We spent a week here, had reasonable weather & thoroughly enjoyed the site. The location of the site is great, on the shore of Lac de Chalain, and the pool complex is lovely, although because the whole site is terraced on the hillside, the pools can be a little breezy. The kids loved the layout of the site, with pitches arranged in terraces, which also meant that while the site is reasonably large, it still feels intimate.
The shop has a good range of goods, including English language newspapers and more than just the essential provisions. The restaurant was excellent if a little pricey, as was the bar, but you’re not on holiday every day, so we were happy enough!
The play area was great for the kids, aged 2, 8 & 10, close the bar!
The toilet/shower blocks were the best I’ve seen, including small baths for babies & small children who don’t like a shower! We were in a large holiday home, but I used the shower block most days for the space!
I would recommend this site to anyone.
