Great value, lively hotel!
9 / 10
Jul 2009, safe11

Having booked a week for £87 I didn't expect much. However i was pleasantly surprised. The new pool area which was revamped in the winter is very very nice, with lots of poolside seating to accommodate the large pool itself. The music that plays throughout the day and in to the night is great (as long as your not expecting a peaceful holiday), and the bar is just as good. The rooms themselves come fully equipt with all the cooking utensils needed, and all have their own balcony. I would recommend the air conditioning at 5 Euro a night, as it is almost impossible to sleep with out it. I also suggest keeping wallet/money/valuables hidden as i know of people who had fairly substantial amounts of cash stolen from within their room, most likely by the maids. the location is awesome and the atmosphere is great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lively party filled holiday, with the age groups from around 18-30.

great value for money!

this was a very good hotel.. the staff were so freindly and the hotel itself was not bad at all.. it was spacious clean and the new apartments were very modern.. the new pool area is amazing more like a 5* hotel and this is coming from a person who only stays in 5* hotels so it was a very nice suprise..The best thing about the hotel is its fantastic location it is 2 min away from the square with all the clubs and bars aswell as the restuarants.. the hotel is a 2 min taxi ride away from nissi beach which is also amazing.. i would not recomend this hotel to families or couples with young children as it is quiet loud at night and attracts mainly youngsters...this hotel is ideal for 18-30. overall i would definatley go back next year.. the hotel has changed alot and has become much more modern.. it is great value for money! x

Most amazing holiday ever !!

Oct 2008, Natali_x

This was our second time back to ayia napa this year , happy to say was even better than the first time ! ok i agree that the apartments are a little bit basic but all you really need when u come to somewhere like napa is a place to sleep and to have a shower ! the room we stayed in was really clean and the maids tidyed it every day . both the pools are really nice , never short of sunbeds and are really lively . the apartments are literally a 2 min walk from the square which is helpful when trying to find ur way home in the early hours ! everyone was really friendly and would definately recommend it to anyone looking to go on a girls/lads holiday . so much so that im already booking to come back in 2009 !

We have just got back from this...
3 / 10
Oct 2008, Mr L Daly

We have just got back from this hotel, if you can call it a hotel! We were assured TWICE by first choice that this hotel would be fine for our family even after telling them that we had heard/read bad reveiws online. We were assured once again that it would be fine!!!!! The day we arrived the first thing that stood out was the filthyness of the whole complex and the unusual miserableness of the staff. The room was infested with ants which one morning my wife and I were woke up with hundreds of them all over us. another morning my son (18months old) woke up covered in ants. Two days later he shouts 'look mum ants' and to my wifes astonishment this time it was 2 massive cockroaches. ok it's a hot country so you will get these horrible creatures but not in your room, we have stayed in ayia napa 3 years running in 3 different hotels and never have we had a cockroach in our room. this was soley down to the lack of cleaning and utter disregard for hygeine. The fence around the balcony was dangerous beyond belief it would probably have fallen if pushed, the door frame to the apartment was not even screwed in properly, there were termites eating the furniture. It was basically disgusting. The reason I'm bothering to write this is for any other family that gets lied to by first choice who tell you this place is suitable for familes IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES AT ALL no matter what they tell you THEY ARE LYING. Even the rep was getting ****** off with U.K travel agents sending families to this resort as he keeps telling them it is not suitable. Around the pool during the day was fine if you were 18 - 25 and wanted to drink swim and party all day to loud, explicit music. it wasn't only the music that was explicit the people around the pool were swearing, shouting, fighting, simulating/sometimes having sex right in front of everyone. After paying £2000 this is not the kind of holiday you want. Here are the options first chioce will give you once they have taken your money and got you out there:- option 1, move to a different hotel that's suitable, fine if you have a spare 1800 euros that they expect YOU to pay!!! or option 2, Go home. again fine if you have a spare 3 or 400 euros!! option 3, stay there and have an absolute nightmare for 2 weeks. To be honest that was not the end of the nightmare that i paid £2000 to be part of but i think any family who are thinking of coming to this hotel would hopefully have got the message from what i've said so far! Great for young **** heads but an absolute nightmare for families!

A Group of 15 of us Stayed in the...

