We have owned a mobile home on this site since 2001
We have always been good and never caused any problems always kept to their rules We wanted to sell the mobile home and was told we could sell it but the new owners could only keep it for 12 months and then replace it with a new one. We found a buyer for a grand sum of £400 to include everything including cooking equipment, loungers, all bed linen, TV, Satelitte, Video player, bar-be-que, garden shed complete with lawn mower, bikes and lots more. You can see we did not want to make any money out of it we just wanted others to enjoy the mobile home. The new owners confirmed that they would replace it with a brand new mobile home (you can only buy from the campsites suppliers)
The new owners arrived at the campsite and was told they could not buy the mobile home even if they agreed they would replace it in 12 mnths time. So we ended up paying the high yearly rental charges (that keep increasing each year and we can't stop it)
We didn't use the mobile home for the whole summer it cost us over £3,000 for the yearly fee to just sit there. You may think why didn't we just have it removed at that time. Well the campsite with their rules again would not allow us to do this until the end of the season. Jan 09 we have had to pay for it to be removed and we had to find someone to take it within 7 days of it being removed
The campsite just wanted our pitch and basically that is it
If you are thinking of putting buying a mobile home on this site I would strongly recommend you don't. I mentioned earlier that we had a lawn mower - do I hear you ask why did I need this when we pay in the excess of £3,000 per year well they don't mow the lawn this is up to you. It will be done now and then but we would be there and cleared the grass for them to mow and he would just drive straight past.
If I could rate this campsite a 0 I would do that. I do think if I was French I would have been able to sell the mobile home. Many years ago we wanted to put a shed on the our site like many French owners had. Well this was a problem. We had to go to their supplier get the smallest shed and it cost us approx £500 for this tiny shed that came in ,many pieces. I have always wandered how much the campsite received from the shop for our shed. We spent 2 whole weeks treating each piece of the shed and also putting all the pieces together to finally have a tiny shed. 2 years later we had to take many nails with us to bank it all together. When we purchased this shed for £500 the shop would not even deliver it to the campsite. Yes we had to pot in in the car,
AGAIN IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING STAYING ON THIS SITE OR BUYING A MOBILE HOME PLEASE, PLEASE RE-CONSIDER THANK YOU
OH THIS HAS ALSO HAPPENED TO MANY OTHER FAMILIES ON THIS SITE

My wife and I have just returned from a very enjoyable 2 weeks at this very clean, well maintained site in Brittany. We took our touring caravan for our first Continental caravanning holiday and found this to be an excellent start. The site is well laid out with each hedge separated pitch having its own water, electricity and grey water disposal. The shower/toilet blocks are cleaned daily and there is always plenty of hot water. There is an excellent swimming pool area but I was confused as to why we had to pay 2 Euros each to use it for the duration of our visit. I thought it should be part of the facilities already paid for. The grocery shop is OK for your immediate needs but just 2 miles down the road in Matignon are the SuperU and Lidl supermarkets (both on the same site) for all your main shopping. There is a restaurant on site but we did not use it so cannot comment.
Do not worry if your French is not too good as the camp site reception staff speak quite good English and are very helpful with directions and advice
The site is well placed to visit all the interesting "touristy" places in Brittany and we went somewhere different most days as the weather was very kind to us. We found France to be more expensive than we thought it would be (the French seem to agree) but I suppose this is because they are in the Euro. The one item we found to be much cheaper was the wine (bought ours from Lidl) and so if you take your caravan do stock up before you leave. Fuel is a bit cheaper than in UK but do fill up at Supermarkets (like the one in Matignon as above) and not elswhere. The French roads are much quieter and better maintained than in Britain and driving was a pleasure. Overall we would highly recommend this part of France and The Chateau de Galinee Camping Site.

This is our 3rd year holidaying with Euro camp in France. Again the Euro camp accommodation was excellent (we stayed in a Premier Mobile home) and the couriers extremely helpful.
The site was very quiet for the two weeks we were there. We have two young children and did not want a large noisy site but in some ways this site was just two quiet.
There was no opportunity for our oldest child (nearly four) to meet or play with other children as there were very few around, as most of the other guests were older couples.
The site had good facilities for children but the lack of a place to get an ice-cream and the limited shop which only opened for 2 hours in the morning did make it somewhat restrictive.
The site owners seemed to be very unfriendly (shouting at one of the guests who wore shorts rather than trunks in the pool). However the surrounding area was fantastic for children, the beaches were beautiful and I would recommend trips to St Malo Aquarium and La Bourbonaise Zoo.
Overall an enjoyable holiday but we have stayed at better sites!

