A good site with excellent public transport links. No need to hire a car. Buses and trains ran to time and are very cheap.
Ryanair to Brescia airport from Stanstead was excellent and cheap. From Airport take the shuttle bus to Bescia town centre then public but straight to Bella Italia - the bus stops right outside the gate.
Local restaurants are very good, and on-site shop is well stocked for self-caterers.
I'll be visiting again.

We have just returned from a week long stay here. 2 adults and kids aged 8 and 10. We booked a tent with eurocamp and flew ryan air to verona brescia airport.
Firstly the airport. It is tiny! which was brilliant as we were the only flight so the baggage was instant! We transfered by taxi to the park which cost E72 one way and E64 the other. we landed and 2.40pm and were in our tent by 3.40pm!
The tent- has everything you need including tea and coffee facilities, gas stove, mop brush all cutlery and crockery and a bbq. The bed was comfy. It was hot in there tho as you would expect.
The shower blocks- Were the cleanest I have ever been in, totally hosed out and scrubbed daily , walls too. Plenty of them too.
The park- It is really big and the pools were too busy to swim any lengths in, there is the usual race for the beds in the morning and it was almost impossible to get beds until 4pm if you weren't there at 9am sharp to throw your towels on the beds (yes they actually did that!) Thankfully the lake is not too busy and was our prefered swimming place. Lovely temperature, you need swimming shoes tho as its sharp. All the shops sell everything you need for cooking up a feast.
The restaurants were ok, nothing special tho to be honest, the takeaway was very reasonable tho. On thursday night there was the loadest firework display I have ever heard over the lake, it was just amazing!
We went on the train to Verona which was wonderful. The ampi theatre is a must. It cost E6 for adults and E1 for kids over 8.
We can't comment on the entertainment as we didn't go to any of it prefering to bbq and play games in our gazebo. The aqua gym was fun tho.
All in all we would recommend and return.

Just returned from Bella Italia, I have 2 daughters aged 11 & 5 and the park has something for all of them. Play areas, bouncy castles, trampolines, arcade, kids club and entertainment every night, (apart from when the football was on). We stayed in a mobile home (vivaldi) with Thomson and the accomodation was much better than we expected. Sufficient room for every one with a great big fridge and air con. The only problem was on very warm days you couldn't use a hair dryer or iron when the air con was on otherwise the power tripped! Great reps - mature married couple who were about, but left you alone.
The pools are excellent one for everyone - good restaurants and only a 10 min walk from Preschieria along the lake where there are lots of restaurants and cafes.
The park is very clean and all the staff we encoutered were very friendly and very good at their jobs and all spoke very good english.
Thomson homes were good, Eurocamp and Keycamp were good but beware of the Siblu homes they did not look very nice and did not have good pitches.
The Park is great and Italy is perfection itself! Enjoy!

Bella Italia campsite is situated on Lake Garda just near Peschiera, lots of facilities and the on-site restaurants are really good.
The local scenery is breathtaking. Lots to do if you are on your own, in a couple, or with family. Water sports, bicycle hire, boat trips, walks, train trips you name it!
We would go again and would definitely recommend it.

We stopped at Bella Italia 23-30 Sep 2006 in a Bungalow Olendro (2 bungalows for 4 adults and 1 infant). Which on first impressions was quite basic but spacious but once you got used to it we really appreciated it and were very comfy. a small living area with dining table and basic kitchen (Just a hob to cook on) and two spacious bedrooms and bathroom. We had plenty of patio furniture which was very pleasant to sit on with pleasant surroundings. The bungalows had air conditioning which was great!
We used the pools several times as the weather was very good for the end of September! There were five big pools together and 3 smaller very pleasant and quieter pools by the apartment blocks which we used.
We used the restaurants on site. The Corta rigo nearest to the pools has very slow service. it can take you quite a while to get the attention of the waiters when you sit down, but once you get served the food was lovely and very reasonable priced, so we used it several times. The restaurant by the lake was very nice and good price too which we used once in the day and had a takeaway from one night (take away is available from both restaurants and you can choose from the full menu which was very handy!) The reason we didn’t use this again was due to the access to the restaurant only being by steps which was tricky with the pushchair. We also eat a couple of times in a restaurant on the lake just before the pleasant town of pescheira (about ten minutes walk out the camp) called Bella Vista which was excellent. highly recommended. Lovely service and food.
We went to Gardland which is about 5 minutes away in a taxi and is a very pleasant clean theme park. with excellent baby changing facilities and nursery with highchairs and baby food machines. We also went to Movie Studios which is a bout 10 minutes away by taxi and is only small but worth a visit. Especially the Horror House.
We had many walks around the camp and it was lovely. There were a few school trips of German students who were very boisterous and loud at night. It seemed to be the main week they all stay at Bella Italia. And if you were by them then I think you would have to move bungalows. Luckily we were not near them and where we were was lovely and quiet.
Every night after our meal we would come back and have a drink on the patio which was ace! A lot of people also did bbqs which is a good idea. There are a few shops on the site and a good supermarket. Although stocks were running low when we went as the camp was near to closing for the season but still very handy and reasonable price.
All in all we had an excellent time the camp was lovely and the views of the lake as you are walking down are very pretty. We can't wait to go back next year!!

