Lovely friendly and quiet family campsite - beach is huge - plenty of room - and the sea is gorgeous - perfect river coming off sea to left of beach - great for kids to play in safely - the town is lovely with great shops and markets - nice mix of restaurants - also close to towns if wanted

For a relaxing family holiday this park is perfect. an amazing beach directly outside the site is both fun for older kids who enjoy boogie boarding and safe and fun for younger kids to paddle in the georgous river that runs down the beach, catching tiny fish with a net will entertain them for hours. The 3 pools are also of a very good satndard and cater for all ages. Once evening comes the site has a lively atmosphere, with kids on bikes and families having bbqs on their pitches. This site has a large open well equiped play park to entertain toddlers and teenagers. By 10 30 pm it is dark and the site seems to quiet right down, appart from at the enterance where there is plenty to keep the teenagers occupied. By midnight the site is silent stewards patrol on bikes to make sure. The site supermarket is well stocked and well priced. It also must be pointed out that toilet/shower block was extremly clean. The local town of Noja is lovely with plenty of restraunts, however beware as not much english is spoken. Overall I cannot find fault with our holiday to playa joel camp site, even the ferry crossing from plymouth to santander was extreamly relaxing and enjoyable.