A Group of 15 of us Stayed in the Tsokkos This year .. This was my Second Year to Ayia Napa and i Loved it .. You will not want to Come home :( .. The Hotel is VERY BASIC!.. When we Booked we were Told it was a Fabulous Hotel with a Huge Pool .. When We got there we soon realised not Eveything Looks like it Does in the Brochure ..
We had 2 Rooms .. One Large and One Small .. in both Rooms the Showers had Fallen off the Walls Which meant that when we Showered we had to Hold it .. a Bit Tricky When trying to Wash your Hair .. our Toilet Systern Didnt Fill up .. Which meant we had to take the shower head and put in in the top to fill it with water.. The Wardrobes were Covered in Graffiti .. obv from Previous Guests and our Balcony Looked onto the Bins out the back.
We had a Few Cockroaches aswell and although the maids came most days they came very early .. not great for 15 very hungover girls ..
However..
The Location was Fantastic .. literally a 2 min walk to the main square and the Pool was always mobbed during the day although we were never short of a sunbed or 15 .. the Pool bar is open all day until 5am and the staff in the bar are really nice ..
after being there for 2 weeks we did grow to live with it and to be fair if i was guaranteed a working toilet and shower i would go back .. but only if i was strapped for cash .. the location makes up for all the bad faults ..
all in all i would give it a 5 .. Most of this made up by the Pool, Location and Staff ..
its not a bad place to stay .. aslong as you know what your going to .

Aug 2008, Miss E J. I Miss It

Right. To Start With The Apartments Were Ok-ay. They Weren't The Best. But They Were Good Enough For Us. All We Needed Was A Place To Sleep. The Night Life In Ayia Napa Is Immense. Loads Of Clubs And Bars To Go To. Get A Few Free Drinks From Each. The Castle Club Is Ledge. Its Like 5 Clubs In One. Great Fun. Back Tsokkos Though, It Was Still Great Fun, Two Pools And Loads Of Sun Beds. On Tuesdays, Friday And Saturdays There Is Kareoke For A Few Hours, Which Is Always Good Fun. The Bar Start Were Great. Got On Really Well With Them. Make Good Cocktails. Overall It Was A WICKED Holiday, And I Would Love To Go Back... Like NOW!

Well what can I say about this...

Aug 2008, Miss I LOVE AYIA NAPA!!!!

2 readers found this review helpful

Well what can I say about this place??? It's the BEST! As people have already commented, might not be luxury but it's the place for young people to be. A group of nine of us stayed there last year in June and loved it that much that we returned again in June-July 08! Even better this time round though, only five of us went back so we shared a two bedroomed apartment overlooking the main pool and bar.
Went on some of the trips this time organised by the reps (Twenty's, First Choice, Heatwave, etc) Deffo recommend the 'Booze Cruise', well worth it, cheap beer with swim stops and party on the top deck :)
Also did the beach party which is a good night except you don't go on the actual beach?!
Weather was fab - hitting 41 degrees somedays which locals said was unusual for the time of year. Staff on hotel reception were a bit pants but I didn't really take much notice of them to be honest. Rooms are spacious, aren't very modern but at the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Cleaners came in everyday and cleared all the rubbish - bless 'em! Music on throughout the day and a guy called 'Splash' doing entertainment/ games around the pool. Bar also open serving food and drink 24/7.
Hotel is about a two minute walk from the start of the square which is a BONUS! Restaurants and shops the opposite way just a few mins walk. Nissi beach is in walking distance although we got a taxi (Lazy ar$es!) Must go though - beach full of young peeps having a good time with music on all day long 8-D
Over all, fab place to be - would highly recommend it. 10/10 to Tsokkos Holiday Apartments -- See ya again soon!!

4 of us liverpool girls went on...

Jul 2008, Miss A Mccarthy

4 of us liverpool girls went on holiday here for two weeks at the end of june beginning of july, had an amazing time.
apartments themselves are a bit rubbish, but clean which is all you need really when going somwere like napa as you should never be staying in.
loved the pool bar with the lovely bar man david and his special cocktails, would reccomend them as they dead cheap compared to other places and we had a dead good laugh with other people staying at the apartments.
staff on reception were USELESS, the key to our apartment didnt work properly and we were locked out for 4 hours one night and nico (the older balding guy) on reception wouldnt help us and told us to sleep in someone elses room. we were fuming, but we ended up getting talking to our neighbours cos of it and it provided some laughs. the other creepy ginger fella on reception with his tight pants and greased back hair is something else, he is still giving me nightmares now, dont get on the wrong side of him as he gets your air con turned off which is like torture!
would defo go again as we had a complete scream x
