Upon reading the reviews after booking our holiday away we was worried, but once arrived we was greated by the manager @4:30am whom sleeps on the sofa waiting for the new arrivals as the bar is the reception, we stayed in room 411, (attic room) we was pleasantly surprised on the size of the room, alot bigger than we expected, (balcony tiny thou) but that was of little concern to us as we spent our day round the pool/bar area, were we was always made to feel welcome by the staff, especially habid, this guy is always playing around trying his best to entertain you and has never failed to make the guests have a good enjoyable time around the pool area, his juggling is amazing, generally a honest nice lad.
As we got into our holiday we was asked if we would join the Turkish night, we agreed and the turn out was great about 30 ppl came, the food was exelent the entertainment was awesome, they booked break dancers and a belly dancer we was all dancing and having a great time, habid did his juggling that night and pulled off a superb act, we all teased him about how he should juggle fire and to our amazment he pulled that off, the service throughout the night was second to non, couldn't fault a single thing, after the night we went into icmeler centre had a great time with ppl we met at our apartments then returned to Adler and habid stayed with us drinking till gone 6am (he had to be up at 10am for work again)
We have really enjoyed our time here.
Few things tommys round the corner is great, 1.50tl for a bus to the centre, and stops running at 1am, rooms are basic, not a issue for us, Adler is nicely located in the old town so is peaceful with a nice little supermarket next to tommys bar.
We have had a great, entertaining time, would we return??? Hell yea!!
Habid you are a great great man never fails to amaze

Diabolical and that is putting it mildly. If these apartments were in the UK they would have been shut down. Death trap, dirty, unprofessional staff - never, never, never will I stay there again. (YUK)

These apartments are an absolute NO NO, we arrived at these apartments on the 28th August and had booked for 18 nights as we stayed there last year for 3 weeks and had a great time, this year was a completely different story!
There was 4 of us that were staying there, me my mum and 2 friends and we weren’t very happy at all when we saw our rooms, we aren’t fussy people as long as we have a clean shower room and somewhere clean to sleep which this really wasn’t the case floors were never mopped, bedding only changed every 3/4 days, the cleaners came in once a day to empty the bins and that was all then had the cheek to leave an envelope in our rooms saying TIP BOX.
Any attempt to leave the apartments to go into town you were hassled by the bar staff to sit down and eat there, which to me booking self catering you have the right to do as you please but they really do not like it but we didn’t let this bother us and we just did our own thing. We would come back on a night to have a drink but that didn’t seem to be enough. After been there about 3 days we paid our bar bill for all 4 of us witch we normally pay daily but had left, when the bill came it was around 300 lira which we all put our share in and a tip then the boss came over and told us that it was 109 lira short! Were we knew dam well that it was there, then another person staying at the apartments came over to ask us if we had lost a 50 lira note so obviously the wallet had been opened by a member of staff when it was taken from us. The boss told us that if we gave him that and another 30 lira it would be ok. ROBBING *******S.
Now for the rest of it on our 9th night there we had gone into town for a meal and when we got back to our rooms someone had been in my room and had a [--] in my toilet, when I went down stairs to tell the bar manager Ryan he just laughed in my face and told me that it may have come down the pipes from another room or maybe back up the toilet, we told him that that hadn’t happened because there was skid marks down the toilet. He also said it could of been someone that was staying there because some of the keys fit other rooms. This may sound funny but it isn’t nice to know someone could just get in your room when your not there or even come in when you are there. The next night we all went into town again as our friend was in a karaoke comp at the Karaoke Bar. Staff at the apartments knew he was in the comp and guess what 2 of the staff walked passed while we were there which is very unusual as they are always at the apartments. My mum got the last dolmus back to the Adler as we wanted to stay out longer and within 20 minutes we had a phone call off her saying that her room had been burgled, we got a taxi straight back and found out that 400 cigarettes had been taken 300 lira and a pair of sunglasses, they had been right through her suitcase, medicine bag tipped out everywhere and also through her jewellery. The room had been entered by the door because when she went out she only left the switch on for the living room light so when she came in and put the fob into the wall for the electric that light would come on but when she did that every light came on!!!! We were obviously very angry and did shout a bit when we got back but who wouldn’t be pissed off for been burgled. The useless rep was there that night and police (for someone else) and she took photos and the boss said he could replace the cigarettes and the rep told us that she would meet us at 3 the next day.
After sitting around waiting for the rep to come and talk to us, as she was taking statements from the bar staff she came over to us and told us that we were getting kicked out and that we would have to go and find somewhere straight away as we didn’t have another night there, she couldn’t even help us to find anywhere and just told us to go into town and ask and that we couldn’t claim any expenses back as we were booted out for been pissed of that we ha been burgled lol. Thankfully we went to see the lovely people at HOTEL ELIF were we spent all of our time anyway and within an hour he had the best room in there hotel (honeymoon suit) for £280 for the remaining 8 days the full roof for our balcony lovely... We then went to get our cases from Adler to move to our new hotel and then had another run in the most horrible Turk manager that I have ever met, he told us that he has heard us laughing at 4.30 in the morning about the burglary that we were supposed to have planned, he called my mum a liar to her face while she was in tears and said we had set it all up! Then had the cheek to say he was checking the rooms to make sure we hadn’t stolen anything.
If you don’t want this horrible experience that we have had stay well clear and make sure that you read all the reviews on here about how bad it is because they are all TRUE, someone else had things taken after we had gone.
And oh yes the pool does stink and is very slippery!!
You have been warned

