Ca'Savio Holiday Park

This was our second trip to Ca'Savio. We stayed here last May also and after that experience decided to go back. Booked a mobile home with Keycamp in 07 and while there found brochures for venue holidays so booked with them for this year. Very cheap, a week in May cost €237 although our mobile home with Venue was older, musty and we had a problem with ants. Despite this we really enjoyed it again. our family stayed in ca savio for 2 weeks, it was our first time to do this type of holiday and we have been converted. we brought our 3 kids aged 8,9,12 who had a wonderful time. the campsite is very well run in a relaxed way, always lots to do and right beside a long sandy beach. hired a car at marco polo airport but found that we didn't need it as much as we thought we would, much easier to get to venice by the ferry at punta sabbioni only 12 euro return will be going back next summer

very good for tennagers, plenty to do. there are two pools the second one off one of the aisles is less packed and more peaceful. went thro' eurocamp they were very helpful as was the lady at the information house thing, went out of her way to help. beach is on site and main centre of ca savio is less than 2/3 minutes walk and the shop is excellent well stocked and cheap. site enterainment allright however watch out for local posters as all the village have outdoor events involving fireworks and alsorts, when we were there they tried... more

We hadn't taken a camping holiday before with the 3 kids, preferring rented villas etc, but this area & site was recommended so we decided to try it out. We hired a car at Marco Polo which made the connection simple. I wouldn't be keen to try the public transport with small children & the number of changes & luggage etc. It would be ok with older children & if you were travelling light. First time we hired a campervan (motorhome) plugged in the sat nav and had a fabulous journey with the children. My boys are aged 15 & 6 and there was something for each of them. The staff are so friendly and speak several languages. The ccampsite catered for all ages and the pools were fantastic. We are not really beach lovers but this changed our mind. the site was practically on the beach and it as lovely sand and never overcrowded. Our family stayed at this campsite for 12 nights in early Augus, 3 kids (13, 10 and 5) and we had a great time. The campsite is quite large, but well run.There are two sets of pools, the first is close to the reception area where all the activity takes place, nightly entertainment, pub, restaurant and playground etc. The other set of pools was situated in a quieter area nad these closed from 1-3pm everyday. Really enjoyed this campsite, it was right on the beach and within walking distance to a small lively town. The bus service in the area was very good and the nearby port (5 minute bus journey) had water taxi's that brought you to the centre of Venice within 30mins.

Read the reviews before going gave a good bit of confidence so thought I would post one. Transferred from Marco Polo Airport by 2 ATVO buses, changed in Lido de Jesolo, to campsite for about £3 each took 2 1/2 hours, taxi approx 90 euros. Booked a taxi back through the campsite for 68 euros took 1 1/4 hours. The campsite, beach, restaurant,pools etc were very clean, supermarket well stocked. excellent site very good facilities, particularly impressed with the camp shop which was very well stocked and well run and good value. The camp is big!! it was at least a ten minute walk to the shop although there was a smaller shop closer for heavy stuff e.g water It was only five minutes from the beach which is fabulous, soft sand very gently sloping and water as warm as a bath. Can't fault any part of our holiday, even though I was six months pregent. It has got to be one of the best holidays we had last year, and we had three. A cruise to Spain with P&O not very good at all (and I worked for them) our trip to Italy and we wnet to Wales. Out of the lot I would return to Ca' Savio tomorrow without delay.
