lovely holiday
from H0lly_Days
Just returned on 24th October from a weeks stay at the Loutsiana. I took my daughter for her 14th birthday and we loved every minute. We wanted sunshine, somewhere quiet and comfortable and with easy access to restaurants and shops etc. and got it all! The staff were very friendly especially Jack and his English wife Ruth. We had a ground floor studio (room 303) which was basic but clean and fairly spacious. Bathroom was a bit on the small side but adequate. All rooms have a balcony looking towards the pool and gardens. Noting previous comment, we had plenty of sockets in our room in addition to those occupied by TV and fridge. Food at the Loutsiana was lovely, served all day and good value as were the drinks. We hired a car to get around therefore didn't use public transport, so can't comment on fares etc but there were plenty of taxis around and the buses ran approx every 20 mins stopping adjacent to the Loutsiana. You drive on the left in Cyprus, same as England so no problems there and you can pick up a good deal depending on the group of car you require. We booked ours with Avis via our rep. It was delivered and later collected from the apartments. Beaches and Waterpark were about a 10 min walk away. Restaurants nearby served a variety of good quality food, some also had a separate play area for young children. There were four supermarkets within walking distance offering all the basics for a S/C holiday. Ayia Napa was 5 mins away by car. Loads of restaurants, bars, clubs and souvenir shops as you would expect. McDonalds, KFC, and PizzaHut should you require them and plenty of fish restaurants by the harbour. All in all a good holiday. Only downside was the chaos at Larnaca airport on our return. There was no organisation at all to cater for all the flights that leave on Wednesdays and we received conflicting information from the reps regarding which check-in desks to use, so beware.

just back from apts..weather was great though does get dark early (6pm)..our studio apt was fine..everything worked, was cleaned regulary and very well. we actually had a kettle unlike other reviews but no toaster (room 101 )the only gripe really was total lack of free wall sockets so had to unplug fridge to use hairdryer but vh1 on tv was nice . the pool area was nice and the bar/ restaurant was well looked after by jack and his wife with reasonable prices for both food and drink. bus to ayia napa was about £1.80 for two! so easily available for night life (£6 back in taxi after 11.40pm)..no nightscene in local vicinity apart from several nice restaurants and a pub with entertainment..nissi beach area was approx 25..30 min walk.to sum up..decent apts at a reasonable price in a quiet area but ayia napa easily reached
Keep telling yourself it was a bargain & you'll be ok

Except for the dodgy, serial-killer, half-illuminated sign, the hotel looks ok from the outside - the pool is small but clean & pleasant. But our apartment 212 was rubbish! The uber basic kitchenette was nothing more than 2 gas rings and a fridge - no kettle, no toaster and the sparky thing that lights the hob had disappeared. The bathroom had the noisiest toilet ever that took about 7 deafening hours to refill. The real cherry on top was that, bizarrely, the bedroom door had been removed and the Cyprus sun streamed in at 5am - beautiful, but not condusive to a quality nights sleep, but even the cleaner was surprised so I assume that was just our bad luck getting the dodgy apartment. I will say that the apartment was very clean and its right on the bus route into Ayia Napa which was great. Taking into account that I probably expected too much for what we paid and that Im grumpy because Im back home, i'll grudgingly admit that you could probably do worse if you're on a budget.
Had a great time

Eight of us (2 families) recently stayed at the Loutsiana. Good location, near the wonderful Makronissis Beach (don't bother with Nissi Beach, it was too busy and very dirty) and right next to the Water Park. Nice apartments, although I think they could be improved with an electric kettle and toaster, but that's my only gripe. Lovely pool, great bar and fabulous food. Very pleased with our holiday and would definitely recommend these apartments.
Loutsiana a Definite!!!!