On arriving at Adler at around 3am, we were shown to our room which was on the ground floor. We walked in, looked (and smelled) around and couldn't believe we had booked ourselves something so bad! It smelt very damp and the furniture was ancient, smelly dark wood, the sofa beds had seen better days (I wouldn't have wanted to sit on them, let alone sleep on them), the shower room had no external window so was very dingy and the general state of the place was very poor. We learnt from other guests that the ground floor rooms had been badly flooded a couple of days before and this probably contributed to the damp smell and feel to the room. We put up with it for 2 nights while we tried to arrange to move, but in the end decided to ask if they could move us within the apartments, which they did with no problems. We ended up on the very top floor in a much brighter apt, with slightly better fixtures, fittings and furniture, however the bathroom absolutely stunk of sewerage. If we kept the bathroom door closed it was bearable but there are serious drainage issues at this place! We only used the pool once as we prefer the beach, and I wouldn't recommend the pool for children, the kids area was very small and there was no shallow end to the main pool so I think they would be bored with the tiny area. On the up side, the staff were mostly friendly, Ardem in particular (although he is leaving next week)although they could have done with speaking a bit more English, it was very hard to make yourself understood most of the time. Basically, the place needs a complete refurbishment as I think it could be really nice, but they need to sort out the drains, bathroomss, furniture and electrical appliances (fridge, AC,etc). Clean towels every day!

Had this been our first visit to Turkey, rather than our eleventh, we would certainly never have returned. The Adler Apartments are in desperate need of a complete refurbishment; currently they are poorly equipped and the beds are extremely uncomfortable. The staff are generally fairly pleasant but have no idea whatsoever about the hotel industry. Bar bills should be checked very carefully as you WILL be charged for drinks or meals you have not had - this could be down to unscrupulous guests who realise the staff have no idea which room you are staying in so give room numbers other than their own - fascinating. The area around the stinking pool (far too much chlorine) is dangerous. We saw a number of people fall and one lady lost consciousness following a head injury and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. There should be safety matting around the pool, not only on the walkways to the apartments. There are a massive number of steps - down to apartments, up to apartments and between apartment blocks. The best way to the rear block was via the back garden! Following torrential rain a number of apartments flooded, including ours, and we were very quickly relocated to a much nicer, slightly better equipped and better decorated apartment. Had the management maintained the foul smelling and leaking drains the problem may not have been so serious although it was appreciated that the rain was rather more than a shower! We were offered a free breakfast after the flood - a nice gesture you might think but it was extremely distressing for the family on the next table when they discovered an extinguished cigarette in one of their meals. It transpires that the previous owner of these apartments borrowed money from a group of Kurds using the apartments as security. When he did not repay his debt, the Kurds took over, hence a run down place run by a group of dubious looking characters who haven't a clue and couldn't give a damn as long as they are lining their pockets. It seems that this group will only be at the apartments until the end of the season when a new owner will take over. The new owner would be well advised to change the name as well as undertake a complete refurbishment. The jewel in the crown is the Gunes Supermarket / Sun Restaurant over the bridge. The owner, if somewhat overbearing at first, is a wonderful little man who will go out of his way to help in any way. His restaurant is absolutely superb and the food produced by his chef is some of the best I have ever eaten in this wonderful country. The only good thing about the Adler Apartments is that they are opposite this wonderful restaurant and in a lovely quiet part of Icmeler.

