We have been coming to this site for over 15 years,we always travel to the Cote d 'azur for summer although we travel around the globe for our other holidays.
When the children were 2,5 right through until they went off to uni it was always fab.
We always went with the most competitive, from Eurosites to Key camp,Siblu to French life and in the latter years when we didn't use the children's clubs any more we went with Pam ,from P&R Continental, very competitive but older vans usually bigger (2-5 years old).
If you travel before the 1st Sept the security is excellent and they are in full flow, after that it does become more lapse, but to be fair the clientèle often changes as unfortunately sun free deals now use this site out of peak!!Hence not quite the same clients who are paying the £1000 a week in peak !!
We in the years we have come have never had anything stolen, ever.
We take laptops,I-phones ,cameras etc all left in the van never touched !
The staff have always been helpful, the owner you still see touring on his golf buggy throughout the day.
The markets in the Frejus and on the seafront (daily)peak time our lovely.
The fruit/meat/clothes market on Sunday is a must.
Overall I say check it out,you pay for what you get ,before 1 sept fab...after I probably wouldn't go !!
Aquatica is expensive but great day out and for the tan.
The riding at "The Ranch" is also a must if you ride you go on a mountain hack !
The food is lovely the Geant,Carefour all great if on a budget there is a leader supermarket probably 30% cheaper....
Lovely holiday great site ,if your worried about your plot just ask to be at the le Baume end,if you don't ask you don't get !!

We went to La baume in 2007 and 2009, Its great for the kids and a nice laid back break for us, our daughter has made some fantastic friends there from many parts of Europe, my only gripe is the concrete around the pools can be hard going. however we're going back again this year!

The campsite is great-has everything you need...and more. Although make sure you get the right management company. The campsite couldnt be beat-great for all the family. My family have been going for quite a few years now and the only problem was that we used to have was, companys like keycamp..and eurocamp etc. They're service just wasnt good enough, then we went with a more personal and private company,(pr continental), they are made up of a few married companys and their great! I recently bought a mobile home and put it on La Baume...its great. I got pr continental to manage it for me, the mobile is fully equiped, close to la baume, has patio&gazebo you are nearly guaranteed no problems!!If you would like more info then email me to monaghan12@hotmail.co.uk. Overall the campsite is brilliant and very secure...although make sure you get the right compan to look after you!

We stayed for 10 nights in August. I would definitely recommend the campsite. Excellent facilities and the pools are great for the children. I really wouldn't recommend going with Keycamp though. The Supernova van that we were put into was awful! Absolutely nothing like the picture that they show in the brochure. It was a different layout meaning that our young children were in a bedroom at the other end of the van. The van was really old and dirty. Cobwebs everywhere, dirty blood stained mattresses, mouldy shower and the kettle was full of limescale. Hairballs under the beds etc etc. Had to replace the old fan and buy a new kettle. We found a mouldy jacket potato in the oven. The shower ran from freezing cold to scorching hot which was extremely dangerous with 2 young children. When we complained on a daily basis we were told to mess about with the boiler to sort out the problem with the shower!!! It was really not what we expected after paying £1700.00 on our holiday. When we returned from our holiday we complained and we have been offered an insulting £250. The customer service has not been good since they have had our money. Would definitely not recommend this company to anyone!

This was my first Eurocamp (or similar) experience and I really quite enjoyed it. It was all how I expected it to be really - it didn't exceed any expectations and all felt as if everything could be improved 'just slightly' but overall it provided a good, fun family holiday.
We flew to Nice and the campsite is about a 40 minutes (very straightforward) drive away. The site is alarmingly close to the motorway / main road, but on saying that once on site we couldn't see or hear any traffic.
The best things about the site were the pools - really fantastic with loads of water slides, great for children - and also the trees. It was really quite leafy and this gave it a pleasant, shady feel - caravans / tents were placed on little tree lined 'lanes' and each lane felt relatively private - this prevented the campsite from feeling like a sea of caravans.
The areas around the pools were nice and clean and spacious but we were a bit disappointed that there were no sun beds available. A few organised people brought their own inflatable lilos, but most of us just lay on beach towels around the floor.
There is a little shop with all the usual supplies for self catering and several places on-site to eat out: a takeaway pizza place, a couple of bars, a snack bar serving salads, frites etc and one nice restaurant. It's advisable to book a table in the restaurant as we found it quite busy, even at the end of the season.
There was entertainment on-site every night (the kind of things you'd expect - magic shows, singing) but everything seemed to wind down by midnight and everything became nice and quiet for bedtime.
Our caravan was, erm, basic. We rented a Deauville two bedroom place and it was small and very average inside. It was just about clean enough - hardly sparkling and fresh but not really dirty either, just a bit shabby. The shower room was nice and clean though. And mosquito nets on the windows were a great plus!
A couple of days we drove to the nearby St Aygulf beach which was lovely. Warm sea, nice sandy beach, and not too busy. Had to queue to park but not for too long.
Overall it was, as I say, it was a nice family holiday. Could all have been a bit sparklier and bit more luxurious but then I'm writing with pretty high, grown up expectations - and the little six year old girl we were with thought it was all tremendous!

