Mansart Hotel

We have just come back from a fantastic weekend in Paris. I booked the Hotel Mansart after reading the other great reviews and we were not disappointed. The location was 5 star and the hotel rivalled many 4 star hotels. The staff were friendly and proffessional and rooms were beautifully decorated. The bed was so comfortable we wanted to bring it home. Our room was lovely and quiet and the whole experience of staying here was wonderfully relaxing. Very nice little hotel, stayed here recently for a night Good size room, lovely furniture, bathroom a bit old but very much in keeping with the place. Bed was not the comfiest (a bit of an old mattress I feel). Esprit de France is the best way to describe this hotel, it was exactly like staying with my old friends in their flat in Paris. We just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is the best we`ve had and the staff was very friendly and helpful. When we return to Paris we would not hesitate to stay at this property again! C`est magnifique!!

We will recommend the Hotel Mansart to everyone. We were guests for a long weekend in late September 2006, and we enjoyed every minute. The rooms are unusually large for Parisian hotels, and they are very well decorated (period pieces) and equipped. Staff were very helpful, and it is hard to beat the location (one block from Place Vendome and the Ritz). You are also very close to the Louvre and l'Opera. Incredible value.

We stayed in Paris and LOVED the Hotel Mansart. The location is SUPERB - just a block away from the Place Vendome and very close to the Louvre and the Opera House. The hotel staff was very friendly and completely put away any fear I had about being the ugly american - they treated us very well!! And because the hotel is not on a main street, the prices are less expensive than other hotels in this area.

Excellent hotel and great breakfast. Superb deals in August but note that a fair few Parisian restaurants close for 2-3 weeks so check your guidebooks. This hotel is v.central and is a short walk from the Louvre museum ( do choose a guided tour but don't mention the Da Vinci Code!!). Also avisit to Versaille is a must do!

Wonderful hotel in historic building is one of the best deals in Paris. Great location next to the Ritz and Place Vendome, the surrounding area is full of cafes and restaurants of all types. The building is historic, however, the lobby is modern, although the hall ways and rooms have a more historic feel. For an extra 50 euros one can book the Mansart room, which is a beautiful corner room with 15 foot ceilings and a view down to Place Vendome and rue des Capucine. My mother and I stayed at the Mansart on the recommendations of everyone on trip advisor and the hotel was even better than we expected. The perfect location in the centre of Paris - we walked everywhere - right behind the Ritz and next to Bvglari Jewellers. Our room 501 was a perfect size and full of parisian charm with a lovely modern light large bathroom. The service was faultless and all the staff were helpful and charming. We can not wait to return. The Mansart is such value for its money and should be a 4 star hotel... more

I too agree with the previous three reviews...this hotel is a MAJOR find! The location is AAA, right next door to the Hotel Ritz in place Vendome. My room (a standard double) had a new flat screen tv, french doors opening to a view of Rue de la Paix, lovely writing desk with pot-pourri, HUGE bathroom which appeared to be completely new. At night you could hear a pin drop. The closet was large and well stocked with wooden hangers and electronic safe. The hotel has WiFi in the rooms and also a public computer in the lobby. I have to agree with the previous two reviewers about this hotel. It is simply an excellent find - even my "BCBG" Parisian friends were amazed and quite taken in by it. My (double) room was massive by Continental standards and the bathroom was shamefully large (the size of some small rooms, in fact). The furniture was lovely and well kept whilst the free room service with breakfast was prompt and always with a smile. I really could not find fault with this hotel, or its location (in the epicentre). I am certainly staying there... more
