Hotel Description:

Tsokkos Holiday Apartments is located within close proximity of the resort’s many bars and discos, not far from Ayia Napa’s beautiful sandy beaches. A modern complex with 211 apartments, has a very welcoming and lively atmosphere. Even though the nearest beach is just a short walk away, many people prefer to laze around the pool under the sizzling Cypriot sun.

" unless you're sleeping by the pool... "

I just returned from Ayia Napa yesterday after spending the week at Tsokkos i'm not sure i really want to go back, at least if i do im much more willing to pay more money for the accomodation.
When we arrived there was mould on the corridor walls, a patch measuring about 1.5metres of mould/damp on our bathroom wall/ceiling, hairs in the bath and in the beds, as well as the sofa falling apart and half the balcony falling apart. Now i know i shouldnt complain after only spending £200 between 4 of us for the whole week but after witnessing the maids "cleaning" our hotel room ( which consisted of leaving hairs over the floor and then mopping the floor with what smelled like an old dead dog...the smell remained even after they left... ) on the plus side the hotel seemed to have spent all their money doing up the swimming pool which to be fair was nice enough... the "24 hour hotel supermarket" was infact an old battered empty building, and the receptionist was unfriendly on arrival and a different receptionist was extremely rude when we were checking out answering the phone and ignoring us whilst halfway through serving us. However the bar staff were quite friendly. the only postive thing really bout this hotel is the location in regards to bars and clubs. Disgusting.

Advice: lively place, lovely beach but very little to see in regards to history etc.

Activities: euro bakery, zorbas bakery, la medici,

" Dont go here!!!!!! "

This place is a total [--]!!!! We went to our rooms where we found pubic hairs on the beds and on the floors and the bed sheets were dirty and everything was very dirty.
The shower was about to fall apart, and we got no cleaners or no towels for showering.
We went to the reception to tell the receptionist and she did not care. She told us there was nothing they could do about it and i was like "WAT!?"
Overall this place is a dump, even the water in the pool was dirty, it was full of dirt!
There was plasters on our walls in the apartment so therefore im taking it that nobody tried to clean this room!
Never ever go to these apartments!!!,all they care about is money, not hospitality or catering!!!
This is the worst place ive ever stayed in!!

Advice: Lovely weather

Activities: Craigs bar, tommys bar

" unreal "

my opinion of these apartments are that they are unreal...probably the best in ayia napa...or close to it. the music during the day as brilliant and the barstaff are sexy :P.. the women that were there whn i was there were class. lethal atmosphere, the rooms are just average...never slept in them...came home at 9 in the morning and lay by the pool. class :D but the pool and everything else makes up for the rooms. only thing i was annoyed with was that you cannot bring your own drink from the shop into pool..you have to buy one from the bar..brutal. but ye i had fun there..and il defo be returnin sooner than later ;)

" FAMILIES STAY AWAY! "

Well we went with a group of around 12 friends mixed sex and overall had a good time at the apartments. The rooms are basic but in general clean. On arrival however I was happy to find a used condom tied to the underneath of my mattress. Having dealt with that things were a little more pleasant.
Maid's clean the room's and do some of the washing up if you leave it in a reasonable state every morning and are friendly considering what they have to go through.
On the 5th and 6th nights various amounts of human poo were thrown around the corridors outside our appartments and this wasn't cleaned up for around 24 hours resulting in a god awful smell due to the heat. Luckily there was an alternate exit from the appartments meaning we could avoid passing that particular section.
THESE APARTMENTS ARE MOST CERTAINLY NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT BRING CHILDREN!!!
A supermarket is opposite the apartments and despite being pricey is extremely useful.
Overall for 18-25 year olds I'd say the apartments serve their general purpose as a base point for clubbing.

Advice: Clubbing and beach.

