Thank you for your review. The food served in our take-away is 'fast-food' so we do use a microwave. Cooked meals are available in the bar, and there is a restaurant just behind the bar called 'L'Auberge du Colombier' which serves homemade regional specialities. There are also several restaurants in the small surrounding villages and a wider choice in the town of Calais. There are a couple of bars in the centre of Guînes, and a whole street of bars, restaurants and night-life in Calais, called Rue Royale, with a late bus service at week-ends. A drink in our bar doesn’t cost as much as a drink in Calais. The weather cannot be helped, and the climate here is very similar to the one in Great Britain.

Thank you for your review. We are part of the Castel chain which is a group of well rated campsites in France. We are one of the cheapest in the group. Our entrance used to go straight out onto the main road which was very dangerous for caravans and motorhomes queuing up, so our entrance is just off a roundabout with a long path leading up to the reception which is much more practical, and safe, for visitors. You stayed with a tour operator while you were onsite and you should talk to your courier about any problems with the accommodation, and contact them via their website. Our mobile-homes are ready from 2pm. The swimming pool is cleaned daily, and I can assure you that ‘stripping off’ is not allowed in our pool. All the pictures in our brochure were taken onsite. We are not responsible for any theft onsite, and we recommend that you do not leave anything outside, as you would do anywhere.
