Marriott Courtyard Manhattan Hotel

Stayed in the Courtyard Marriot during Christmas. Found good deal from their website. Staff are very friendly! We arrived in the morning, and we got the room right the way. Instead of 1 bed, we had 2 beds! Room is not fancy, but very clean. Ceiling of the washroom needs to be fixed... Paint started to chip... Good location. There is subway station right at the corner. However, that entrance (also another entrance accross the street) do not open all the time... Maybe it was weekend or other reason... In this case, I need to walk to Times... more

Stayed here over the weekend of 12-10-05. Awesome hotel with a great location - but out of the rush. The rooms were so quiet with a flat screen TV. They were also clean and a great size for a NYC hotel. I have stayed at the W Times Sq and the Grand Hyatt - this was much better! Would stay again!

The Courtyard staff is outstanding. We were greated every time we returned and they were always very helpful with directions. Location was perfect, close to Times Square but out of the rush. Room was quiet and nice, although the bed had a trench on one side. Coffee downstairs was very nice on a cold day and the breakfast was excellent. A great place for a quick weekend away.

I read all available reviews of this hotel before I made a reservation. The hotel was just as good as expected. The check in and check out was superfast. There was a flat tv in the room and we got a room with a view to the Empire State Building without asking it. When we arrived to the room we got a phone call from reception and they asked if everything is ok in the room. This is a hotel near Tmes Square and Macy's so what you can concentrate on them and the hotel will take care of everything else. So what's more to be expected !

This is a Times Square location with a Garment District address, which poses few problems except for the view. Most rooms in this business grade hotel look out on a dressmaker's table or eye-to-eye with with some desk jockey. For a lucky few-in-the-know, there are rooms with a snappy view of the Empire State Building just a few blocks away...spectacular views precisely framed by the drab buildings across 39th Street. Excellent hotel. The rooms were immaculate, the free coffee in the lobby was out of this world; and breakfast delicious. Everyone working there just seemed so nice. Someone even welcomed us "home". Only drawback....there's a manager at the front desk (with horrible makeup), who treated us like we were idiots. She sang her answers to our questions! Who does that? We stayed here for 4 nights in late September and had a great experience at this hotel. The staff could not have been nicer - they were extremely helpful in all our requests. We stayed on the 2nd floor and couldn't believe how quiet it was! A few horn honks or sirens now and then, but overall it was very quiet. The rooms were more than big enough, very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. You can't beat the location - just off Broadway and just a short walk to Times Square. We could not have had a better experience! Checked in early, courteous, friendly staff, 24 free coffee (woo), clean, renovated facilities, helpful concierge. Great location: near to it all, but quiet! 5 pillows for each double bed, view of Empire State Bldg, intimate size- not too busy, elevators always quick and readily available! Hotel breakfast not worth it when coffee shops abound and free coffee is in the lobby!

Clean, very helpful and friendly staff. The location next to Bryant Park is superb, so you can walk with the free coffee or tee to the park in the morning and make your plans for the day.

Have stayed at this hotel several times for its proximity to both transportation hubs. For a no-frills place they do everything well and right. Warm welcome, nice-looking though smallish lobby, rooms are quiet and immaculate. Great breakfasts (no dinners at most Courtyards), huge snack selection on lower level and pleasant employees make this a great choice for either business travelers (very swift checkouts!), those wishing to cover the midtown sights easily or, like myself, a purchaser of early-morning Amtrak tickets.
