We have just returned from a week in Fourka, the hotel was clean and friendly. Things you need to know before you book or visit
The resort is very small and quiet; the evening entertainment is all about eating or drinking in small taverna. The hotel do arrange a bbq once a week which was great. If you are looking for something other than a relaxing break this isn't for you!
The hotel staff are great and will try to accommodate when they can, the rep was ok but not as nice as you would imagine a rep to be. Please note that the towels and sheets are only changed once a week.
There is a great supermarket at the end of the road which sells everything you need including pampers nappies if you need them.
Restaurants are fantastic and excellent value for money, the best was Viktoria!
The beach is very beautiful but all stones so be careful
Lots of people had problems with mossies so be prepared
Overall the holiday was lovely, the people made it but a week was enough for us.

Just returned from a wonderfully relaxing weeks break in Fourka. The studio (room 205) was clean and tidy, although the sink/cooker unit did look ready for replacing. All the staff were pleasant and very helpful. Stelios (stand in for a 'chuckle brother' look alike) and Illios were always on hand to offer assistance.
Small amount of noise heard from the bar area at night, but generally all quite by 00:30.
A few of the other guests complained about the lack of things to do around Fourka. However, if they had taken the time to read other reviews about the area they would have got a true picture of the resort. Small, quite and relaxing. Exactly what the doctored ordered.
Not may restaurants still open, but of those that were could definitely recommend Viktorias, massive portions, well cooked and Faros (in the square), again very well cooked food and adequate portions.
Weather was a bit 'hit and miss', although having been previously to northern areas of Greece at this time of year, was expected so didn't spoil our stay in any way.
If you are looking for a really, really, really laid back break, with not many distractions and a lovely little beach, then this is the place to come. If you are after something else......go elsewhere.

Fab holiday. Very Greek and very relaxing. All totally laid back and relaxing.
Wonderful beach at beach babe with crystal clear sea. Great trip on sunshine cruise - well worth the money. Weather was fabulous and apartments were clean and tidy.
Staff very friendly and our rep was just marvelous. Cant speak highly enough of our apartments, resort or rep.

What a fantastic trip! We returned two days ago and I still wish we were there. I was unsure of what to expect from this holiday as it was a bit of a cheapie. But the apartments were very clean and the staff were very friendly. Stelios was a real credit to the management. He was always available with a cheery disposition and helpful hand (we were not too keen on Illios though).
We would recommend hiring a car which we did through europcar and allowed us to explore a little bit. We regularly visited Kalithea which is a neighbouring resort about 10-15 mins drive away. It has a wonderful beach which is clean and so pleasant. The sea is shallow for ages and the water crystal clear. Although Kalithea was lovely, the food there was not fantastic. It was much nicer closer to the apartments, in particular Taverna Victoria which was good value for money and superb quality. We didn't rate the beach close to the apartments and preferred the one in Kaithea.
We found that it was cheaper to drive to the local water park than book through Thomson. It is an easy drive close to the airport (approx 1hour). Petrol is cheap and the entrance is 12.5 euros per adult (although it is not a massive water park it is still great fun!)
We would definitely like to return next year! An A+ holiday.

Got back yesterday, had a great time. Weather fantastic, apartments really nice (probably the best we've stayed in in Greece). Kids loved the spiral staircase. Lovely pool (except for the rough floor, few children had cut feet). Stelios really friendly, always busy, nothing too much trouble (didn't rate the other one much though, a bit too laid back at times). Rooms were cleaned on a regular basis, no complaints at all.
Trips laid on by Thomson we found were very expensive. Just down the road from apartments (towards the beach) is a car hire/money exchange who arrange same trips but for half the cost. Tour operators advise against trips other than with themselves but we had a great time, no problems whatsoever.
Fairly quiet resort, enough tavernas and restaurants to eat somewhere different each night, best ones we found were Victoria, Faros and Bella Venezia, food lovely and service with a smile!
Not much in the way of shopping in Fourka itself, few small gift shops, best one being Medusa. Brought quite a bit of money back as nothing to spend it on!