Fantastic setting, and a great park....

Fantastic setting, and a great park. Even better than we'd expected. Eurocamp staff were very helpful and attentive. Other parc staff were very energetic with kids clubs and shows every day! The accommodation (Venezia) was a bit tight for 6 of us but the other families of 4 with us were fine.
The lake was magnificent and the children were in it every day, but the pools were icy cold, even in August! A really good value restaurant on site (the one near the hotel not the shops is recommended), decent bars and good evening entertainment, although very much aimed at the youngsters. A very good supermarket on site, with everything you'd need for your bar-b-q and a great greengrocers for fresh fruit. No need to go off site for provisions. The beach (pebbles) is fab, but buy the kids "rock shoes" (10 euros in town) to stop stubbed toes etc, and it's a lovely 1km walk into the pretty town of Peschiera.
Use the bus where possible, really cheap and I heard endless complaints about people who'd hired cars spending hours in traffic, which is a problem. We didn't even hire a car. Used a taxi service (people carriers for the larger family!) from Verona Airport - www.autoservizipresa.com - which was really reliable and friendly. We visited Verona, Sirmione and Bardolino, all very worthwhile, and had a great day at AquaParadis water park (free bus from outside the parc gates!).
We also found a great restaurant along the front towards Peschiera called Bellavista which, unbelievably, also did gluten free pizzas, which was a real bonus for my daughter who is coeliac. All in all one of the very best holidays we've ever had, and I can thoroughly recommend Lake Garda, Bella Italia parc and Eurocamp.

My husband, our 2 girls (ages 5 and 7), and I spent 1 week in this campsite from 12th-19th August this year. It is a super campsite and the location is spectacular.
We stayed in a Bungalow, very close to the largest swimming pool. The bungalow was clean, bright and spacious, and had air-conditioning. It was perfect for 4 of us. The bungalows are all well located - close to the pool, away from the noise (although the site goes quiet at 10.30pm when the entertainment ends!), and a nice walk (not more than 5mins) to the supermarket and the lake-front.
The town is beautiful. There is a great restaurant on site, close to the lake shore, and the food is tasty and very reasonably priced. 4 main courses, wine/beer / kids drinks, coffee & service - for less than €40.
There were many pools, lots of slides, and life-guards actively supervising all of them.
The front office is well staffed, with lots of staff speaking different languages.
If I had to find faults (which would be difficult), I would mention
(a) Not many English-speaking people - so our children did not make any friends.
(b) We arrived after 10pm and were unable to get sheets until the next day. Fortunately we had brought some ourselves just in case. However, if you plan to go there, perhaps you should ask them to specifically leave out some sheets for you.
Also, traffic in the area was terrible - nothing to do with the campsite though! A bit like rush-hour all day long. Perhaps because August is peak season. It made us try to do less - which was also a good thing. And there was plenty to do on the site.
There was thunder and lightening almost every night - and one day it rained like it had never rained before. So make sure to bring a rain coat.
Otherwsie, the weather was perfect - mid to high 20's.

This is a huge campsite, so it really depends what you're looking for. It's very busy, quite noisy but with loads of facilities. The animation programme is extensive, which is good for kids and the evening shows are quite professional. It's impossible to get round the pool in high season unless you like being packed in.
You walk straight out of the site onto the lakeside beach, which is much quieter than the campsite pool (we never used the pool area once because it was too busy). It's only a ten minute walk into Peschiera, which is a beautiful place. Lots to do, loads of shops and restaurants. Nothing is half as expensive as we expected except shorts (whisky/vodka) in bars but they're cheap in the supermarket.
The campsite has three restaurants, which are all really good but our favourite was Locanda (up past the football field in a yellow building). The staff are great, very friendly and the food is excellent and not expensive.
I wouldn't consider staying in one of the other tour operators mobile homes, as they ddin't have air-conditioning (except Thomson, which was always breaking). The temperature was 50 degrees some days, which was unbearable without air-con.

Fabulous resort based on the shores of Lake Garda.
Resort offers lovely swimming area and several different restaurants onsite. 10 minute walk alongside lake to local town.
Local town is gorgeous with lots of restaurants and a ferry service to most parts of the lake. Within easy reach of Verona. Miland and Venice. Definitely recommended!