well i must say its no frills at the adler but to be honest we didnt expect there to be as long as it was clean it will do you dont spend much time in your room do you.
the pool was a good size with plenty of sunbeds just to much chlorine but when asked if they could tame it down a bit they did no problems.
the adler is in the old village with lovely views all round you and a nice little village just round the corner with some real turkish life the people always smiled and said hello.the staff at the adler were great boss man ronaldo and ryan (brunie bear)and the others who i cant remember there names were brill all holiday we even managed to get boss man with a few tricks and he took them in good grace a great bunch of lads and they couldnt do enough for you.entertaiment on most nights plus staff dances .all in all if you want a good cheap holiday with no frills then give the adler a try.miss you all and hope to see you again.

Have just returned from what i can describe as the worse hotel ive ever stayed at! I really cant say a good word about the place, so lets just list the bad things - we arrived on a sunday evening got given the key and paid for air con an extra £21. one of the reception staff took us up to our room while gropping my girlfriend. we was put in the attic room of the hotel, noticed straight away that the grounds and general condition of the hotel were very run down and dirty also the stair well was external and was open to the elements which meant the only thing between us and all the noise was our apartment door. On being dumped into our room the staff member showed us how to use the broken air conditioning unit, and told we needed to fiddle around with the key a little to get it going. We did as it was very hot when we arrived and had paid for it, but was useless and all that came out was hot air. went down stairs to get some water from their 24hr mini market which was closed, and it remained closed for the entire lenght of our stay. Now for the rest of the room. very tatty and worn out furniture, no kettle or toaster a tv with one fussy channel in turkish, a fridge that sounded like a power plant in the room humming all the time which we had to unplug which had tape holding the plug and the wire together just to get some sleep. no curtains just some feeble net curtains that was falling down and i had to repair just to get privacy so no one in other block could see in. our balcony was surposed to be a land view and all we got was a view of the other roof and was only big enough for 2 worn out chairs and no table you couldnt even hang out wet clothing. and now for the best bit the bathroom the bathroon/shower/toliet/washing basin and what i mean by all the slashes is that it was all together with no shower cubicucle just a shower head on the eve of the roof the tiles were all cracked and odd the grout was black with mould and there was hair in the small rusting drain holes which was part of the bathroom floor. everytime we had a shower the toliet, the rotting door and the floor got soaked which my girlfriend slipped on in the middle of the night due to the drains staying blocked and the floor staying flooded. we reported the drains being blocked and the manager appeared on our last day there and took a knife out of the kitchen drawer and used it to lift up the rusting drain covers and poking down the drains. he then left and put the knife back in the drawer with out washing it and left a load of muck from the drains all over the bathroom floor. thats enough for the appartments now. the rest of the hotel was a death trap it had exposed wiring everywhere which a child could of reached and electricuted themselves. the so called gardens were over grown with old scrap littering it. also fake grass covering the uneven paths which was a trip hazard we also found used condoms littering the grounds. the pool smelt odd and never dared go in as there was missing drain covers and broken tiles everywhere. the water in the pool looked green on a daily basis. the sun beds looked like they hadnt had new covers for years as was stain ridden. we didnt stay in hotel much apart to sleep so we cant comment on the food or bar but as for walking through to our room we had the staff shouting sexy girl and sexual comments to my girlfriend, she was worried to go out by herself. as for the adler appartments as a whole if it was in the uk it would be shut down a long time ago. dont listen to people saying its okay ive stayed at okay places and this was nothing like them. stay well away

