Just returned from weeks holiday with my two boys aged 7 and 4.We booked through yelloh and stayed in a 3 bed mobile home in waikiki zone. This area is car free and the closest to the beach and pool etc that is possible. The location of our home made the holiday for us and also the quality of our airconditioned accomodation.I would recommend booking direct as their pitches were so much better.Great new pool complex and beautiful fine clean sand beach. The sea was generally very calm and the beach shelves gently so very good for children.Great butchers and fresh bread available all day.Best campsite we have stayed at.Booking already for next year.

back to this campsite again for 3rd time, boys now 7 and 11 and had a ball
my husband went back to work and i stayed or the month with fab weather, it was just great did not see the boys unless food was required. staff were fantastic and willing to help out at all times. hats off to te cleaning ladies who were cleaning the facilities all day long, so it was spotless. needless to say we are booking again for 2009. transport to the towns very accesible as you only had to put your hand out and the bus would stop, we travelled to some lovely towns without the car which was great. bus stop right outside the campsite. cannot wait till next year.

We had a superb family holiday at Les Mediterranees in August (2 adults, 1 x 6-year old), and would recommend it, especially for families. We chose this type of holiday because of the freedom it offered, as opposed to being in a hotel room 10 floors up with a small balcony.
Firstly, the Thomson Al Fresco reps were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for Cynthia and Rhys, and they were extremely helpful in recommending places to visit, directions, etc. Secondly, the standard of accommodation provided by Thomson Al Fresco is very good. We booked a "Vivaldi" mobile home, which was very clean, and we made great use of the wonderful decked verranda, patio furniture and barbecue. Our 6-year old son loved the freedom of being able to play outside with neighbouring children in complete safety while we watched from the verranda. The bedrooms were small, but perfectly adequate, with enough storage for all our clothes. The shower was spacious and powerful (better than ours at home!) The kitchen was well equipped, with a large fridge freezer, microwave, full oven & hob.
The site itself is very well situated, with just a 2 minute stroll to the lovely clean beach. It is mechanically swept every evening, and is well supervised by the local lifeguards. There are no loungers or parasols to hire, but we bought our own parasol for around £6 and saved ourselves a fortune. The main "town" of Marseillan Plage has plenty of bars and restaurants, again right on the doorstep. Everywhere seemed very family-orientated and offered a reasonable menu choice.
We would heartily recommend Les Mediterranees, and wouldn't hesitate in going back.

Myself and 2 kids aged 7 & 11 travelled from Barcelona by coach to Beziers and took a taxi to the campsite for 30euro. The campsite is not serviced by public transport so is unsuitable for those without a car, I wish I had been warned of this before I booked it.
I spent the last 3 days of my holiday trying to get the times of the coaches and trains from Beziers to Barcelona. the campsite does not have any timetables and the staff were unhelpful telling me to check the internet which at 4euros for 15 minutes and in french is just a moneymaking racket for them.
I ended up getting my husband to book tickets for the train over the internet which was all in french and that took a few hours and trial and error to work out at home in Ireland.
The staff in the camp reception were all french but would not do it for me. I found it very frustrating and unhelpful.

We had a great holiday, but having stayed in 4 star hotels usually, it took a bit of getting use to. The site is in a brilliant position with lots of shops and bars nearby. It also has direct access to the beach. Security is very good with security guards on patrol all day and night, with extra security in the evening, around the entertainment area. Like I say we had a great holiday and we are going again in 2 weeks, but things to know before you go, if you have never done this kind of holiday before:
There were no english people on the site, it was hard for the kids to find someone to play with because of the language barrier. We were not expecting loads of english familys but a couple would be nice.
You have to leave the appartment spotless or you dont get your £70.00 deposit back, its not good cleaning at 4.00am in the morning before your flight! this year we have just decided to pay the £70.00
Drinks at the bar at the campsite were Very expensive. They will probably be worse this year due to the exchange rate. Only way to overcome this is to stock up at a bigger supermarket nearby.
Lots of nice places to visit close by, it is a very pretty area of france.

We stayed here last August with canvas holidays and would recommend it.We have travelled to many campsites in France and can say this is the best we have stayed at.The campsite butchers sold fantastic meat for BBQ and lovely fresh bread in morning from bakers. The beach was great only got crowded near campsite exits ,plenty of space if prepared to walk a bit further. Some of the evening entertaiment was good and the bar was cheap for wine. The cavas pitches were the best well away from road and quiet.

great campsite with two boys aged 5 and seven, did not need to leave apart to stock up
at supermarket before coming home we have booked again independently and will be taking our trailer this time. Fabulous for kids who need a bit of independence with bikes and scooter. Canvas team were brilliant and catered for us at all times.
Do not travel to supermarkets on Mondays as roads very busy.
were able to even read books knowing kids were safe. Security seen every day checking braclets. Food areas very good and the entertainment(if you wanted it) was fantastic. We saw some great acts and the " birthday" for our son was 10 out of ten. Highly recommend this site. Weather a bonus!

We have been twice to this site now, May 2006 and May this year. Both times we had fantastic weather, we had children aged between 1yr and eleven and they all had a super time.
The pool complex is just the right size offering something for everyone and the fact the site was right on a great stretch of beach was perfect.
If I had to find any fault it would be that May is still quite out of season in that area so on and off the site there wasn't much going on but the positive side to this was that it was still quiet in the evenings etc.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed it and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the site for families who want a reasonably quiet holiday, we were content to wander to and from the beach or pool during the day and sit play cards and drink the local vino in the evening!!

I visited in June this year Marseillan Plage and found the resort to be lovely, the beach is within easy walking distance, do be warned though there is a nudist beach about a 10 minute walk along the beach front.
The evening entertainment left a lot to be desired, it was really poor as they repeated the same show each night.
Saying that though we preferred a barbecue by the caravan instead, also there are lots of little restaurants nearby The Eurocamp staff were very helpful and there were lots of places nearby to visit within an easy driving distance.
I would definitely recommend this resort and will definitely be visiting again.

We have just returned from the Nouvelle Floride, having spent 17 days in the sun.
Our party consisted of 6 adults and we booked direct with the site. Our accommodation was a three bedroom cottage; this was in fact a caravan with fake shutters and a pitched roof.
The great advantage over a caravan was the two bedrooms with single beds, no bunks. The double bed also seemed larger than a standard caravan bed.
The toilet was separate, not in the shower room.
Disadvantages were, no oven just a hob, no kettle, teapot or toaster. There was a microwave and filter coffee machine though.
The site is apparently very busy in high season but for us it was rather quiet. No problems getting a sunbed by the pool or seat at the bar.
The entertainment was limited but the bar at the sister site Charlemagne just over the road had karaoke every night and there are bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Nouvelle Floride is on the beach, only 15 minutes walk up the beach takes you to Cap d'Agde.
There are pools on both the Nouvelle Floride and Charlemagne sides, either of which you can use. Both have slides and children’s areas along with sunbeds and lifeguards in high season.
We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday and will certainly return, but not in high season.

Eurocamp emplacements was next to a busy road. Constant noise from drunks etc after site disco which started at 11pm despite site silence rule on camp between 11pm -7am! Noise often went on till 6am. Then the delivery lorries arrived which literally shook the mobile home! We asked to be moved (as did other Eurocamp customers) nothing available. Nice site great position but unable to fully enjoy due to lack of sleep! I would not return to this site.