" Great value, lively hotel! "

Having booked a week for £87 I didn't expect much. However i was pleasantly surprised. The new pool area which was revamped in the winter is very very nice, with lots of poolside seating to accommodate the large pool itself. The music that plays throughout the day and in to the night is great (as long as your not expecting a peaceful holiday), and the bar is just as good. The rooms themselves come fully equipt with all the cooking utensils needed, and all have their own balcony. I would recommend the air conditioning at 5 Euro a night, as it is almost impossible to sleep with out it. I also suggest keeping wallet/money/valuables hidden as i know of people who had fairly substantial amounts of cash stolen from within their room, most likely by the maids. the location is awesome and the atmosphere is great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lively party filled holiday, with the age groups from around 18-30.

Advice: Party filled city that stays open 24 hours a day, would certainly go back.

" great value for money! "

this was a very good hotel.. the staff were so freindly and the hotel itself was not bad at all.. it was spacious clean and the new apartments were very modern.. the new pool area is amazing more like a 5* hotel and this is coming from a person who only stays in 5* hotels so it was a very nice suprise..The best thing about the hotel is its fantastic location it is 2 min away from the square with all the clubs and bars aswell as the restuarants.. the hotel is a 2 min taxi ride away from nissi beach which is also amazing.. i would not recomend this hotel to families or couples with young children as it is quiet loud at night and attracts mainly youngsters...this hotel is ideal for 18-30. overall i would definatley go back next year.. the hotel has changed alot and has become much more modern.. it is great value for money! x

Advice: mainly for young people, alot of drinking during the day and rather expensive so take lots of money!

Activities: all the water sports at nissi beach! , mexican restuanrt and waterworld!

" Triple H "

Walked into the tsokkos, first thing we see is these jermaine beckfords lookalike, so we though we were in luxury, then we see a retired wrestler behind the receptionist desk, no other then TRIPLE H, so then we think, ey up a retired wrestler working here it must be good... but yes we were wrong. we paid for air conditioning, and realised it was wasn't working for a week, so that was a good buy. You have to put the toilet paper you wiped yourself with in the BIN!, but seriosuly no-one deos not except the odd idiot. We had this naked man one night in our bath when we walked in on the first night, being sick everywhere, one bed was next to the toilet, so our friend was breathing in poo for the whole ngiht, not surpirsed he was ill. Good facilities to get signal for your phone, our friend was findin otu some results, and he had to go and sit on the toilet to find them out. DO WATER FOOTBALL PEOPLE ARE SO NICE, they kept spraying us in the face whilst we were trying to shoot. one of our pals shtipt one girl, then we found out she was in the complex, so good positive from the tsokkos, there was this boy who kept appearing in one our bedrooms, sitting down on the ebd in his boxers eating nuts, we never did find out why. One man ended up on our balcany, he got posiened then they threw him on our balacany so it was our responsibiltiy to look after him, ambulance are sick, good english. You may find the odd passport on the floor. Alot of posh people around the pool, with the hed in the pool and there body out the pool, trying to have a pint. And who can forget the DJ at the pool, thinking he's a good dj, but he was playing songs from the shiron.
IF you think ur holiday has been too funny and you want to calm down, then go to the ebach party, to him some idiot talk bout nothing funny. The maids were good, they came at good times, after a night out, the maid walks in the room at 8, but they understand good english if you don't want them in the room, just get the boy sleeping on the couch ebd to scream in bad english throwing pillows.
but all on all don't stay here
Yours Sincerly room 212

Advice: Go somwhere else

Activities: there were restaurants? best sightseeing was this naked man in our bathroom

" We have just got back from this... "

