Just returned from a cracking week at the Nelia! Were in our late twenties and Me and Amanda booked up with another couple. We found the Nelia to be the perfect place to relax, and to be honest we wished we could have stayed longer. We were all inclusive and the food was better than I expected, with a good selection of meats and veg. The selections of cocktails etc was also good with very healthy measures of alcohol. We worked our way through the cocktail list the first morning! There was very little in terms of entertainment mind you within the hotel but who cares as its literally 5mins from all the other pubs. Hotel was spotless and rooms were of a good standard. Only complaint we had really was the Russian guests were incredibly rude, moody and bad mannered. Regularly que jumping at lunch time. Oh and did I mention badly dressed?! With tight pants around the pool tending to be the trend lol!
I would definitly stay here again and highly recommend the Nelia, and Ayia Napa in general.

Overall, I was pleased with the hotel. It was my first stay in Ayia Napa and my first time all inclusive, so I was unsure of what to expect. MY main worry was the choice of food, which turned out to be so-so. The buffet was extremely repetative, even on 'cyprus night' and 'tropical night' the same food was served, just with a different twist. This said, there was always a good choice of food each night. I felt the service was a bit lax, often you would have to wait for some time before being served a drink, and even though asking for a pint, you were served with half. On arrival to the hotel we were given no induction or information about the all inclusive food and snacks. The entertainment was non-existant, therefore until the all-inclusive finished at midnight everyday, every guest was playing cards! On the positive side, the waitresses were lovely (although the waiters often lacked manners), the rooms were clean and serviced everyday, the air-con was lovely and cold and the location of the hotel was perfect. I would return to this hotel, although not all-inclusive again.

My wife and I have been coming to the Nelia for the past 12 years. We like the hotel so much we now have two holidays a year at the Nelia. The staff are friendly and efficent and nothing is too much trouble for them. The owner's son, Kristos, is a great guy and very helpful. Andre, the waitress, is very friendly and always helpul. Nicos in the bar is training to be a football referee. The hotel rooms are very clean and are cleaned every day. The towels and bed linen are changed every day. I look forward to my holiday at the Nelia next year. The only criticism I have is that there are too many Russians most of whom have no social graces.

This hotel is an average 3 star hotel, which is fundamentally geared towards the needs of Russian people, of which is occupied by about 90 percent of its residents.
The food is poor compared with other all inclusives i have visited in my 10 yrs of visiting ayai napa.
The location could not be better, as it sits almost on the beach offering nearly all sea view rooms . The rooms are excellent really well cleaned and the maids are fantastic,.
The staff at the nelia beach are some of the best i have ever met, especially barman Nicos, and andrea the waitress. Kristos the owners son has a dry sense of humour and i must say they were wonderful people.
This hotel in my opinion needs to attract more european people, and ensure the menus meet the needs of english people and also attempt to attract more english as the hotel has great potential with a bit of creativity innovation and refurbishment.
All in all this is a good hotel but need to change the way it provides holidays for countries other than Russia.
Entertainment is poor but most are to be fair in most all inclusive hotels .The pool is very small and again a good refurb to treble its size would not go amiss.
If you like staying around the pool, sunbeds are an issue , with very rude russian people leaving towels on overnight
Trips not to miss go to the harbour for £12 you can have 5 hrs on the Aphrodite 2 boat with 2 good swim stops and a good chicken dinner visiting protaras and bordering Famagusta very good value.

Just back from Ayia Napa and had one of my best holidays ever! The Nelia Beach hotel is in a fantastic location about 40 mins from Larnaca airport, 2 mins from the beach and about 5-10 mins walk from the nightlife.
The maid was in every day to clean the room and replace the towels & sheets. The staff were amongst the friendliest I've met with a special mention for Nicos the barman who made us more than welcome (and gave us his address if we want to go back and visit him!)!.
The food was the best all inclusive food I've encountered, and is based on theme nights i.e. italian night, mediterranean night, cyprus night, barbeque night. The salads etc. can get a little repetitive but there's always plenty of choice.
The only downside for this hotel from my point of view was the slightly small balcony - but from looking at other hotels in the area this seems to be the norm - and a slightly small pool but as I've said the hotel is right on the beach, and there were plenty of sunbeds.
We hired a buggy for 2 days to get out and about and I'd recommend it as a fun way to travel. We also visited the waterpark which is a good day out. In the hotel itself there is a pool table, air hockey table, table tennis and a tennis court.
I'm already thinking about my next holiday and I'll be going back to the Nelia Beach .............

The hotel was in a good location to the town where we wanted to go out during the day and night. The surrounding bars and restaurants were very adequate and the choice of food we could have was also very good. Most of the restaurants were reasonably priced as well.
The hotel itself was nice with a very clean pool and good restaurant and bar facilities. The cleaners were very prompt and efficient and would not disturb you too much. They were very pleasant and polite.
Reception was well staffed with polite and helpful people who would help with any matter that arose. The reps were very helpful too and offered us a wide range of activities for us to do during our stay there.
Overall we were very satisfied with the holiday and the hotel and would definitely consider going back there if we returned to Ayia Napa.

Me and my Husband first visited the Nelia in August 2004 for our Honeymoon, we have been at least 3/4 times since and are going again in just over a week for a fortnight with our kids.
We have been on our own and with the children and found it ideal for both kinds of holiday.
Staff are second to none and can't do enough for you. The hotel room is quite basic but very clean and more than acceptable.
The location couldn’t be more perfect - just a stone throw from the beach and harbour and a short walk to the pubs and taverns, with the square about 15/20 mins walk away - you don't get any of the noise that you would think and it’s so relaxing - the perfect holiday choice!

After reading reviews on other sites about the Nelia beach hotel I was dreading my holiday. There were 12 adults in our group ranging from 18-63. We had a great time, best place we have ever been and we are very well travelled.
The hotel is lovely and clean and the food is great. The hotel staff are excellent the only downfall was the entertainment although in a big group it is easy to make your own. The beach is gorgeous with plenty of water sports although Nissi Beach is a must. You are also situated near the harbour and we all spent the day on Marcos boat which was really nice (and cheap).
Some of our group also went on a fishing trip for the day which they enjoyed. The water park was fantastic only wish we hadn’t left it to the last week of our holiday because we would have defiantly gone again. Hired a jeep and took a trip to Nicosia was great for shopping but would not advise crossing over the border into land occupied by the Turkish, was very frightening and people were very hostile (didn’t think we were going to get out alive).
For a great nights entertainment visit Marcos bar situated across the road for great food, cocktails and karaoke.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and have already booked up to go again in 2007!

We are a late fifties couple who with friends have been to the Nelia Beach Hotel for the last 5 years, normally in late May.
We stay half board and have obviously had a great time there.
As with all hotels other guest attitudes cannot be controlled however the Brits Abroad approach taken by one group who were drinking from bottles in the swimming pool and constantly swearing loudly was dealt with politely and firmly by the management.
Great hotel going back this year in September.
