Libertel La Villette Hotel

Stayed for three nights, good location, close to Metro Jaures on number 2 line, Number 26 Bus stop outside the door brought you straight to Gare du Norde very handy for RER to Charles de Gaule airport. Usual Paris city hotel smallish rooms but comfortable and clean, certainly better than some of our previous Parisian experiences. Good breakfast with buffet selection. Overlall would stay again.

I took my boyfriend away to Paris for his surprise 25th, we were spose to stay at the Libertel Gare Du Nord, due to its location to Gard Du Nord station. We were moved to the Canal St Martin as there was a problem with our room, couple would be staying longer due to pick pockets, so had to change hotels, which was done with ease and the hotel paid for the taxi transfer. First, the hotel changed the name into Libertel Canal Saint Martin. Location is of the hotel is ok. Near subway station Jaures and, if you like, within walking distance of Gare du Nord (15 min walk). MacDonalds at 50m, a bakery and supermarket almost next to te hotel. Bus 26 has a stop in front of the hotel. The 2-star (not 1 as you can see above!) hotel offers good value for money. Rooms are not spacious but hey, why complain if you pay only €50 / night? Rooms are clean and that's important.

Clean and quiet room. Free WiFi Internet connection is some rooms (ask first), few step to Metro station. Helpful employees. Good value with discount. Would definitely stay there again.

This place was fantastic value for money. We were on the second top floor with a private balcony. The room was small but clean and had everything we needed. The staff... well, i cant praise the staff enough. Their service was excellent (escpecially helping sort out the issue with the moulin rouge). We had friends meeting up with us from switzerland and the uk and they endeavoured to put us all on the same floor, we even had drinks on our balcony one night (and i must admit, werent quietest people) and they asked if we needed anything.... more

Modern, clean, with a spotless bathroom. Very comfy beds, and in our case, a balcony with a view of Sacre Couer. Very nice desk staff. Excellent location near Jaures metro stop, 2 good bakeries (St Preux is one) and a Monoprix a few doors away. Wonderful, if small, shower. Room was small, but very clean, prices were excellent ($75/double). Highly recommend.

I give them excellent rating mostly because of the reviews I have read before (better than expected). Staffs are very helpful (especially the night shift), the room I stayed at seems like recently remodelled, with a bathtub good for a 6 feet tall person. Breakfast is standard, at least they have all the basic selections. Room size is not my concern so for those who need space it's probably less convenient. Neighborhood is safer than I expected too. Stayed at this hotel from 1-5 July 2005. The rooms were very small, even by European standards. We stayed in the second of the three buildings and most evenings were quiet. It was very warm while we were there and there is no Air Conditioning ( as listed in some of the literature). There was a small fan provided. The bathrooms are very small and cramped. Just returned from stay at this hotel. I was a bit concerned at the lack of reviews but could not turn down the 50 Euro 'Hot Buy' per night rate. Location was in the 19th Arr which is not really very central to the main tourist sites but it was only steps away from the Jaures metro so you can be anywhere with 30 minutes. My non smoking room 1303 was small but not ridiciously so and the bathrrom looked recenltly renovated, it is classed as a 2 star superior and I would concur with that rating as it was thought it was closing in on a 3 *... more

Although the hotel is classed as only a 2 star superior I felt it was well worthy of being a three star. The room was fairly small but nice and had a colour tv (which actually included some english channels which was a bonus!).Continental breakfast was included which was good(especially the croissants and pain au chocolats) and there was always plenty to choose from.
