Our second visit to this wonderful site. Evening entertaintment if you want it, but not too intrusive if you don't. Already booked again for 2009! Reason for 9/10 the old toilet/shower block; preferred to walk to the more modern ones! Staff friendly and helpful - our pitch was in the shade and uneven; our son is a wheelchair user, they quickly and without fuss found us a much more suitable one.

Beautiful site: large pitches set out around a lake. Lots to do: heated swimming pool, table tennis, badminton, etc. Toilet and shower facilities not brilliant but certainly okay and 3 blocks so not too crowded. Nice setting for restaurant but shame about the food! We went towards end of season and staff were certainly not at their best. Advertises bike hire but when we went all the bikes were out of use so don't rely on that. To make the best of the site you need to have transport to get around as nearest village is not within walking distance and whatever you do don't hire a taxi - the price is exhorbitant, and don't listen to what they tell you it will cost at reception, we were seriously mislead. If go in September check with the site first:there is an all day car rally during which the roads around the village are completely shut off so you will be confined to the camp from 7.30 am until 7.30 pm (except for 4 brief 15 minute slots when they stop the rally so people can enter and leave). So although it is the best site to be trapped on because the facilities are good, you are still trapped in a very noisy situation for a whole day of you holiday.

My family and I have just returned from one of the the most amazing holidays we have ever had and much of our joy came from staying at this wonderful site!
The facilities are excellent.
Arrival -
warmly greeted and shown to our pitch.
Entertainment -
Mdme Bony gave us a remarkable insite into the history of her home and family by inviting all guests to join her in her sitting room for a remarkable evening - DO NOT MISS THIS!!
Music nights where guests are invited to bring along their own instruments and sing and play in the restaurant. A wonderful thing to be able to experience the multicultural talents of so many!
Another wonderful evening was spent listening to a band who gave us "A party in the park" style experience - All for free!
A trip on the boating lake in a canoe with my son for a very minimal cost brought us such pleasure.
Swimming in the pool - although cold, brought squeals of delight from our son as we played in the water.
The playground opposite the restaurant is beautifully kept and has some lovely equipment on it for the children to play whilst their parents sit and have a drink in full view.
Merci, Merci, Merci to Le Brevedent for a truly wondeful holiday

having just come back from france i thought i should write this review the campsite is lovely, quiet but at the same time plenty of things to do from fishing to canoeing and of course the ideally placed park in front of the resturant where our 2year old son loved to play while me and my wife enjoyed a glass of wine .
the surrounding area was beautiful and very interesting with a zoo 5 minutes away and beaches 20 minutes.but best of all was the resturant bernay in blangy d chateu 1.8km
what a gem of a resturant menu changed every day
on the down side and the reason for the 8/10 was the shop it was poorly stocked no eggs, milk. and very expensive.the resturant was ok but everything was served with chips.
all in all we had a wondrful holiday and would go back again.

Great site, children friendly, real taste of French countryside, lots of nearby facilities, so plenty to do. Recommend local zoo at Lisieux or trip to Trouville for a fish/seafood meal.
Bar in local village, good stop off and site has a bar and restaurant too. Pitches for touring units on lakeside or away from water’s edge. If lucky enough to get lakeside, you can try and catch one of the huge carp in the lake from the comfort of your own pitched area, with wild life to spot whilst sitting there. Lots of old apple trees in grounds with mistletoe sprouting from some.
Very clean, cold drinkable water on site for all you happy campers. Well worth a try if you love France.

My family have now had two holidays on this site and will return again this year. The staff are brilliant, very friendly and can't do too much for you. The entertainment is very good with each night being different. One of the nights is devoted to anyone who has a musical instrument, or can sing, to join in with the site band.
Fishing on the lake is good, although sometimes I think the fish were playing with us as they would splash their tails on the opposite bank to where we were!!
Restaurant is good but not great, although the play park outside for youngsters is well maintained and you can relax with a drink whilst the kids enjoy themselves. The pool is very good although a bit chilly with a seperate one for toddlers.
My 13 year old would take a canoe out into the lake and 'chill' for hours. What a change from the X-Box at home!! This alone was worth the journey.
There are always visits to local cider makers on offer and the staff try to lay on excersions although some are pricey (to Paris for instance).
The surrounding area is well worth a visit with local markets going on all the time (check site notice board).
If you get the chance, go along to the 'talk' given by the Lady who owns the Chateau who gives excellent monologues from her family history. Her English is better than mine!!
All in all, a brilliant, quiet, friendly camp site. Definitley recommended and not too far away from the D-Day sites if you are in to that sort of thing.