A picturesque quiet campsite (in June). Excellent facilities including a family-only shower and toilet block, featuring lockable rooms with built-in baby baths at waist height which was invaluable for our 19 month old's bath time ritual.
Great for kids, not only because of the wonderful swimming pools and waterslides (unattended and free when we were there so shorts really were not a problem), but also because of the horses and goats.
Locally there are many wonderful places to visit and fun days out for children and adults. All in all after 2 weeks here we could have easily stayed a further 2 weeks. Very comfortable and relaxing.

My wife, 15 & 12 year old boys and I spent 19 nights here and we plan to return next year. We crossed from Dover to Calais. A long drive to the site but 99% motorway. We took our own trailer tent, which is nearly 27 feet long from the tow-hitch to the end of the awning. Nevertheless it fitted easily onto the spacious hedge lined pitch with more than adequate space at the side. Water, electricity and mains drainage is provided. I think the original intention was to allow chemical toilets to be emptied into the covered drain on each pitch but this is not allowed now and toilets have to be emptied at the facility located at the sanitation block. We had a particularly quiet pitch away from the roads, which suited us. A one way traffic system and 10 KPH speed limit with speed humps is present. You have to watch kids on bikes though because they go where they please. On arrival you are issued with a code for the security barrier at the entrance to the site. The shop was adequate for essentials. Fresh bread is baked daily on site but goes quickly. There is also a takeaway for pizza and burgers but no restaurant. The pool complex is excellent and supervised though I’ll come back to that. We didn’t visit the bar once but that was simply because we prefer to buy beer and wine locally and chill out by the tent. I found the staff on reception to be friendly and helpful. Good English is spoken which is great when my 'O' level French was stretched.
Right then; points to watch. Reception opens 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 7 pm. don’t arrive when it’s shut because you will sit outside until it opens. This may mean overnight!
There is only one shower/loo/wash block. Men and women have separate facilities. It is kept clean but if you’re at the far end of the site you may have a bit of a trek. There are 8 showers, 8 loos and 8 wash cubicles with shaver points in the mins block and the women have the same. The showers are excellent with plenty of power and hot water. I only had to queue once or twice for about 5 minutes at peak times. (Never for a loo though) There is a nursery cubicle for bathing infants in the ladies block. A third block was for the exclusive use of families but we didn’t venture in there. There was a small block of three loos at the far end of the site as well. Dishwashing facilities are in the same block. However the laundry sinks are in the same room and yet despite the clear signs people insisted on washing their greasy plates in sinks intended for laundry. This is probably my major gripe with the facilities because being there for nearly three weeks it was necessary to do a bit of washing. There are washing machines and dryers for larger loads if required.
To use the pool you will have to have wristbands costing 5 Euros each; which is refunded on return of the bands. Please note the following. The rule forbidding the wearing of shorts in the pool is rigorously enforced. My sons plus numerous others over the duration of our stay were ordered from the pool if they were wearing anything other than trunks. So we had to buy trunks. Getting back to pool supervision; basically the staff are there to monitor swimwear and to enforce the "no shorts" rule. They are not lifeguards.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this site and fully intend to return. It’s a great base to explore from. We fell in love with the area. The coastline is magical with golden sand, a crystal clear warm sea, castles and coves. The seafood is the best I’ve tasted.
Finally there is a Super U and Spar supermarket ten minutes away. Go for it!

Located in a very out of the way location between Notre Dame de Guildo and St. Cast this small castels campsite is ideal for young families looking for peace and quiet.
The campsite is well run with English spoken at reception, the site owned caravans we used were new this season and so were exceptionally clean and maintained.
The camp facilities were an excellent pool complex aimed at younger children, a small petting zoo, crazy golf which had seen better days, fishing, two very small 18" deep mill pools which proved hard going for anything other than eels.
The shop was small but had everything you needed on arrival until you could get to the hypermarket down the road.
The bar and takeaway was very expensive which is always the case with a captive customer base.
All in all a nice quiet campsite in a beautiful area.