Well what can i say?? had a brill time, best family holiday ever.. little girl loved it,we loved it, service was brill!!! food is amazin, especially soup and meats. they always tried their best all the time with us and everyone that was there. i would definitely reccomend this to anyone that wants a good family holiday, they are brill with the kid's. our room got cleaned every day, clean bedding and towels they even tidied room up for us,really tried the best!! there is only 2 downfall which is the walk the beach if you have little one's but buses are very regular and very very cheap. and also the pool, if you go into the pool for 2 long you will get a rash.. we met lots of great people e.g louise, kerry and kid's..the apartment staff and friends really made the holiday the best hol ever! will def go back.. abbie my daughter loved it! and that's good enough for me. c u next year adler!!! On arrival to the Adler Apartments, everything appeared as it should be, the rooms were clean, basic but no less than we were expecting given the price we paid. However as the holiday progressed it soon became apparent the Adler Apartments were not going to give us the relaxing holiday we were looking for.
Members of staff followed us out at night, becoming aggressive if we spoke to anyone other than them, making it very difficult to relax and enjoy ourselves (note it was not all members of staff, however a few key workers were overly persistant) They strolled into our apartment when we were getting dressed, and refused to leave unless we agreed to go out with them, meanwhilst there cigarette or joint was burning, making all our clothes smell.
The manager was the worst of the lot. Power hungry with absolutely no concept of business. Having repeatedly groped us throughout our stay, making comments such as ' sexy ladies' and 'cheeky girls' he then took it upon himself to throw us out of our apartment a night early, despite us having paid for a full 10 nights. After questioning his reasons for doing so, it soon became aparent that he was on a power trip, and therefore continued to be verbally abusive towards us in front of all the other guests. Given our age we did not have a leg to stand on, and he was not willing to step off his pedistool, even when we offered to pay for an extra night he refused, and when other guests tried to intervene and book us another night, he still declined. Very good business accument, declining money!!!! Luckily a very kind family allowed us to spend the last night in one of their rooms, so we ended up with a room at no extra charge, much to the managers distaste. On checking out, 2 of my friends had gone to the market in the main town, leaving myself and one other friend to move the luggage out to the bar ready for pick up.I requested assistance from some of the bar staff on the grounds the there were numerous steps to carry the bags up, and i had a broken foot (in plaster cast and on crutches)however yet again my request was denied and therefore my friend and I were left alone to move four large suitcases. thankfully passing guests helped.
Iclemer as a town was satisfactory, however the Adler Apartments were run by crooks, and would have been shut down a long time ago if it was in Britain. Speaking to other guests, they to had numberous complaints. And after breaking my foot in their swimming pool and being treated the way we were, all i can say is, i hope their lawyers are as good as mine.

We arrived at 7.30 in the morning. There was no receptionist waiting for me - he was asleep, we had to wake him up. The first thing he tried to do was sell up air conditioning and a safety deposit box. We said we would think of it later and that we needed to have a sleep first. When we looked around we could see that the place was filthy and hadnt been cleaned properly for a long time. When we looked at the bathroom it was absolutely disgusting and the toilet seat and toilet were undescribable!! I immediately went back to him and said the place was filthy and he said the bed had clean sheets on and that the cleaner would be there at 12 noon. I wasnt happy but needed to have a nap so went back and hoped for the best. Needless to say the cleaner never arrived despite our repeated requests. We were obviously unhappy and angry. We couldnt understand why a member of staff coulnt clean the room as there were 3 of them around doing not a lot. We went to the local supermarket and a very friendly man there advised us that the Mola Apartments right next door to the Adler were very nice and that everyone who stayed there appeared to be very happy with the place. To cut a long story short, we had a look, liked what we saw and went back to the Adler and within 10 minutes had packed our bags and moved. What a relief, the Mola was brilliant, lovely staff - family run - very very clean etc. We had to pay again but worth every penny for the piece of mind.
