Me and my family have just arrived back from a fantastic 2 week stay at the Terezzamar Sun Suites in Porto Rico.
The appartments are quite spacious and the balconies are massive! We got all the basic things required although you did have to pay to get most channels on the tv and to get air con. Other than that they were great.
There was 1 main pool and a small kiddies pool situated on level 10.There was lots of sun beds but not enough parosols to go around. The pool area was very slippy so you have to be careful but other than that its great. The pool bar has great food but a little pricy! Though the breakfasts go on till 12 o'clock and their really nice.
The entertainments team (Dale,Lois and Annie) are fantastic!!!!They keep the kids and adults entertained all day long with round the pool activities then when it gets to 8 o'clock it's time for the mini disco with lots of songs and games followed by bingo and lucky 13!Then at 10 theres the proper entertainment with either professional singers or acts the entertaintment put on themselves!Whatever it's great. Also the Panorama Bar staff are great with a special mention to David who was fantastic all the time we were there!!!
It's only about a 5 min walk down to the main shopping centre which has lots of shops and food restaurants and bars.I recommend to eat at places that look busy because if they dont it usually means it isnt nice food! There are also a few mini golf courses to do which we loved to do a lot.If you want to get up to the Europa Centre it costs around 3 euros to get up to in a taxi but the bottom centre has a lot more places to shop and eat.
The only complaint I have to say is the reception staff are very rude and never have a smile on there faces but other than that we had a fantastic time and definately recommend the Terezzamar Sun Suites! We will definately be back next year!!!!

I have just got back from a 2 week holiday at the Sunsuites. This was our first time to Gran Canaria and we enjoyed every minute of it.
The apartments are very spacious, ideal for families and the balconies are massive. They whole complex is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The entertainers in the complex are fantastic, they always keep the kids entertained and the adults too!!
Make sure you are ready to do lots of walking though as Puerto Rico has lots of steps! But there isnt much need to leave the complex except to look around.
We spent a day at Amadores Beach and I would recommend it to everyone, although avoid the weekend!
I noticed some people have commented about the suncare advisors. I had a totally different experience with them. On about the third day of my holiday I came out in prickly heat. I had heard the suncare advisor talking and decided to go and speak to her. The advice she gave very good and she was very informative. I purchased the factor 15 and 8, the the aloe aftersun and the tea tree gel. All the creams worked really well and within three days my prickly heat had dissappeared and I could enjoy the rest of my holiday. I was sceptical at first but I am so pleased I spoke to her.
Overall my holiday was excellent and my two children really enjoyed too and made lots of friends whilst there. I would go back there again.

Food was alright in the restaurant pool bar was nice for lunch but a bit wexpensive for slush puppies and soft drinks. Happy hour on lots and plenty of pool activites for the kids and adults.

Just returned from a weeks self catering holiday at these apartments with husband and two daughters. Overall most comments I read here were a good representation of what we found. We stayed in the Royal Sunsuites block which is at the top of the hill the third of three blocks. There are three pools and on most days there was no problem obtaining sunbeds despite the no reserving rule (only one problem on a Sunday when quite a few Spanish appear, don't know if they are locals just making use of the pools etc) Our room was very clean although a little small for 4 people of adult size but fairly comfortable. Air conditioning is a must and could be hire for approx 30+ euros a week (why it does not come free I don't know?, well I do really its just another way of getting more money from you)!! Food round the pool was okay although very pricey as was the on site supermarket. Hipodino and the Spar supermarkets in the commercial centre are the best if you can run the gauntlet of 79 steps or take the lift down. Be very careful if you have youngsters who like flicking through the TV channels after 10pm as there is a hard core porn channel on two channels down from SKY News and whilst you are sitting on the balcony enjoying a drink they could be watching things that those even with an open mind might find eye opening! The PR's in the Commercial centre are a real pain its best just to ignor them then they think you can't speak English or just tell them to "go forth" etc. We went to one restaurant on the beach one evening and the food was crap, steer well clear I had a T Bone which was rottern. Also wild cats running round your feet all the time you are eating. Puerto Rico? okay, don't think I would go there again as its the same every night etc. As for the apartments (The Royal one's that is don't know about the other two blocks) I would give them 8/10 for cleanliness 7/10 for location 6/10 for entertainment