We are a family of four, who drove to the site with our two girls, aged 8 and almost 7.
The whole point of this holiday was to have an "adventure" getting there (nearly 1200 miles!) We haven't done anything like this before and have previously visited First Choice's rather swish "holiday villages" on an all-inclusive basis. Needless to say I wasn't expecting the Ritz from La Baume and was prepared for it NOT to be on a par with what I had previously been spoilt with!
It certainly isn't as impressive, but it has its merits and we had a fantastic holiday. The check in was very efficient and the rep, Flo was very friendly. We had an immediate problem with an empty gas canister, but that was sorted out immediately.
You have to bear in mind that as well as there being a lot of tent and caravan pitches at La Baume, lots of different tour operators are operating in the same space, so some of the reviews posted may be specific to one or another of those companies.
There is some crossover (Eurocamp and Keycamp run a joint kids club, which my kids LOVED) but they are quite precious about only their "own" people using "their" games" etc. There is also a kids club for the French children, which my children found first, and were horrified when they thought it was the only one!
One thing I was very aware of was the evening entertainment was conducted exclusively in the French language. That wouldn't bother me as I have a degree in French, but my family doesn't and the site is a true melting pot of French, Belgians, Dutch and Danes. Curiously, there are almost no Germans. No idea why!
The caravan was not particularly clean when we moved in. The beds were nice and we had almost everything we needed. It is down to the reps to clean the caravan and they are mostly teenagers who have no idea how to mop a floor! I wouldn't say it was filthy though, just rushed. It was also a little "tired" and did NOT look like the refurbished one in the brochure.
There were a few of those dotted around the campsite, but most of them were in need of a bit of TLC. I was exceptionally disappointed not to have a microwave, as I was expecting one. They said they would try to get us one, but it never materialised. My biggest gripe was that the only fan in the caravan broke, and was replaced with another broken one. That one was never attended to, despite it now being August and the outside temperature was above 35 degrees. I felt that was pretty poor...
The pool areas were pretty good. I thought they were clean and the lifeguards were exceptionally good at their jobs, picking up on every indiscretion. There are no sunbeds (you put your towel on the flags) and there were amazingly, no ants!
Food and drink was forbidden around the pool areas and you have to remove your shoes before you enter the area.
Unfortunately, if you are French, you apparently don't have to remove your underwear and it is curiously "the done thing" to leave on your underpants and simply wear a pair of Bermuda shorts over the top of them, whilst advertising the waistband of your undies! Now call me prudish if you will, but I used to live in France and French men are not known for their regular underpant-changing! Yuk!
The supermarket, whilst handy, was extortion personified. There is a " Casino" supermarket in Frejus offering much better value for money and a far wider choice. You'd be mad not to!
The fridge was enormous, so you could store a week's worth of shopping in there and not worry about it. Crucially for the south of France there was a big wine rack too!
I did venture into the gym, which was well equipped, but full of French, non-sweating types who looked at me like I was nuts, for daring to break a sweat! I run half marathons - I'd like to see how far they can go, but they still regarded me as an infiltrator who had come to drip on their machines!
There are great court facilities, such as tennis, table tennis and volleyball, as well as football. The pool slides are particularly popular, but the steam room is full of children, who have no idea how to shut a door! In my gym, children are not allowed in the steam room and I was a bit miffed to share this sanctuary with ankle biters!
The surrounding area is particularly beautiful, and the coast road to Cannes is definitely worth a trip if you have the car. Monaco is not too far away and is worth a day trip, and if you want to have a FANTASTIC family day out, go to Marineland, in Antibes. Not cheap, but you'll remember it forever!
One of the only real "issues" I had was the noise on the site, which was regularly unacceptable. The evening entertainment didn't kick off till 10pm, which is far too late for families, and when it finished at midnight, we were treated to a nightly tirade of drunken sixteen year old Dutch kids shouting and yelling down the street past our wafer thin bedroom walls.
From what I can ascertain, our European cousins need a serious lesson in manners, particularly when it comes to disturbing the peace. Ironically, the one night we were kept awake till 4am, it was an English family, who simply didn't realise how much laughing carries when you're trying to sleep in a caravan.
If the area was rubbish, I'd say stay well away, but if you're like us and want a base from which you can explore a bit every other day, then this is pretty good. The girls had a wonderful time here. I'd be lying though if I said I wasn't extremely pleased to be in my own lovely bed, surrounded by brick walls, when we got home!

