REDICULOUS PAPER CARDS NEEDED FOR ANYTHING:
Usually in all inclusive hotels you have a wrist band. I like this option. However in this Hotel, you are made to carry a small paper card around with you needed to get any food or any drink! This is a bad idea as it can get wet, it can tare, you can loose it, you could forget it leaving it in your room being made to go and get it before you get any drink or food. This caused us a lot of trouble as 2 men going away drinking having to remember to carry a bit of paper round with them
SIGNING FOR EVERTHING:
Simple as that. Every time you get a drink, you have to sign. Every time you want to eat you have to sign. And I do mean EVERY time! Example, me and my friend want x2 drinks (thats one each) for starters the bar staff are reluctant to give me even 2 drinks, questioning me and when i finally get my x2 drinks I have to sign. 15mins later another drinks due another signature is due. Annoying to say the least.
HOTEL BAR:
Lets get one thing straight, the bar closed around 23:30. Meaning you do not get any more all inclusive drinks. End of. You can pay for drinks from here on in and they use premium drinks as apposed to house drinks. But unless you are away with a small child then you are more than likely going to want a few drinks past 23:45. We didnt complain, however there were several elderly couples from Liverpool who didnt class going to bed at midnight a holiday. They actually turn the lights in the WHOLE of the BAR i.e you are sitting there in the dark from 1am. The bar staff then encourage you to go to bed.
The waiting times to get a drink at the bar were OUTRAGEOUS!! We alse found that as the 23:30 deadline for the all inclusive drinks was due to run out the bar staff we SLOWER at serving drinks, as though they, in some way, were we going to loose money if they served us drinks, as though they were reluctant to serve us drink.
Many times we found ourselves drinking at another bar rather than at the hotel and this wasnt my idea of "an all inclusive holiday".
Remember that when reading this we are x2 23 year old men, our opinions may not stick for everyone.
I gave the hotel 5/10 because the staff were very freindly, the food was as you'd expect from an all inclusive hotel, slightly repetative but good, facilitied were excellent including swimming and gym. It was the bar and signing for everything that has lowered the score.

Submitted By: Mrs M NDidn't like the idea of paying to use the indoor pools, gym. The minibar costs 2E a day if you want to keep stuff in it! Hired car so don't know about public transport. Lovely small beach in La Pineda.
Tours from hotel really expensive! Rooms very small so don't expect to spend loads of time there! Not much in the way of entertainment in the evenings! Port Aventura is 5 minute drive away!
Not a spectularly lovely part of Costa Dorada but good value! We drove to Barcelona - it took around 1.5 hours. Mind the toll fees approx 10/14 E each way!

Submitted By: Mrs P E Rawsthorneespecially for all inclusive. The Management had no idea how to deal with it, there were no facilities for anything to eat other than the dining room whereas everywhere i have been all inclusive there has been snack bars open from 10.30am until 11.30pm for those who wished to sleep in and get something later on. I cannot fault the Waiter service they were excellent but i am DISGUSTED witht he attitude of the Head Barman and his underling, there were two main barmen unfortunately i did not get the name of the one of whom i am speaking but i am sure you will know because of the constant disputes that took place throughout the week.
The rooms and cleanliness of the hotel was spot on but the food left something to be desired owing to the poor choice especially evening meals i was of the opinion that the left overs were put out the next day. It ended up the same choice of meals in fact one night i only had a banana roll for my meal owing to the fact i am not able to eat half of the choice put out and
i was not on my own. I am very disappointed with the hotel and also the facilities for entertainment were non existent if you were not a child, excellent for the children but not adults. I would also say i have never had to go to my room by 12pm whilst on holiday before when i have stayed in the hotel of an evening i have been pleasantly entertained allowed to drink without discussing how many i had had and then stand for another five minutes waiting to sign a receipt. This is my only holiday this year and so upset to think it was the worst experience i have ever had. I know i will not be the only person out of the party to complain and i know for a fact that other people who are still there are very disatisfied with things. My recommendation would be for you to go to a hotel that has been all inclusive for quite a time and see how they work it but more importantly GET SOME PLEASANT BAR MANAGERS NOT ONES THAT CANNOT COPE AND THEN TAKE IT OUT ON THE STAFF.

Submitted By: Mrs M MontgomeryFound the meals good, always a good choice of meat for dinner. Breakfast was a bit lacking, poor quality bacon and sausage. Good choice fruit, cereals and breads.
They stopped giving bottles of cola for the all inclusive and insisted on giving draught cola which is not very nice. I would not recommend the all inclusive.
The reception staff were brilliant, very informative in regards to places to visit, bus times, even sold tickets to the theme park, which was great.
Went a trip to Barcelona Zoo, also really good.
Overall a good choice.

Submitted By: Miss G BleasdaleI went with my husband and 4 children ages ranging from 11 up to 15, they enjoyed everything, apart from the entertainment which was a bit poor at night times and tended to cater for the older generation like me and my husband.
I would definitely go back but just as a couple not with the kids! The beach near the hotel was spotlessly clean and free from overcrowding which is brill.
ver all this hotel is top notch and the best in La Pineda.

Submitted By: Mr P WillmentThe food was well cooked beautifully presented, a wide variety and a pleasure to eat.
The staff was always pleasant and helpful the entertainment staff work very hard to please everyone but as we all know that’s not possible, always a few that will complain but Dani and the other staff continue to try.
As for the area la Pineda, Salou, and the Cambrils have a wide range of things to do for young and old theme parks, excursions to Barcelona the monastery boat trips, even horse riding, carting and off road buggies which was a great laugh, the beaches are beautiful no end of shops, cafés and restaurants for all your tastes in food.
A highly recommended hotel and destination which we as a family can’t wait to go back to.

Submitted By: Mr S BrownMinus side, the staff mostly spoke very little English and you have a card that you have to sign on a bill every time you have a drink or order drinks with your food, the bill says 00000 but you sign.
We had only one bar staff and the hotel had 100s of people (mostly Spanish very few English) as weather not very good all entertainment stopped, the indoor pool is very small and you have to wear a cap to swim, outside pools no bar nothing, TV all Spanish just euro sport.
Food I will eat most things but any English family will find the food will not be of a 2 star ratting, meat under cooked and I could not give them more than 2 out of ten for food.
Never seen a rep in hotel but as hotel was bad, we used the busses and found very easy to go any where, but this was found from people at bus stops not in hotel. I know this is off season but I have traveled the world and would if on your own or with family say don’t go.
