Stayed in Les Sablons for 12 nights July 08. Weather was fantastic - over 30 every day but all days but 1 had a lovely breeze. Pool complex lovely, very clean, lifeguards aplenty! Felt they could have policed the aqua games on the slide a bit better as those sliding down were crashing into those in pool waiting to go up. Lovely takeaway beside pool and bar with nice variety on menu. Did not use restaurant but heard service was very slow but food good. Supermarket, bakery, newsagents, fruit&veg shop and small clothes shop on site. Also 2 or 3 different stalls set up each day to sell their goods too. Market every day in Portiragnes Plage. Location moves around a bit but Wed morning starts right outside the gate. Only 2 min walk to the beach which was lovely and sandy and had a nice sandbank to get out to. Big drop after the sandbank though so be careful. Banana boats etc for hire at the beach. On campsite kids clubs were great and there were lots of activities for during the day like pottery classes, archery, water polo, salsa dancing, aerobics etc. kiddie disco very popular at 9pm. This was followed by a stage show - some better than others. Drinks very expensive (and we come from expensive Ireland!!). Usually stocked up on soft drinks at the hyperChampion 10 mins drive away and kids drank those instead at night. Went to Africian Safari at Sigean - good (not brilliant) - best kept for an overcast day. Montpellier was beautiful but would imagine that the motorway would be jammed in August. Hubby and boys(9,7 and5) went to Bezier Adventure(zip wire park) - that was a big hit for all. Back at the pool there are some unbrellas and a lovely pergola in the centre of the pool area for shade for babies (or those foolishly burnt the previous day) from where you can view all 3 pool and the slide pool. Pitch was dusty. Alot of roadways were tarmaced but for some reason the end of the campsite where alot of the Keycamp and Eurocamp mobiles were had dusty roads too - hard for playing boules!! Lots of ping pong tables around and a few play areas - one by the pool very well equiped. Toilet blocks kept very clean. We heard very little noise at night but were at the end of the campsite so maybe that was the reason. Found the Keycamp staff lovely and helpful as were the campsite staff. As with most of france the french in the area around love to see the tourists make a bit of an effort at the language so have a few key words learnt before you go or keep a phrase book handy! Would definetly return but the world is too big so will try a different area in France in 2009.

We've just returned from this campsite having spent the last two weeks there. The campsite itself is lovely with plenty of pool space (and loads of sunbeds). The beach is also lovely.
We had great service from the Eurocamp/Keycamp reps - work close together. The kids also enjoyed the Fun Station, playing football most sessions.
However, our downside was the restaurant - very overpriced and the service was slow. The waitresses were also very unfriendly. Be warned if you try to order the Plat du Jour in the evening - it is not at the price advertised on the board outside the restaurant - the staff will tell you that the price there is for lunchtime only! Well, if that is the case, why keep the board outside? When we queried this, they then decided they would be totally unable to speak any English, or understand my French.
There are so many beautiful places to visit around there, I think we will be returning next year.