This year was our 6th at this camp the place is first class and I would recommend it to anyone.
Unfortunately on this occasion the unit we hired was not very clean when we arrived, so this was very disappointing after the other years, the mobiles are not cheap to hire at this time of the year so to arrive and not be very clean with dust and DIRT everywhere was not very good to say the least, also lights not working which took some time to get fixed, the standard of couriers this year I thought were poor.

We travelled to La Baume firstly June 2005 for 2 weeks; we had such a fab time that we returned the following year! We are a family of six one girl 17, and three boys 15, 11, and 7.
The holiday park was great for kids with many pools and activities including kids club for the younger boys.
The older kids met loads of other children to hang out with at the half pipe and disco held every night! They really enjoyed their holiday both times. Although the disco and entertainment was held every night no noise could be heard except people walking home after the disco, etc had ended.
Although this was very little. The campsite took silence after 11om very seriously as there are many young children staying.
We stayed in a mobile home on both occasions and found all staff very helpful in showing us to our mobile home and helping us if and when we had any minor problems.
We arrived in the middle of the night and our rep was there to take our luggage and escort us to our mobile home, we travelled with Key Camp. They were absolute brilliant couldn’t have been more helpful.
Loads of friendly people and lots to do, great for families of all ages. Even the 18 year old returned with a friend the next year! Would love to return again had a great holiday during the two visits.

The pitch and the mobile provided to us were dirty, outside- loose bricks, rubbish, dirty loungers set on clay, inside- needed cleaning, chewing gum stuck to the head of the bed board, floors not swept. I mentioned my concern to the girl who brought us to the mobile, she said Siblu may be able to move us in the morning.
Then we began to get the smell of gas inside, I made contact with the Siblu site manager. He told us the mobile was safe even though it had been tested for a gas leak that day and was to be retested the following morning! He did not know the cause of the odour, said we were in the older part of the campsite where the ventilation was poor! It could be coming from underground pipes! But repeated it was safe to sleep in it? I asked him to move us that night, we wanted a transfer as the site did not match Siblu’s brochure, we felt cheated.
The manager was most unhelpful when we were at our lowest, my children refused to sleep in the mobile and slept on the sofas in their aunt's mobile, I asked the manager again was there another mobile available for one night, he told me quite bluntly that nothing else was available and the gas smelling mobile was the only option. It got worse, I spent the night sitting up with doors and windows open, my wife slept in the small bedroom, the next morning I discovered that mobile no. 19 one of the newer models was vacant that night and when I asked the Siblu manager why we were not given this, he replied the family had returned home because their daughter had become ill and they had paid for the night of the 26th!
So Siblu deliberately gave us a gas smelling mobile when they had an alternative. I found this unbelievable.
We left the next morning at speed.

Excellent site with many facilities. Great pools, with lifeguards. Toilets and showers very good (no soap in toilets though) and cleaned regularly. Staff very informed and helpful.
Downsides: busy motorway nearby that becomes more obvious at night, especially at northern end of site; poor drainage leading to some flooded pitches after heavy storm - avoid pitches with drop off road on uphill side. Generally though a very good site especially for kids.

Dated, tired, poorly maintained park. No kids entertainment until after 10pm.
Pools cold with rough concrete base, as are flumes. Water depth difficult for young children.
We were told no air conditioned units available after our son had to go to hospital with high temp and vomiting. Yet Eurocamp took commission from a local agent who brought air conditioning to our unit, profiting from their failure to provide essential services. Reps told us La Baume is well known for being extremely hot.
Campsite shop poor and expensive.
Mosquitos unbearable.