We have just got back from this hotel, if you can call it a hotel! We were assured TWICE by first choice that this hotel would be fine for our family even after telling them that we had heard/read bad reveiws online. We were assured once again that it would be fine!!!!! The day we arrived the first thing that stood out was the filthyness of the whole complex and the unusual miserableness of the staff. The room was infested with ants which one morning my wife and I were woke up with hundreds of them all over us. another morning my son (18months old) woke up covered in ants. Two days later he shouts 'look mum ants' and to my wifes astonishment this time it was 2 massive cockroaches. ok it's a hot country so you will get these horrible creatures but not in your room, we have stayed in ayia napa 3 years running in 3 different hotels and never have we had a cockroach in our room. this was soley down to the lack of cleaning and utter disregard for hygeine. The fence around the balcony was dangerous beyond belief it would probably have fallen if pushed, the door frame to the apartment was not even screwed in properly, there were termites eating the furniture. It was basically disgusting. The reason I'm bothering to write this is for any other family that gets lied to by first choice who tell you this place is suitable for familes IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES AT ALL no matter what they tell you THEY ARE LYING. Even the rep was getting pissed off with U.K travel agents sending families to this resort as he keeps telling them it is not suitable. Around the pool during the day was fine if you were 18 - 25 and wanted to drink swim and party all day to loud, explicit music. it wasn't only the music that was explicit the people around the pool were swearing, shouting, fighting, simulating/sometimes having sex right in front of everyone. After paying £2000 this is not the kind of holiday you want. Here are the options first chioce will give you once they have taken your money and got you out there:- option 1, move to a different hotel that's suitable, fine if you have a spare 1800 euros that they expect YOU to pay!!! or option 2, Go home. again fine if you have a spare 3 or 400 euros!! option 3, stay there and have an absolute nightmare for 2 weeks. To be honest that was not the end of the nightmare that i paid £2000 to be part of but i think any family who are thinking of coming to this hotel would hopefully have got the message from what i've said so far! Great for young piss heads but an absolute nightmare for families!

" A Group of 15 of us Stayed in the... "

A Group of 15 of us Stayed in the Tsokkos This year .. This was my Second Year to Ayia Napa and i Loved it .. You will not want to Come home :( .. The Hotel is VERY BASIC!.. When we Booked we were Told it was a Fabulous Hotel with a Huge Pool .. When We got there we soon realised not Eveything Looks like it Does in the Brochure ..

We had 2 Rooms .. One Large and One Small .. in both Rooms the Showers had Fallen off the Walls Which meant that when we Showered we had to Hold it .. a Bit Tricky When trying to Wash your Hair .. our Toilet Systern Didnt Fill up .. Which meant we had to take the shower head and put in in the top to fill it with water.. The Wardrobes were Covered in Graffiti .. obv from Previous Guests and our Balcony Looked onto the Bins out the back.

We had a Few Cockroaches aswell and although the maids came most days they came very early .. not great for 15 very hungover girls ..

However..

The Location was Fantastic .. literally a 2 min walk to the main square and the Pool was always mobbed during the day although we were never short of a sunbed or 15 .. the Pool bar is open all day until 5am and the staff in the bar are really nice ..

after being there for 2 weeks we did grow to live with it and to be fair if i was guaranteed a working toilet and shower i would go back .. but only if i was strapped for cash .. the location makes up for all the bad faults ..

all in all i would give it a 5 .. Most of this made up by the Pool, Location and Staff ..

its not a bad place to stay .. aslong as you know what your going to .

" Right. To Start With The Apartments... "

Right. To Start With The Apartments Were Ok-ay. They Weren't The Best. But They Were Good Enough For Us. All We Needed Was A Place To Sleep. The Night Life In Ayia Napa Is Immense. Loads Of Clubs And Bars To Go To. Get A Few Free Drinks From Each. The Castle Club Is Ledge. Its Like 5 Clubs In One. Great Fun. Back Tsokkos Though, It Was Still Great Fun, Two Pools And Loads Of Sun Beds. On Tuesdays, Friday And Saturdays There Is Kareoke For A Few Hours, Which Is Always Good Fun. The Bar Start Were Great. Got On Really Well With Them. Make Good Cocktails. Overall It Was A WICKED Holiday, And I Would Love To Go Back... Like NOW!