My family and I have just returned from staying at Aristidis and Kandelis apartments. Apartment was clean - was cleaned daily and new sheets and towels mid week. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble.
Fourka itself was very quiet (probably the time we went though) We found the best restaurant was La Strada - excellent pizzas and Greek salads! We also hired a car through Thomson for 3 days and explored Halkidiki - Chrousso beach recommended!
Had a brilliant holiday and would definitely return.

The resort was fantastic, situated in a lovely residential area, all the Greek ambiance is still there and the place is not too 'touristy'.
The locals couldn't have been more friendly and helpful especially as we had a two year old with us! The local cuisine was to die for and reasonably priced, however the drinks (alcoholic) were quite expensive, all except lager and wine!
The Beach was beautiful and the actual apartments were a moment away from everything we needed. Stelios and llias were genuinely nice people, the Greek nights were great fun and catered well for children as well as adults.
Pool and other amenities were excellent, and I would recommend this place to anyone, especially those who enjoy a 'chilled out' holiday.
As for Fourka itself, it's fairly small and in May there wasn't a great deal to do, but Thompson provided some varied trips (If you could afford them). I would recommend 'Absolute' Bar, 'The Sea view' Restaurant and 'Viktoria' Restaurant as well as the 'Plaza'.
Overall an excellent experience, would love to go back to see Stelios and Illias again!

Great Holiday at a good base for the resort.
Stellios and Ilias, the main bar staff/reception were fantastic - they couldn't be more helpful. The location of the apartments are great, in so much that every thing is only a very short walk away, but far enough away to avoid any noise. However, some nights, the Aris bar at the accommodation can be a little noisy but not beyond 12pm and wouldn't be heard by most people in apartments located away from the bar.
I did hear that some people complained about the stony/pebble floor of the swimming pool of the accommodation, but my family didn't have any problems with this, better than slippery tiles!
The dog, Rexy is a lovely natured collie dog belong to the bar staff and he is great with the kids, but he does like chasing delivery vans, when they go past!!
The accommodation had tv in each room, which in a Greek resort was a first, as we have stayed in different Greek islands but our first time in the mainline. My only regret that I didn't pack the Playsation2 as I could have played games, CD's and DVD's, by connecting up to the TV there!
The accommodation was cleaned every day and I thought they did a good job - facilities in the room were with basic hob, kettle and fidge, but this isn't a problem really as you are going to eat out every night away!
We have seen that everyone recommended the Victoria and the Stifardo was good but for us a Taverna in the main square, was the best. When you get there, you will notice that there are two tavernas on the beach, one of which has a rusted metal sail and anchor, leading to a wooden area of planking where the Taverna starts. This place is very popular with the Greeks on Saturdays & Sundays, but the location, with your table over looking the Aegean sea, good food, great service, watching a fantastic sunset, is unbeatable!
We want to go back to these apartments again but would want one of the 1 bed apartment as these are the best.

Had a great holiday staying at Aristidis, BBQ night with Greek dancing was great fun.
Stellios the barman is very friendly and has some nifty dive bomb routines! Our room was spacious and bright, although other rooms were not as good (cleaning could have been better too).
The pool was quite rough, although swim shoes can be bought from town for the kids at reasonable prices. We did have quite a few storms, including one night when eating in Neo Skioni and a tree came down blocking the road - 60k detour round the peninsula to get back to Fourka, but it was an adventure! The best beach we found was at Sani further north, and the best food in Fourka is definitely the Victoria Taverna where the stifado is not to be missed.
Also great gyros from the cafe on the roundabout at the bottom of the square.

On arriving at the resort there was a bit of confusion over the rooms, as there was a party of 14 of us it took an hour or so to sort out. The rooms are clean and have basic cooking equipment, the staff at the resort are brilliant really friendly.
Everywhere we went to eat had lovely food, but the most friendly person of all is Tasula at IRIS she is slightly crazy but so kind and she makes the best egg and chips ever!!!

Spent an amazing holiday with my friend here.
Such a lovely place, although initially there wasn't much to do but once you looked around there is real plenty. I personally recommend the Sunshine cruise although I couldn't enjoy it to the full because I don't swim.
The staff are amazing (so are the kittens) can’t wait to visit again next year.
The rep needed to boost her knowledge of medical situations but the clinic in the next town was a great help when I became ill.
Couldn't have asked for a better place.