This is the second time to these apartments and once again we had a wonderful holiday. Although I have a couple of gripes this time round. The pool area whilst spacious had a lack of sunbeds this year resulting in all of the sunbeds and parasols being reserved and then no one actually using them all day. It meant that families with children were forced to sit out in the sun until someone stole other peoples sunbeds and parasols. The hotel needs to stop this. Also we have requested late checkout twice now and both times have been told it is unavailable, the first time we were told that we could not get it because we didn't have children with us and this time told the hotel was too busy. Not the hotel's fault but there were also a number of noisy guests at the hotel which meant very disturbed nights of sleep throughout our stay. However, the weather was fantastic and despite the above, we would return to the hotel again.

hi just returned yesterday after a week here, we had a fabulous time there. apartments were lovely, everything we expected after reading the reviews. we were not disappointed . we stayed in the suites, which had a fan in each room which was very welcoming each night as tempertures reached 45 degrees.the entertainment team dave and laura are excellent based in the sullivans bar area. we met so many lovely people there. please take note of my only complaint not regarding the hotel. the suncare advisors whom speak everyday at approx 3pm. be very weary of their products as i paid out 120 euros on creams and lotions for after suncare. i broke out in the most awful rash and when i approached the rep and her supervisor their only suggestion was to finish my week in my apartment out of the sun. the aloa vera was the only relief i got and they could,nt even be bothered to offer me a bottle of this, they were both shocked at my body rash, but not enought to offer me any money back or a bottle of aloa. that night i got talking to a few people who had similar problems. dont be fooled by them like me.
there are two restaurants i would highly reccomd and they are belice on amadores beach which is well worth the taxi fare or walk and gallerio steak house, we only ever eat in therse restaurants. to anyone thinking of going there enjoy yourself you wont be dissapointed.

I'm in my thirties, went with my partner and a friend.. Great holiday, apartments were great, balcony huge, staff helpful & entertainment painfull but fun at the same time. The pool area is good fun, "dico Dave" and his girlfriend Lora always keep the entertainment up, so no chance to get bored..whilst it is a bit cheesey it is part of the experience and memorable....remember to pick those lucky balls! "Whoopa". Its a 2 minute walk to the lively plaza, so not as much walking as the sunshine suites which are further up the hill. Would defo go back again...and the happy hours 4-5 and 10-11 worked a treat.

We recently stayed at the Terraza Mar Sun Suites in Puerto Rico for 1 week self catering. We would definitely stay there again. The accommodation was clean, ample sized and catered for all our needs. There was hot water readily available and a large enclosed shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet. The kitchen was basic and missing an oven, however there was a hob which consisted of 2 rings and also a Microwave oven.
Initially we were worried about being far away from the beach as it looked like that on the map; however it was within close walking distance (5 minutes). There are 2 main beaches in Puerto Rico, one already mentioned. Another which is a 30 walk or a cheap cab ride away. This beach is famous for its imported sand from Miami, but the other beach is more than adequate. There were plenty of sun loungers on the beach for hire at a cost of 2.5 Euro per person, with an additional cost for a parasol.
Within a 3 minute walk from the hotel there is a large shopping complex with a SPAR shop and another local supermarket.. TIP use the Spar its much cheaper!. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars located in this complex. (Pint of beer averages 3 Euros, Wine 2.5)
The Hotel has a great pool located on the 10th floor, The Hotel Balcony’s are MASSIVE as per other reviews. You could easily spend your whole day just on the balcony, which are relatively secluded. These are equipped with 2 padded sun loungers and table and chairs.
The Hotel has entertainment every night with a cash bingo and either a quiz or a local tribute act. However we felt most of the evening is geared towards the children.
In all this was a great holiday and a great hotel and would highly recommend this to anyone.

I have just retunred from Holiday and stayed at the trezzamar sun suites and it was reli nice. Th appartments were reli clean and reli nicely decorated. The complex in all was amazing. Puerti rico was a lovely place to go for a relaxing holiday and even if you want to go out for a few drinks there is plenty of bars and a secret wee nightclub that we found.
Trezzamar made our stay apart from the lady who was on the reception area on the night that we arrived- she was a bit rude. but over all i would recommend trezzamar sun suites to anyone.
