Eden Holiday Park
A particular favourite with watersports enthusiasts, this attractive, well-maintained parc also boasts wonderful views. Set on a steeply terraced hillside and enjoying spectacular lakeside views, Eden is truly a haven for all watersports enthusiasts.

We visited as one of 3 families with 6 children aged 10-14. Overall a very pleasant site with really beautiful views, particularly on the upper slopes where the caravans and tents are. Chalets are on the lower slopes and views are less good, though handy for the lower pool and bar. A very good location to tour the western part of the lake and away from the more commercial parts around Bardolino-Desenzano. A few minor complaints:
There is a great enclosed footy pitch at the top of the site, but it costs 40 Euro/hr, so its hardly used. There is nowhere else for the kids to play footy. The website advertises the facility but doesnt say it costs to use it.
Some of the staff were quite grumpy and often got orders for food/drink wrong, though the food was fine. Italians seemed grumpy in general in restaurants and bars, though the bar/restaurant at Baie de Vento were very good and the food great/well priced - go there.
There is next to no entertainment geared to teenage kids or others, including adults for that matter. The kids had no focal point at the site and just wandered around between the two bars and the lake pier on a night. We have been to a lot of campsites over the past 8 yrs and this was the worst for entertainment/the bar area. There was no atmosphere to speak of on an evening. The campsite is missing a trick here.
The lower pool has no adult slide and its a long walk to the upper pool.
The chalets are poorly equipped, though roomy and clean. There are 4 gas rings but no oven or microwave even. We had enough utensils between the 3 families but had to share bits. The verandas of the Chalets are in the shade most of the day.
Other points. Go to Limone and some of the other villages/towns on the west side of the lake. The views from the villages in the hills are great. It took us 3 hrs to get to the waterpark near Gardaland and it was heaving when we got there. The kids queued 1.25hr for some rides.

The most beautiful site I have visited, very steep site with canvas emplacements at the top. You are rewarded with fantastic views.
The market at Salo is truly Italian. Cheese, fish, bread etc.
Oly a small site, the top pool is better, wasn't busy when we went, park was a bit tatty but my kids loved it.
Good if you are after a bit of Italian life fairly peaceful.
The trip across the lke on the ferry is good to Malacine, go up the cable car, expensive but if you’ve got spare money and the weather is fine plus a head for heights, go for it.