We stayed at the Loutsiana in May and loved every minute of it, we didn't want to leave. We stayed for 1 week and the weather was perfect, averaged about 32 degrees every day. The hotel is in a great position for the many beaches and just far enough away from the main town to be quiet but still fun. The staff are helpful and the facilities just what you need on a s/c holiday. V clean and rooms good size. Very nice pool with jacuzzi. Jack who runs the bar is very nice and makes you feel very welcome. The beach by the Dome hotel is the best as the water is so clear and the sand is so white. You don't get bothered by vendors apart from those collecting the sunbed money, and they are really nice, in fact they come round with FREE oranges during the day which is a bonus. Definately stay at the loutsiana again...and again...and again!!! Both hotel and location are A+++++++++++
get a georges jungle juice!!!
from femmefatalerhea
the loutsiana was amazing, i'm flying out to stay there again on the 29th april 2007. Ruth and jack who own the pool bar are absolutely the nicest people i have ever meet. George who also works in the bar makes a secret concoction of alcohol and calls it georges jungle juice, delicious. Gentle man that works in the shop in the apartments is lovely, cant remember his name but he told us all about the history of aiya thekla and the church, very interesting. macronissos beach, the diving school, the diving instructor, panikos learnt us lots of naughty swear words to bring home, great fun. last but not least nicholas and matthew, the thomas cook reps, absolutely amazing people, hope they're there when i get over again. There was lovely people n the next room to us who gave us fruit when they left. Two young girls underneath us, went into the square a few times with them, great fun. young couple we met on the last day, they comforted me for hours when i was sobbing because i didn't want to go home, awww. my main point is i made soooooo many friends out there, everyone is lovely. if you go you'll never want to leave. definitely should be on everyones hit list for holidays. loving cyprus, xxx Rhea xxx
Fantastic holiday!

The Loutsiana apartments are basic, wonderfully clean apartments! They are family run and everyone is helpful and very friendly. They are a bit outside the main part of ayia napa, we got a taxi every night into the square and it was always 5 cypriot pounds! So although this did cost a bit over the holiday, we gladly paid it as it meant the apartments were quiet during the day! Am hoping to return to Cyprus again soon and would definitely look into returning to the Loutsiana apartments! They are excellent value! Also the first drop off from the airport - always a bonus!!

We booked this through Thomas Cook ( i should mention that the Rep Nic is an excellent rep). The apartments are basic but very clean and the beds are comfy. The kitchen is well stocked with the basic items need. Oh and theres a TV in the rooom too (not mentioned in the brochure). The pool is large enough and is kept clean. Plenty of sunbeds and no probs getting one at all. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the food there is also fantastic. It s a great place for young people and families and couples. Plenty of taxis around to get to centre of Ayai Napa- only £4. Great shops and plenty to do and see. The Macrinossos beach is about 10misn walk but soooooo worth it. We spent most of the time on our own on the beach as most people went to the beach near the Dome hotel. The sea is sooooooo clean and wonderful to swim in. This was our first visit to Cyprus and we will defintately go back to the Loutsianna again. Do the Jeep trip to the Trodos mountains- great fun. All inclusive trip on the catamaran very pricey- not sure if it was worth it as we are not great drinkers- but if you are then this is for you!!!! lol Thanks to all for making our holiday wonderful- The Murphys

For me Loutsiana was the perfect location for a holiday to Ayia Napa. The town centre with it's shops, bars and clubs is accessable via the large number of well priced taxi's, but when the day is over and sleep is required you know that a clean room and soft bed await. The main part of the site comprises of the pool surrounded by comfortable ground and first floor apartments. Plenty of greenary around and the bar/cafe is set to one side. The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is one of relaxation. The nearest beach is a good 10 minute walk - sounds quite a long way but it's worth it. If you travel with a holiday company and they offer a boat trip - take it, the best day of my holiday. Relaxing day at sea with lunch and all the sites. Also, spend an afternoon in the bar on the harbour, can't remember the name of it, but really nice. In summary I'd go back again. Next time however I'm going to try and book without the travel agent as the hotel itself is very well priced. Check it's web site!

My Parents have been staying in the Loutsiana apartements for over 10 years now. They love it so much they go back year after year. The service from the staff at the loutsiana apartments can not be beaten else where. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The location is perfect, away from all the hustle and bustle of the town square but yet near enough to get a taxi or a bus. The loutsiana apts is a very well family run business and their repeat custom is very high. They also have villa which are available to rent and I shall be staying in them next year as i will be getting married in Cyprus in May 06. I have recommended the loutsiana apts to all my extended family and friends and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to you. The loutsiana apts are simply the best.
At first I thought we had been dropped off in the middle of nowhere as it was 1.30 in the morning and didn't appear to be a lot around, however there are a few super markets and you can be in the main part of Ayia Napa within a 5 miute bus drive which only cost 2 euro for... more
