Average place
from Golben
Well, we didn't pay that much for our stay so our expectations weren't that high. We got a very small room, but the French aren't known for building big, where lots and lots of cigarettes had been smoked. The receptionist hardly noticed us when we checked out. But hey, they weren't unfriendly and the bed was nice.
I love this hotel !!
from SammiYao
I was there in Sept 2004.. I like this hotel very much. First, it's located right next to a supermarket and lots of nice coffee shops and bakery around. it takes about 6 mins to get to the metro station and the neighborhood was very nice !! We feel safe to walk back to hotel during midnights~ Staff are very nice too and they speak very good English .. However, I don't recommend to have breakfast at this hotel .. Better try something else ~~ Yes Yes.. it's very quiet hotel too !!!
Super Hotel - Friendly Staff
from MartinH123
Stayed at the Allegro for 5 nights in early Augst 2006. Hotel was really good. Staff were friendly and for those that do not speak French (like me!) their level of English was very good. There were three of us (myself, my wife and my daughter) in the one room - which was a triple room - with three single beds in there and there was plenty of space for us all. The air conditioning could have worked better but it never felt too hot, and we just opened the window if it felt a little stuffy. The Hotel is located on the East side of Paris in...

OK but not great
from A TripAdvisor Member
Location is out of the centre and out of any interesint neighbourhood. Subway is about 800m from the hotel and takes you to the city centre in about 15 mins, which is OK. Rooms are OK, not big but not small either. I went to 3 hotels on the same trip (also to Libertel Bellechasse, Holiday Inn Montmartre), in which I prefered the Holiday Inn, both for the hotel as such as for the location of the hotel.
Really Nice
from Robho
My wife and I stayed at the Allegro for 2 nights 11th 12th Feb 2006 We found it was very good value for money, we booked through Alpha Rooms and total cost was £97. Our room on the 1st floor was very clean and everything was in good working order. The aircon had a heat facility which was usefull as it was an especially cold weekend. The bathroom was a good size with a great power shower over the bath. The towels were changed and the beds made and room tidied each day. The breakfast was continental but good with a choice of meats,...

Ok, but no bargain
from Brett530i
I stayed there for one night. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small, but average size for France. Room was clean. The decor was dated and bordered on tacky. The bottom line is this place is fine for a quick stopover. If you need an element of romance, don't stay here. This Hotel is the equivalent of a $59 hotel in most non-metro areas of the USA. I'm not sure why my rate was $165 - I was expecting better. Location is quiet. A little too quiet. The Bel-Air metro station, which is the closest, said it was closed on...

Nice, friendly hotel
from Matzchik
This is a very friendly, family run, 3-stars hotel in a good residential neighborhood, not far from a Metro station - so you are in the heart of the city within a couple of minutes. Everything, the rooms, the bathrooms, the restaurant are very, very clean and the stuff is friendly and helpful. OK, there are some funny things in the hotel. Like one of the former reviewers, I had to fix a broken lamp first and also the hairdryer was not in working order (but I could not repair it). But for us, these were minor things which did not bother...

What happened to maintenance?
from Punchinello
Anything about this hotel never reached beyond average but often achieved it. The two rooms were OK but why do certain things not work? There were 5 of us. My room: the lamp did not work; I fixed it myself rather than wait for some repair man to appear next day. Just dirty contacts. The remote control did not work or either the TV did not recognise it. Wrong remote? The other room: one of the downlighters in the bathroom had been removed just leaving the socket hanging! Why? The lobby area was quite new and...

Three day tour
from Budget_Traveler_007
For 50 Euro I was not expecting what I received - which were spacious, clean and relatively posh accomodations in a nice neighborhood (without much road noise). The reception was quite accomodating and spoke english well enough. I don't know if I would have paid 120+ for it (their normal high season prices) as the location is quite far from anything of note (however Paris's metro system is quite comprehensive). Overall - great stay - A+!
Handy stopover in Paris
from Weirs
We visited this hotel in September 2004, and found it adequate, reasonably priced, and near the Metro station (7 minute walk). on Line 1, the main line from East to West, which takes in the main tourist attractions. Hotel is situated in a quiet street with many reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful, with good English. Breakfast very basic but adequate. Room was of a reasonable size, but two of the walls had rather odd marks on them near the floor. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with...
