Loved it!!!
I stayed at the Iroquios hotel during a business conference July 25-27, 2005 in a standard queen size room. I had read the reviews from this site regarding the rooms because my biggest concerns are cleanliness and space. I am willing to pay the extra money to have clean sheets, minus the bugs! Anyway, the rooms were clean, no bugs, and spacious. I would definitely stay there again, without a doubt. The price was reasonable as well to be in midtown area ($275.06 per night). Please view the pictures I have attached.
Jewel of a hotel
Stayed at this hotel as part of a weekend cyberpackage by Northwest Airlines. The staff at the Iroquois worked exceptionally hard to please--from the bellman to the concierge to the front desk staff. As a member of the Small Luxury Hotels' club, I was upgraded to a view room; they were very nice when I asked to be moved to the back of the hotel instead (no view, but very quiet). They delivered wine and fruit to our room with a note congratulating us on our anniversary. The concierge gave us great resto suggestions. The bellman got us a... more
The Iroquois Hotel - July 26-29, 2005
The location is perfect - Two blocks from Times Square and two blocks from Grand Central. It is within walking distance to many tourist attractions, great restaurants and Subway stations. However, the room was small (I reserved an Excutive King) with not a whole lot of room for storing luggage and other personal items (but more than likely you will not be in the room very much). Even though the room was small, it was very nice. Good linens and a nice bathroom with nice decor/furnishings. I called to confirm my reservation about two... more
The Iroquois is awful
I went to the Iroquois with anticipation since it had a very appealing website and was touting itself as a luxury hotel and was unpleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was extremely short-staffed, resulting in a situation where one's requests were handled rudely. The room I stayed in, billed as an executive king room, was very small, very dimly lit and depressing. They claim to have 24 hour room service which they dont. They do not have a telephone operator or direct access to the services, everything being routed to the front desk,... more
A nice part of the apple
We really enjoyed our stay at the Iroquois. This was our first stay in a Manhattan hotel and we were looking for a smaller non-chain hotel to get a real experience of New York. This hotel was just as we expected with no unpleasent surprises. We never felt crowded and the staff was very helpful and courteous. We stayed on the 11th floor. Our deluxe room had a king bed that was plush comfort. The bathroom was exquisite with the smooth marble tile throughout. The water pressure and temperature of the shower were excellant and there were oatmeal... more
Great Service
My stay was outstanding. I had requested a room with a view of the Chrysler building and even though they couldn't promise anything, they got it done. I ran out of toothpaste and they delivered a new tube. In the evening, I requested a table at Triomphe, and the concierge made it happen by reserving a corner table by the door in the bar -- a really nice spot. It was raining when we left for the theater and they gave us umbrellas. Tremendous service. I won't hesitate to stay there again -- hopefully soon.
Adored the Iroquois
Oustanding service. Wonderful modern rooms. Extrmely courteous staff.
Luxuriously comfortable
We stayed in the Iroquois for 2 nights even though the rooms were small the beds were luxuriously comfortable. It was convenient to Times Square,Broadway and fifth ave.and on a quiet street.
A good 4 star
Staff excellent, rooms quiet, location good for broadway visits-a good value for the price, cannot really adjust temp in room-building has one temp a nice, tourist hotel-molton brown toiletries are a nice touch-typical small old building new york hotel; good that had computer in little library for guests internet use for free
Two thumbs up
My husband and I stayed in the executive suite with our daughter and niece in October 2004. The hotel itself was nice and there was an adequate gym with a sauna that we were pleased with. Our room was quite large, with a decent sized living room and queen hide-a-bed for the girls. The only thing I'd change about the suite layout would be to have the bathroom located between the living and bedroom. As it stands, if one of the girls had to make a trip in the middle of the night, they had to trek through our bedroom. Everything was... more
