We holidayed with Eurocamp for the first 2 weeks in July 2007. We made the most of our holiday, even though the sun didn't shine all the time.
The location of the campsite it lovely, overlooking the bay. We would return but not with Eurocamp, the staff just were not bothered and the caravan was in need of being replaced.

Having spent the 1st week at a lovely camp belonging to Eurocamp, we were very disappointed with La Vallee which was run by students who just didn`t seem to care and were pretty unsure of anything that was asked of them.
The mobile home was dirty and past its best and for us was too noisy.
Will not be returning to La Vallee.

Excellent campsite and facilities. Very clean and tidy. The couriers were capable, if some were slightly lost on info.
Nice caravans but beginning to become slightly tired. Campsite owners and their staff were excellent.
Nice area and local facilities in Houlgate, Dives-sur-mer, Caen. Excellent for WW2 memories but so much more around about.
Keycamp are excellent value for money.

We were only stopping over prior to departing from Caen. Location in the side of the valley is beautiful, but it does mean that the tents are pitched on a slope, which takes a bit of getting used to (and created some rivers running through the tent when it rained).
We were kept awake by some very loud music (which seemed to be coming from a nearby outdoor disco) until 4am. I’m usually a heavy sleeper who never has trouble getting to sleep. As we had to get up at 6am for a full day’s travelling, I would recommend that you avoid this campsite like the plague - we’ll certainly NEVER return!

Houlgate is a lovely seaside town.
Beware the campsite at la Vallee which has bizarre rules about bathing attire for males. Only Speedo style, or close fitting swimming trunks are permitted in the pool. Any swimwear remotely resembling shorts are banned. This is not spelt out on the Keycamp website, or even mentioned on the Eurocamp website. It may ruin your stay as it did ours.
Finally, the bin areas were untidy and it has an incredibly rude owner.
All our other experiences of Keycamp have been fantastic.
