasonably priced with good sized portions.
Nice position if you don’t want to be constantly listening club music and people throwing up.
Marcus and the staff make this accommodation worth returning to. Steps to some of the apartments could be a problem for less active people.

I am a travel agent and had actually worked in Ayia Napa in 2003 so in July I was looking for somewhere simple to stay for a 2week visit to see my old work friends in Ayia Napa.
I was very surprised when we arrived as overall the apartment was much better than it appeared to look in the brochure. On entering the reception we were instantly welcomed by a warm and friendly chap who helped us to our rooms. We opened our apartment to find a cockroach but hey after working there cockroaches will get into even the top notch hotels!!!!
The room was large and fairly clean and contained enough for a 2 week holiday, the only problem we did have was with the air conditioning-it didn’t work but within minutes of reporting to reception they had maintenance in fixing it....excellent! The apartments were spread out in blocks of 3 floors with pretty shrubs etc outlining the paths to and from the blocks. The pool was a reasonable size with a lovely pool side bar and a very friendly bunch of staff. The hotel even had a waiter service restaurant with lovely food to choose from.
In the evenings there was always something on whether that was karaoke (yep I became the sad karaoke queen for the bar), Elvis nights and all the other cheesy stuff that you enjoy after a few drinks on holiday. The bar staff were crazy- I’ve never laughed so much and by the end of the 2 weeks it was like we had known everyone for years. There was such a great atmosphere, the apartments had such a range of age groups from families to young lads, couples but everyone got on.
The only negative about the apartments is that they attract alot of Israelies who can be quite annoying-if you go do not let your lilos loose as they like to steal them and pop them. To walk to the beach and the main square in Ayia Napa took less than 10 mins-Please if your there have a drink in my bar Pirates where I worked. The rooms were cleaned pretty much every day and what was nice is that the apartments are near enough to the centre of Ayia Napa but far enough away to not be boomed out by the clubs-in fact the roads as you come out of the hotel have some really nice traditional Greek restaurants which are quite nice to go to if you do not want a heavy night.
Also literally next door to the poolside bar you have a shop which sells everything you will need so if your self catering you can get all your basics there and very cheap. I hope this helps-I will go back there in 2006 as I loved there location and were just right. They are probably more suited to younger groups but families with teenagers would probably enjoy them just as much.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks and had a great time. We normally stay in 4 star hotels but were "roughing it" on this occasion so we did not expect too much. The accommodation was quite basic and in need of some decoration but was cleaned regularly and did what we required - give us a place to sleep/shower and have a light snack.
The kitchen was almost useless so people wishing to really "self cater" may find this a problem, eating out is much easier!!!
Can be noisy from the complex pool bar if you are an early bedder - bring the earplugs!!
All in all I would say do not expect too much and you will not be disappointed.

We arrived at 2am, not happy at first with the room as the shower and fridge were broken, but they were soon fixed.
The owner Markus was very friendly and welcoming as well as all the staff, the maids cleaned everyday and we had fresh towels every 2 days.
The walk into the main square was only a 5 - 10 min walk away.
A must when visiting Ayia Napa is to visit Nissi bay, the beach is fantastic with clear blue waters, many water sports and music all day.
We had a fantastic time in Cyprus and will be going back to Melissi apartments in the near future.

We arrived at 6.00am to find dodgy stains on the floor of our apartment and blood spots and chewing gum on bed sheets!! Luckily we only slept there and didn’t spend any other time there. The hotel is a fair work to the centre, which may suit some however a taxi only cost 4cyp. All the staff were very friendly really couldn’t fault them at all!
However the rep jenny left little to be desired. After ending up in hospital with stitches in my foot (someone smashed a glass in a club!) I didn’t have clue where the hospital was to get them taken out so went in search of jenny 4 times only she was never anywhere to be found! After going to another private hospital I finally met up with the elusive jenny in a bar one night and her only comment was that I should of come to the welcome meeting (bearing in mind we arrived at 6.00am and welcome meeting was at 9.00am) and she also said she wasn’t a doctor how should she know where I was to go!!
As I was a rep last year in Spain I know that even the worst rep shouldn’t talk to customers like that and should at least know where a hospital is!!
All in all we did have a brilliant holiday despite the dodgy apartment and the clever rep!!
I will definitely be returning to Cyprus hopefully to work and I would recommend tsokkos holiday apartments or tasia Marie gardens (we had friends staying there).

Just stayed at the Melissi apartments for one week, rooms nicely decorated, furnished and clean, staff very helpful and friendly, excellent location near to the beach and 10-15 minute walk to centre of Ayia Napa.
Would recommend for a family holiday, we really enjoyed our stay and would go back tomorrow. Air conditioning was free also safety deposit box in room. I think these apartments must have been redecorated and furnished since the comments of 2005 as we were really pleased
However if you wanted to self cater you may struggle with the 2 rings on the kitchen sinks draining board! We were half board and couldn't complain about the hotel food.
